who needs "pluck discard" just play all the other discard. mindstab for instance, looks solidly playable. cry of catrition, ravenous rats, rise//fall if your going black/red. persecute, hyppie, mindrot. odds are they wont have much left in their hand if your playing a discard heavy deck.

this guy makes a great finisher. I dont know what more else you could want...not too high a mana cost, good power and toughness, evasion, and protection...perfect for black. Is it just me or is there already a ton of playable black stuff spoiled...heck you coudl almost even make a deck with just what we have! corpulent corpse and mindstab are both decent turn one options. Phthisis, premature burial, and strangling soot for removal. Add in Stronghold overseer to pair with Mr. Sengir. haha
or add a bit of red and you can get the flashbookfor the soot, sedge troll, ignite memories fits well too. fun! if what we have so far is any indication, then black should be pretty decent in timespiral

by the time this thing loses all its counters, if they cast remand, how many more counters are they likely to have? probably none. (discounting MUC, and UWC If they do have any more, then they obviously havnt been countering anything else you have been playing. and im sure thats why wizards snuck clockspinning into the set. for situations where your opponent is waiting to remand a suspend card. they tap out for something a turn before it will come into play, and you clockspin to make it come into play while they are tapped out.

*long well written and thought out post*

A very good post, and i think brings up excellent points. besides..what is the point in saying this card sucks or wont be played, when we know not even a quarter of what time spiral and its bonus friends will bring us. Everyone complains right off the bat, and others say wait til we see the set. and its so true here. Wizards has playtested the ENTIRE block. im sure they were like wow...all these suspend cards just keep getting remanded! they suck! we should scrap them so people dont send us death threats for trashing the new power 9!

i think suspend would work out better than split second...
they would cost it at 5 mana, no less for a split second recall. I would rather play the suspended version for U than that, even if it was at instant speed

you cant really say its worse than tidings...
if you play this on turn one, when you would play nothing else except maybe keeping spell snare mana open) then its basically like getting 3 cards for free in 5 turns. With tidings you have to not only tap out meaning you cant counter anything, you also cant play any of the new spells you just picked up. tidings is a great card, and so would be this suspend recall if printed as is.

the dream stalker is not only good for bouncing CitP cards, but also cumulative upkeep cards. phyrexian etchings for example. or any other card that doesnt have a bonus when it dies.

truth or tale--phew..glad this was actually 1U and not 3U. at least now its playable...better than telling time though..???

conflagrate--uh...what? so for 8 mana. and INSTANT speed, we get 5 damage divided any way we want, PLUS a 5/5 flying dragon...conflagrate deals 3 damage for the same amount of mana , with no body...:-/ and the flashback cost:o 2 mana plus 2 cards per damage?? am i missing something or is this the worst x damage burn spell ever.

firemaw kavu-- 2 damage when it comes into play. i know FTK was above the curve and used in every deck that had access to red..but 12 mana to make him stick?? plus the fact that the 4 damage is dealt when he leaves, it loses alot of its effectiveness of controlling what you want to kill, and when. good card for limited, but nothing more im afraid.

blazing blade askari--hmm worse that his 2 mirage counterparts.

clockspinning--kinda neat i spose. has many uses, but i dont know if they are important enough uses to warrant deck space..

    cloudchaser kestrel--unicorn is still better

corpulent corpse--lol nice name. im liking the suspend creatures.

    drifter il-dal--really good common.

dream stalker--yay! another playable illusion for the blue illusion deck:D

anythign to do with the ebay account should not be used to prove the validity of these cards. His story, which is most assuredly fake, could easily be his excuse for when someone wants to leave negative feedback. Keep in mind, he will only receive ONE negative feeback if this proves to be a hoax. Will he honestly care about having 1000 positive feedbacks, and one measly negative?? i dont think so. if you look at all the great ebay sellers with thousands upon thousands of psotive feedbacks, they ALL have some negatives. Its almost impossible to avoid, when processing so many transactions. It doesnt mean the seller is bad, or not to be trusted. Just because this seller gets ONE negative feedback, customers are not going to stop buying sports memoribilia cards from him...that seems to be mostly what he sells by the way. He has no magic cards listed recently on any of his veiwable auctions, as far as i can see. if these cards are real, it is because they are well designed, near flawless art and many very plausible cards and reprints. They should NOT be said to be proven real because a seller who doesnt even sell one auction a day, would never ever tarnish his account with one negative feedback by trying to trick MTG Salvation

while very very highly unlikely, it would be rather funny, if the owner of the ebay account was none other than..tidwell i think his name was? the power 9 fiasco. and this time he chose a different way to show off his masterpiece, since posting it on MTGS like last time would result in an IP check.

i dunno. it looks pretty much like geddon to me..the evil eye appeared to have a bit of different coloring, but i think its pretty obvious its the eye. so the same could be true for geddon.
PLUS geddon fits with wizards desciption of the set. regarding OMG I CANT BELIEVE THEY DID THAT!!!

The last card in the "reprint' pile looks like preacher. After the evangelize column, this might be the 2nd card he was hinting at.

    MC

theres no way that last card in the pile is preacher. comparing the 2 at equal size clearly shows its something else...time to gatherer search all white cards pre-mirrodin :p or wait for R_E as he seems to be doing quite well with them so far

well...if that poster is real, i wouldnt say it "looks a little closer"...this would be a definate comfirmation. So now the only question is, is it real?

I tried Delirium Skeins to help out with the discarding. It makes a great turn 3 play, if you have a couple knights in your hand, and of course wrecks the opponents hand.
