Also, Shared Animosity is a super needed reprint. Twenty bucks for a card that only sees casual play is ridiculous.
In EU the card is just ~3 €.
So the difference seems to be incredible high.
If you want a NM English version, the card is actually more like ~10€
If you put all the cards through the shopping Wizard (including Beacon and Regisaur Alpha), the cards alone come out to ~50€, plus 14€ shipping....
Just recently discovered (against a Reanimator in the latest Top-8) that Linvala, Keeper of Silence shuts off my opponents Simian Spirit Guides, and makes them a simple 2/2 for 3 mana
No she doesn't, sorry.
Linvala’s ability affects only creatures on the battlefield. Activated abilities that work in other zones (such as cycling or unearth) can still be activated.
Because if player says "Im not using shortcut: I pass priority in my first main. I want to use my priority in beginning of combat step" (but I'm not telling you what I'm gonna do) then it is ruled out he proposed a shortcut to pass priority...XD
Why aren't you just telling your opponent what you want to do in the Beginning of Combat? Because that's pretty much why the shortcut was made. Players kept finding ways to abuse the rules to trick their opponent into acting after they said:"go to combat?" and then after the opponent acted claimed they were acting in their Main Phase still.
Just say "go to combat and I activate Mutavault"
Mark Rosewater recently talked about the effect of the two-block paradigm on the design of BFZ-block.
I can't find the posts right now, but as far as I remember he indicated that they hadn't gotten that far before they knew there would be two sets.
So regardless of what <> turns out to be, it is unlikely that it was ever meant for more than this single small set. Which is puzzzling either way.
EDIT:He said the third set never got named.
He also said this in his column on 9-14:
Before I wrap up for today, I do want to answer one pressing question. A recurring theme you'll see through this and last week's articles is how often things were changed in development. Spawn turned into Scions. Ingest and Processors were made. Awaken became variable. Converge was added. Why such an excess of changes in development?
The answer is that we decided to swap from the three-set block model to a two-set block model in the middle of the design of Battle for Zendikar. During most of that time, Standard rotation hadn't changed—so we were trying to figure out how to keep Standard from increasing in complexity, and the only answer at the time seemed to be bringing down the complexity of each individual set. That meant I was trying to solve a very complex problem while keeping one hand tied behind my back, and the result is that the set didn't get handed over as complete as I would have liked.
Changing from 3 set blocks to 2 set blocks halfway through design seems like it would have quite an impact...
I agree. And those changes weren't made in the middle of a block where cards are drafted with the old wording.
I keep seeing this brought up a lot, but don't forget that the change to 2-set blocks meant they had to vastly change the design of the set. If the block was originally to be 3 sets, the third set could very well have been a large set, introducing the new colorless mana template. But with the change to the block setup, they had to do it now.
Turn 3 Garruk Relentless, make a wolf
Turn 4 Falkenrath Aristocrat, attack for 6, make a wolf
Turn 5 Falkenrath Aristocrat, attack for 12, make a wolf
Opponent draws and concedes.
That'll get you there!
If I activate Mimic Vat and then copy the token it creates with Riku of Two Reflections, does that token have haste as well?
I'm not sure if "it gains haste" on Mimic Vat is a copiable value.
Thanks!
I get why they added the tap clause, I just really don't like it. Throwing an 8/8 onto plague wind is nice and all, but the reason you play plague wind is because it's always a blow out. This guy could leave you open to a random general shank via lightning greaves. Still a good card, but they could've made it cost say, 5BBBB and cut the tap clause. It's not like you're going to be cheating this guy out so they could've easily balanced things out with the cast cost or other costs. Tapping your team just seems too risky.
You have an 8/8 blocker to take care of any (non-flying) hasted attackers. He only taps all other creatures you control.

285 Caves of Koilos
289 Darkwater Catacombs
292 Dragonskull Summit
305 Karplusan Forest
317 Rootbound Crag
325 Shadowblood Ridge
328 Sungrass Prairie
329 Sunpetal Grove
335 Underground River
I'm assuming all of these will be full cycles

They look very odd, though cool
From the announcement: Each of the four decks contains a sixty-card Magic deck.
