    2 points:

    (1) There is more to this story than we are hearing. Why is this guy signing a paper "acknowledging" that he is the biological father anyway? Exactly what purpose does that serve except to tie him to these children?

    (2) The Lesbian couple split. If no one supports them, the children are the ones who suffer. So the Courts are looking for the best option to help the children. Who else should be legally obligated for helping to bring these children into the world? You can't legally obligate a "partner" (whether or not you agree with that is a different discussion. You just can't right now--without a lot of paperwork, I suppose).

That's the way the courts look at it anyway. And I really expect there's more to the story.

    Nice claim bat. Very subtle.

Too subtle for me apparantly. Frown If there actually was a hint in there. Bat., then I'm not going to bother responding to it, as I don't know if you wrote what you wrote because you believed it, or because you were just filling up space (I've done that with "subliminal" claims" before.)

I also dislike the "no reveal" aspect of this game. I know it cuts both ways, but I'd probably rather just know now what we have lost as a town. It helps us figure things out later, and reduces mafia ability to false-claim.

I'm not sure there's a point in speculating what "group" did what kill yet. I'll assume mafia and SK until given reason not to.

So I can see 2 possibilities for what's going on with Puzzle's Ikerr vote (well, 3 actually-the third one being that he's simply mafia trying to screw with us). Neither on them, in my opinion, is a good reason to vote. To the people following, please remember: Blind Faith in Puzzle = Bad.

I just want to add that I am not ruling out the possibility of Ikker being scum or neutral (this seems most likely if he is non-town) or even mafia for that matter. I am just suggesting that the chance of him being scum are significantly lower than anyone elses.

    On what basis?

It was suggested that because Ikerr was a late addition to the game (Armlx missed his sign up post and "added" him in as the 21st player after other roles went out) he probably wasn't mafia.

Right now, I'm more interested in CropCircles "non-random, non-explained" vote on MoT. That's one of those things that makes you raise your eyebrow. And yet, he abandoned the vote fairly quickly to follow Puzzle.

I also think Chamber was a bit too quick to propose his "theory of town role scumminess". Putting aside the validity of the theory for the moment (I'm not rendering an opinion one way or the other), can you see that there was no benefit to the town in stating it? That's the kind of theory you formulate, and then hold in reserve until someone claims and their claim is "non-scummy." You might then propose it to see if the claim stands up to it.

I recognize that from Azrael's comments (and my own) an intelligent mafia might have suspected something strange was going on, but I doubt they would have been as confident about claiming a scummy sounding role as they are now, with at least three other people "confirming" it.

On the other hand, you could have been trying to lay the groundwork for your own "scummy" claim, while at the same time casting the net to see if any more townies would jump into it (making your claim even safer by default, as well as the claims of other mafia). Or, if the mafia had "non-scummy" names, it might have been a warning to them as well.

That's just an idle theory too at this point. More thoughts later.

Pffft. Axel always draws as much attention to himself as possible when he gets a power role. It's his trademark. He enjoys being violated that way.

Don't ask me how I know that. Sneaky

    I do NOT! Sneaky

I must say, you seem to be in a good mood this game.

It would be the height of irony if the mafia in this game all had non-scummy sounding roles, and based on this little discussion we are having, decided that they all needed to come up with scummy roles for false-claims.

That said, I am not at all convinced that the entire town has "double-edged" or scummish sounding roles. Don't assume you know what I meant by my own little off-hand remark. I'm certainly not assuming anything about Azrael based on his.

He is perfectly capable of just throwing that out there as scum.

Hmm. I hope to God I don't have to claim in this game.

    WTF? Eyebrow

Vote Azrael, for hinting at role information.

    You too, eh?

Very interesting variety of roles there, CP.

So, exactly when would I eat a person as opposed to protecting them? On a roll of 4?

LJustus's game may be extremely short if it's only 7 people and he's starting at night. If the mafia kill one Night 1 and the town miss one lynch, it's basically over. I think with 7 you have to start in day (assuming 2 mafia, though I don't know that's what it is).
