My totally wacky (but supported by the current rules) guess : CMC of Zero!
104.2. If anything needs to use a number that can’t be determined, either as a result or in a calculation, it uses 0 instead.
Think about it.
But seriously I think it's gonna be 3 an 4 and 5 and 6, but separately (ie, not 18). As in, does it have a CMC of 3 or less? Yes, it does. Does it have a CMC of 6 or more? Yes, too.
Can't find the rule right now but IIRC there's a section about multiple answers to questions, and all of them being true at the same time.
Anyway that's idle speculation since they're obviously going to rewrite the rules.

why -1/-0 on creatures without shadow when they won't be blocking anyway. Weird. Weird, weird ability.
The idea is that this is a defensive ability, in case a non-shadow creature attacks you, and you can't block, then you can reduce the damage it's dealing to you.
Edit: ... (as others said while I was typing this)...
My guess for Crash Landing:
A instant with "Target creature loses flying until end of turn. That creature deals damage equal to its power to its controller.".
Quote from ferro_man »
i would think that it would deal damage to itself equal to its power...not its controller
Well, "deals damage equals to itself equal to its power" is more of a black ability, as with kiku's shadow, so that's why I went with the "to its controller", which has been seen on red+black cards like backlash before, but has been specifically been "credited" to red in Cinder Shade.

What about the picture of the card? Dont you think it's a bit too big inside the frame? Quite an astonishing card to look at..
Yeah, she's so in your FACE that you just wanna go and... slap that angry, pouty look off her face. Which is a pretty good representation of her ability, methinks :winky: Too bad I don't play red! Although, in limited... yummy.
...including That Which Was Taken (man I wish that had a shorter name...).
How about T.W.Wa.T ?
But, to remain on subject, that card RAWKS! Blue is not usually my top color (more like next-to-last, actually), but if all the ninja triggers are that good, I might switch my current :symb::symu: build from "flying+gating+pump" to super sneaky ninja action!
jraff your card will not fit in the space that is provided.
I thiink it could, considering I actually listed two abilities for the flipped version, and I was saying it could be one *or* the other, but, anyway your version is very clean so it would probably be more likely I guess...
I'm still thinking about double strike, though! ;-)
(..talking to TNK...)From a personal standpoint, I hate your guts and you should hope to never meet me face-to-face as it would not turn out good for you.
Wow. I've seen some pretty rough arguments and flamings throughout years on the net, people calling people nazis, whatever, but this is the first actual physical threat I witness, so I'm rather flabbergasted right now.
Don't get me wrong Sub (*if* that's you, obviously), I don't know you (nor R_E, for that matter) personally or online, and while I don't visit 'News anymore, mostly since almost all the posters whose posts I enjoyed reading are now here, and morally I stand more on this side of the story than on yours, I don't wish you any harm or anything...
But, still, I have to say, if it had been me that had been clearly threatened like that (and if you were living in canada like me), I'd be talking to my lawyer right now. You can't just go and tell people to "stay away from you - or else..." That's just bad form, man, and, might I add, ESPECIALLY in a thread where you're trying to appear like less of a bad guy than you're currently percieved to be.
Oh, and going on with another post like that:
No, I wasn't threatening you, RE. (...)I was talking to TNK.
in which you confirm that you were indeed threatening TNK, doesnt strike me as being very wise, either.
You may be a good businessman, but I'm beginning to think you might not be that much of a... people's person, am I right?
The vibe I got from the story is that Ink-eyes would be a "betrayer" card, ie, a flip card that turns into a spirit ...
On the floor, she drew two quick arcs, then dipped her hands again to make a series of sharp lines intersecting the arcs.
I read that as, if I understood correctly, she summoned an oni after killing the ogre, and that tells me she's been doing arcane magic (and gaining ki counters?)...
Power leaked from her eyes in the form of red mist. Her body felt stronger, faster than it had ever been. Always after her meditations she had felt refreshed, yet nothing could compare to what she now experienced. Her former abilities seemed almost laughable by comparison. Every limb tingled with the hunger to kill.
And after one spell to many, she transforms to an oni herself; her stats go up and she gains new abilities.
That part :
You have brought me more blood, yet I require still more, and will require more after that.
made me think the flipped card would have a sacrifice-a-creature-at-upkeep effect, but then she goes and reanimates the ogre, so that doesnt work very well with the braids-like upkeep sac... Unless she's a goblin welder for creatures ;-)
So my guess for a card would be:
Basic Ninja name :2mana::symb:
rat ninja
*has ninjitsu+flips on having two ki counters gained with spiritcraft, *
2/1
/////flip/////
Ink-Eyes the Desecrator
legendary rat ninja (or spirit?)
:symtap::sacrifice a creature, then pick a creature from any graveyard and put it into play under your control
-or maybe-
when a creature dealt damage by ~this~ goes into the graveyard, put it into play under your control at the end of turn
4/2
(with the wording being obviously off, but you get what I'm saying)
the welder-like ability is a bit strong, but, then again, since we know there's gonna be a resin model of her available for sale, *and* they start their web "heroes" stories with her, I think it's gonna be a card with a very splashy and memorable ability anyway.
I would also speculate that she has double-strike, since a)she seems to be a very good killer, b)her painting (and also the text) depicts her with two weapons, and c)one of which, the naginata, is a long-ranged weapon, giving you a chance to strike your opponent before it reaches you (where you can strike again with your regular knife/sword).
So, maybe I've read (way)too much into this, but I think my speculation isnt too far-fetched, considering the information we had in the text.
Think about it.
