20Bux: here's a theory you might like. Your wife was having an affair (with, I don't know...the Hitman. Or maybe someone else) The Don found out about it, and he was going to tell you, so they killed him (hiring, I don't know...the Hitman to do it.)

    How's that for flavor?

Also, is it possible that Azrael is Mafia and picked one Mafioso and one Townie to off, thus killing a Townie and solidifying the Town's trust in him? I definately wouldn't put it past him, but in a game this small, doing it this early would be a major hit to the Mafia, because the chance that an SK or lynch will get blindly lucky is too great. But maybe he just wants us to think it would be suicidal. Hmmm...

I considered this also, but I keep coming back to the fact that to give two instant daykills to the Traitor Mafia, on top of the nightly kill, would be absolutely broken. I can't believe that reed (or Sparrow) would do something like that. Assuming there are three Traitors, they start off only needing to kill/lynch 6 of us to win the game. Two daykills brings it down to four. One bad town lynch, one night, and suddenly we have just about lost.

Even if Sparrow did go insane and give them this ability, by killing even one Traitor (if only to divert suspicion) now the remaining two traitors need to kill/lynch eight of us to win. That's not what I call good strategy. Especially when it looked like musashi was getting lynched anyway, and when he came up innocent, Titus would be the next easy target. No, Azrael would never have done what he did if he were a Traitor, it just makes no sense.

By the same token, Titus wouldn't have been calling for musashi's lynch first if he were a Traitor, it's bad strategy.

    1. I notice that titus hasn't come out and produced a list of townspeople for us (not unreasonable, given that we have some players who have yet to roleclaim). This means that it's possible that titus has no such list, and has been 'confirming' players just to avoid suspicion.

    2. titus has yet to provide a role name for himself.

Well you can scratch #1 off this list. Titus pretty clearly knows the roles in this game. He told me my role (check post#65). That's why I immediately voted for musashi despite suggesting we slow down 1 post earlier. He also threw out many other rolenames before they were claimed. He's got the list. He also claims to have a ban which prevents him from simply reading it, which could be true.

billking: Investigate me all you want, I've nothing to hide. I have trouble understanding why you still think lynching Titus is the best move here. (esp. since you basically admitted you are holding back yourself) Also, if you die of poisoning it definately wasn't me. In fact, the chances of you dying of poisoning are, shall we say, dramatically less right now then they were before (Titus cleared you, remember).

The best reasoning I've heard thus far is coming from Azrael. And, though I hate to be a follower:

    Vote: kingcobweb

Advocated quick lynch of musashi (calling him a lurker after less than a day); defended Moxen, repeatedly. Heck, he's the freaking Hitman.

There's nothing wrong with my logic. If you want to "lynch all liars" fine. But you might want to start with yourself. I very much doubt your ability claim. Or at least, you're definately leaving something out.

Titus said he was guessing it was an inside (family) job. i.e. Wife, Son, Daughter-in-law. He was wrong about the wife, but right about the daughter-in-law. We still don't know about the son, except that H-Guy pinged him and said he was loyalist.

Consider this, however. The Daughter-in-law had no "ability" outside of immunity when she was the one making the kill. She had no "day action." Or night inspection, or anything else. 20Bux has said that he has no abilities also--at least for now. That make's him even more suspicious.

On the other hand, I checked his posts and he was all over Moxen, which suggests innocence. So, I guess what I'm saying is I'm not sure. But Titus is probably not scum. He's drawing way too much attention to himself.

Well, that was interesting. I must say, this doesn't bode well for the Don's son, does it?

Then again, considering he's already dead....Maybe he didn't think it was worth the effort.

While we're waiting around here, I think I will:

Action: Go to Library. Research Secret Societies.

Maybe I can get some idea of what we are up against.

i eagerly await aurorasparrow's update. just in case anyone's wondering why i haven't posted since, i'm waiting for an id on the corpses first

addendum: i'm very suspicious of roleclaims. the traitor's temptation to lie is overwhelming, and believing them at face value isn't the best idea. azrael is the enteretainer tho. i think that much was obvious.
One wonders a little, however, why an "entertainer" has two vigilante kills. I mean, I'm a Chef. I serve dishes. Why does the entertainer kill people?

On the other hand, giving the Traitors two extra day kills in a 12 person game is ridiculously overpowered, so I'm inclined to believe.

billking: if that's your ability, why did you suspect Azrael? Finding out he's the entertainer is hardly incriminating.

I agree - I'm well aware of this possibility, so I would take my identification of 20Bux's FACTION with a grain of salt. He IS the Don's Son, though.

Agreed. I have no idea who to vote for anymore. So I will also:

    Unvote: Dead Person

titus said something earlier about identifying all the family members. I chose to inspect 20Bux, last night, and it revealed that his role title was the Don's Son, and that he was a Loyalist.

Of course, going back to something else I said earlier. There is probably a "Godfather" type in this game who is going to ping as a Loyalist. Not saying we should be voting for him at all. Just saying 20Bux isn't totally clear here. It make a certain amont of sense for the Don's son to be the "Godfather" type--you know, trying to take over the business....

Yes, but if what titus claims is true, then we can tell who's lying.
No we can't. Unless your role is "the traitor." Assuming everyone gives their real role name. No one has to lie.

Frankly this might end up putting us back at square one again. Like I said earlier, everyone has got a role. Everyone probably has some kind of ability. Chances we can tell who's Traitor/Loyalist based just on role name = small.

    my first vote wasn't random...

traitors = wife and son (family) right? if not...

all votings based on who is scum and who isn't are assumptions.

So, you get the names of the roles, and you are making educated guesses about who is scum based on the names? That's...pretty risky if you ask me.
