I've a feeling the OP wants to spec on MODO cards and is trying to get people to panic sell so he can get in at lower price points. Hows that for conspiracy theory?
Anyone relying on a digital version of a fantasy card game to support a family needs to get the crap slapped out of them, and actually go out and do tangible work in the world.
Any woman that decides to marry and have kids with a guy whose main source of income comes from digital verision of a fantasy card game should have her head checked out.
I have looked at most of this thread and I didn't see any discussion relating to Prophet of Kruphix. I may have missed it, but if not, what do you guys think about it? Is the Prophet currently undervalued?
Prophet of Kruphix is a good EDH/Casual Card. Pick up foil copies of it next year when Theros is about to rotate.
I think that in general, taking a particular card design from one colour to two lowers its pricetag, but doesn't necessarily lower its power level in an appropriate deck. It's just got less potential decks it can fit into.
Roughly speaking.
So yeah, Reaper is probably quite potent in the decks it can play in, but probably has a price limit of 5 or 6 due to the limited number of decks that can support it.
Realistially the color constraint and being in a pre-con puts the price constraint at $3-$4.
The card has a good rate but it pigeon holes you into B/G. Cards that force you into playing 2 colors will not be as successful financialy as mono color alternatives.
Everywhere I've gone the decks are selling equally.
I don't know about the stores around you but at the other message boards I visit I only see posts about Walmarts and Targets filled with the NAYA and JUND decks but no Grixis.
Because this is not a limited release. They're going to be reprinted to meet demand. The correct play would be to flip TNN before or at GP DC when people are still scrambling for copies.
Wizards forces retailers to buy set of 5 commander decks. I don't know about your store but the Naya and Jund decks are just not selling. Why as a retailer would I keep on reording if only 2/3 of the 5 commander decks will sell? Also even if this is not a limited release do you think Wizards will still be printing these decks in Feburary or March of next year?
Flipping the cards seems terrible now as everyone is trying to do the same. As such buying and holding Mindseize sealed is the way to go.
Not wanting to discuss price losers, but Scavenging Ooze seems to be falling recently. Is there a reason now that it's been falling? It used to be $15 just a few weeks ago and has fallen close to $11.
Ooze not seeing much play in standard. However I would recommend picking this guy up at $10-$11 to prepare for Modern PTQ Season. This is the lowest he will be.
I get that feeling too. However, that means right now is a good time to start picking these up (again for like the 3rd time) as some of these can be used in modern so they are decent long term investments
I don't think so. If the demand for standard isn't enough to prop up prices, there's no way modern demand will be enough.
Also if RTR is dropping even after rotation you can imagine how hard Theros will drop. Especially when the 2nd set draft format is Theros Theros Born. I'm calling $10 thought seizes.

Desecration Demon would still be better at 2BB.
Card like Excava, Dreadbore, and Lotloth Troll suffers from the same problem.
