Typically there are two options to aggro decks like Jund. Either control them down, or be more aggressive. There exist several options, some more effective than others, and you have already found one that I agree is effective.
How effective is your deck against other match-ups? I've found that bounce would be weak against current control builds.

Jan 18, 2010Jlong5795 posted a message on Awaiting WorldwakeThere is a difference between reasonably expensive and extremely. My gripe was primarily a comment on BSA, I should have been more specific. I can't remember a time where single standard cards were as expensive as BSA, and formerly Elspeth. There have been several top tier decks where they could be bought for reasonable sums. BSA hovering around $55 a pop is not by any means reasonable.Posted in: Thoughts on the state of current Magic environments
I understand that competitive play isn't for the extremely light on wallet, but it would be nice if those with average sized budgets have alternative that aren't $230 a set.
It's more a dislike of the current situation, not of WotC doing anything wrong. They are doing a great job creating exciting cards, and they don't determine their single prices. -

I was lucky to get on board with the M10 release, but even for those that didn't, it's a great tribe with nice synergy, and that's only getting better.Posted in: Thoughts on the state of current Magic environments

Actually, he would get a warning for a Game Rules Violation, and his opponent would get the Failure to Maintain Gamestate, but only if the game is in progress. Other than cheating, we don't apply penalties to infractions that occurred in completed games. Yes, you should still discuss this with a judge, not because anything can or would be done, but if you do it again, you want to have an open honest history with this judge, so there is no doubt to it being a mistake.

Except from the IPG
"If the trigger instruction is optional (“may”, or “up to X” where zero is a valid choice) and specifies no consequence for not doing it, assume that the player has chosen not to perform the instruction and issue no penalty."
Technically no game error has occured, and the judge should have you continue the turn with you having declined the trigger.
I don't think it's so narrow that it won't see competitive play. Enough top decks have cards that it counters to be worth it. In UW mirror where u want the extra counters, thats perfect against Spell Pierce. In the same match it gets Oust, Condemn, and Pre-Ordain.
I think it is so narrow that FEW decks will use it, but I think unless there's a significant meta shift it is totally playable in top decks, especially control.
Yes it will counter a kicked Goblin Bushwacker, as kicker is an additional cost that has no effect on CMC.
While it has been clarified that it does not counter Green Sun's Zenith, it does present enough utility to be worth considering.
To be fair, WotC did give a reason for not getting rid of the reserved list. They're explaination was if they could do nothing else, they wanted to be a company of their word. They committed to not printing those cards, and so they won't. I would expect major format changes in the next year or so because the new popularity of legacy (thanks SCG) is creating a price barrier for players to begin and continue playing competetive magic. And while WotC doesn't directly benefit from after-market sales, the benefit hugely by people wanting to sleeve up and play with paper.
