The End of an Era
  • posted a message on [BOK] Uproot
From the same anonymous source as Terashi's Grasp. Please remember not to post this on other forums without giving the Salvation Rumor Mill credit! Smile Better yet, let them come and find it here themselves.

Uproot - 3 mana green mana
    Sorcery - Arcane (C)
Put target land on top of its owner's library.

Fallow Earth as a common, with Arcane... not bad!

  • posted a message on Rumor Mill List
This thread was copied from the MTGnews Rumor Mill to maintain a record of those who have had dealings with the rumor community in the past. Even though some members have since disappeared, and others have changed their member names when they came to MTG Salvation, the list will remain as is. We will add to it as appropriate. The blue line of "~~~~~" indicates the point at which we moved to MTG Salvation. - rancored_elf, January 2005

The purpose of these lists is threefold:

    - to thank and recognize people who have helped us, sometimes at risk to their job or reputation
    - to allow us to have a record of people whose rumors tend to be "less than accurate"
    - to discourage people from lying outright to get attention
    - because memorizing this information is beginning to get difficult, with the sheer number of posters here in the Rumor Mill

The first list is for more serious offenders. These are people who have outright lied to the Rumor Mill, and it has been confirmed. Basically, anything they have to say is likely to be false.

The second list is for first time offenders, people who tend to post unbelievable or questionable stuff, and people who report a rumor which turns out to be false but may have been mislead by a bad source. Therefore, they may not be outright lying to us - they may just have a bad source. Another example of someone who would go on this list is a member who posts information which seems to be false, but can't be proven so until the next set comes out. At that time, if it becomes evident they were lying outright, they'll be moved to the first list. Further information submitted by these members should still be heard, but perhaps taken with a grain of salt.

Please refrain from posting in the rumor threads "This person should be put on the list!" Moderators will determine who is added to the list, not other members. This list is not meant to hurt anyone's feelings, merely to help us all sort through the recent barrage of false rumors.

If you see your name on one of these lists, and disagree with it, please PM a Rumor Mill moderator.

The third list is a list of people who have contributed something useful to the rumor mill, and have done so in a way that puts them in a class above the rest. They're the Heros of the Rumor Mill! They have credibility, integrity, and they are worthy of our trust. (Or perhaps they just have a really good source!) Note: please don't contact the moderators, saying "I said something that was true, please add me to the list!" We'll add people as we see fit - it's an honor, not an obligation.

Oh wait, here's another from the same source.... in a different message. People should learn to put everything in ONE message, you know! :p

Forked-Branch Garami - 3 mana green mana green mana
    Creature - Spirit (U)
Soulshift 4, Soulshift 4 (Whenever this card is put into a graveyard from play, you may return up to two target Spirit cards with converted mana cost of 4 or less from your graveyard to your hand.)
    4/4

    Freakin' weird, man! EEK!

From a trusted source who came with me from the old URL. Nothing too exciting but it's another card for the partial spoiler! Smile

Shimmering Glasskite - 3 mana blue mana
    Creature - Spirit (C)
    Flying
Whenever Shimmering Glasskite becomes the target of a spell or ability for the first time in a turn, counter that spell or ability.
    2/3

The card might be a boring little common, but let's celebrate having these new boards! What a site for the community! The hacks are all being done and the front page will be up soon... nothing fancy at first, of course. But what matters is we have some really solid forums to rumor around in.

    Never looking back!!! Smile

  • posted a message on [BOK] Akki Raider & Patron of the Akki
From an anonymous source via private message! Another of my trusted sources has migrated with the community!

Akki Raider - 1 mana red mana
    Creature - Goblin Warrior (U)
Whenever a land is put into a graveyard from play, Akki Raider gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
    2/1

Patron of the Akki - 4 mana red mana red mana
    Legendary Creature - Spirit (R)
Goblin offering (You may play this card at any time you could play an instant by sacrificing a Goblin and paying the difference in mana costs between this and the sacrificed Goblin. Mana costs include color.)
Whenever Patron of the Akki attacks, creatures you control get +2/0 until end of turn.
    5/5

Both very strong creatures - I'm impressed!

If you take this to other sites, especially without giving credit to MTG Salvation, may your intestines and eyes rot from your body. Just kidding! May you fall into a pit of poisoned spikes. :evil1:

  • posted a message on [BOK] Kyoki, Sanity's Eclipse
I have a request. Stop spamming up the Rumor Mill with crappy fake cards. :p No, seriously, this forum is full of junk already and we've only been here a short time! Let's keep the junk down. Make sure a thread doesn't already exist if you want to post something. And don't copy that fake crap off MTGnews - they don't have any sources anymore that I'm aware of, so anything you see there is either fake, or copied and pasted from here Grin (Moved all Fake threads , hope that helps- Belgareth) Link

Here's the card! This is from the same source as Kentaro, Terashi's Grasp, and Heed the Mists.

Kyoki's, Sanity's Eclipse - 4 mana black mana black mana
Legendary Creature - Demon Spirit (R)
Whenever you play a Spirit or Arcane spell, target opponent removes a card in his or her hand from the game.
    6/4

Big friggin' demon. :shocked1: Six mana is a little high for a discard spell, but I guess if all else fails you just start smashing away for 6. Following this guy up on the next turn with another Spirit and then an Arcane spell would be pretty devastating.

Also it's cool that they don't get to discard the cards... they're removed from the game completely. Sweet.

Somebody get that partial spoiler updated! Grin

  • posted a message on [BOK] Heed the Mists
From the same source as Kentaro and Terashi's Grasp. Please don't post this info on other forums (let them come here and get it themselves).

Heed the Mists - 3 mana blue mana blue mana
    Sorcery - Arcane (U)
Put the top card of your library into your graveyard, then draw cards equal to that card's converted mana cost.

A very interesting draw spell. It's arcane, but because it's slow (expensive and a sorcery) I don't think it will be played much, except in specialized decks with big fat creatures. You could draw 6 cards off a dragon legend... 8 off a Scornful Egotist. Grin
