Pringlesman posted a message on Walking Dead Season 4Posted in: TelevisionQuote from mastro80
If you haven't read the comics, they killed her and her newborn in a hail of gunfire. It is truly epic and wasn't ever going to happen on AMC. As an aside, I actually do not think that Carl shot her. Keep in mind all you get on the show is an off-camera gunshot. I expect one of two things to happen: Either she is not actually dead, or she comes back as a walker.
Same article I mentioned earlier talked about this. Kirkman confirmed that she is dead.
What came with the decision not to show Carl actually shoot Lori? Part of me hoped that could mean she's still alive.
Kirkman: You don't want to show too much of that stuff. I think we showed quite a bit in this episode. A lesser show would have a zombie Lori lurking in the prison and doing all kinds of nefarious things. That would be an absolutely hokey, ridiculous thing to do. That's certainly not something we're trying to set up. We were just trying to step back and do this in a little bit more tasteful way.
About why they didn't mirror the way Lori died in the comics.
Unlike in the comics, you guys only killed off Lori, rather than her and the baby at the same time. Was AMC against killing mother and child? Or was that a creative decision?
Kirkman: That was definitely a creative decision. I don't think AMC is, in any way, adverse to any kind of baby killing being done on this show, so I don't want to paint them in that light. It never really came up. As the season progresses, you'll start to see why we made decisions like that. It puts Rick in an interesting place where he was having to work with his wife to keep his son safe, and now he's completely on his own trying to keep his son safe and also has this baby to deal with. As he was moving to a place where he was pushing people away and becoming this hardened leader, moving forward, he might have to open up a little bit and accept help from a lot of people around him.

RobRoy posted a message on The Mafia Council & Helpdesk ThreadPosted in: MafiaQuote from atlsealThere is no really good position between 12 and 16. If you disagree, I'd love to hear your argument. As for between 16 and 18, I'm wanting us to try and limit most games to no more than 18 players. I could see an argument for changing the second stepping stone to being allowed to host a 12 person mini and the last step is 18 players. I still want someone to have a couple games under their belt before being able to host at the limit (barring council exceptions).
My idea would be to have the second step (after a basic) be running any game up to 18 players. Third step is, you can run more than 18 with permission.
I can understand that you want people to work up to running the bigger games, and I think that "run a basic" is a great first step. But I think that, once you've proven you can do that, you should be set loose on all the regular queues. It takes a long time to work through the queues anyway without forcing people to run games they may not want to (or in a form they consider suboptimal) in order to level up to where they can get those extra two players. -

Heh, I'm probably the wrong guy to ask about that. I prefer to just let things move at their own pace and go from there.
The only thing I can think of is feedback. ie: non-judgemental advice on how to do things better. Not 'This is bad, change it.', but 'hey, I think this would be better than what you're doing now.' and just that, no arguing, no pressing further, just one point raised each time you see something that could be improved.
And not just from the community, but from other staff members as well.
Quote from CorpTSenori doesn't think there is a problem and Yomako didn't see anything wrong when he was there (last week). Why would there be change if they didn't see anything wrong? Is it changing or going to change? Do you think there is a problem?
Because change always happens.
It is happening now, though you may not notice the effects for some time.
Yes, I think there is a problem, but it's not exactly what you're talking about.
The problem I see is a rather large staff that are inexperienced in the roles they have been given and the only solution is gaining experience and proper guidance. Everything else is a symptom of this.
Patience, as they say, is a virtue. Don't write something off just because it doesn't improve as fast as you'd hope. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

"Easy to clean up" is not a phrase often posted here in CI, you must be teasing.
