what is everyone siding out against vengeant lark?
edit---
okay so I'm in a 4 man running the list on the front page (different sideboard, different manabase, missing 1 cryptic)
in place of the cryptic (which I'll be getting friday after I get paid, or tonight if I keep winning 4 mans) I have a hurricane, and I have another in the sideboard.
first match was against vengeant lark (I ended up siding in a lot of stuff, but felt bad about taking some things out)
game 1 I played first and I crushed him. I landed a turn 2 war monk, and then just played draw go countering his stuff and playing cliques at the end of his turn.
game 2 I had manabase problems. the whole game went with me getting a forest, a treetop village, and a yavimaya coast
game 3 we both went into topdeck mode until I pulled a tidings and won with a shorecrasher.
then I played faeries and had manabase problems both games.
hurricane never showed up, but I was hoping for it game 2 against fae
I think cutting the rafiq is justified by adding draw. Before the deck used 4 rafiqs as a means of getting 1 as easily as possible. The new list relies on additional draws for the same affect.
by printing good cards everyone wants as rares it means more packs have to be opened for the demand to be met. Why would wotc want to lower pack sales by printing the chase cards at lower rarity? They got a good thing going
shorecrasher mimics are almost needed to beat fae. They come out fast enough that they don't get countered, they hit hard, and they can actually get past bb tokens very easily... 3 drops cannot do that as well.
2 drops aren't useless with birds (or hierarch) if you are running any cipt lands
running 8 mana critters and 3 drops makes your game against rdw worse I'm pretty sure as fanatics become time walks. Also, imagine sideboarding against rdw, you want to throw in bft but what do you side out? If you don't side out mana critters it means you are sitting on 12 1 drops that you will hate to see late game. In addition to that, playing BFT in the first 2 turns kills tempo if you don't have any 2 drops, but playing it turn ruins it's effectiveness so much
Fae is even running peppersmoke now so they would have a way to deal with your first turn drop.
playing 8 mana critters and a bunch of 3 drops would allow for some big 2nd turn plays, but if anything touches your birds or hierarch,. you are screwed.
rafiq, I think 6 would be good. I pretty much want one in my hand first turn every game even if I plan on playing mimic 2nd turn (which I usually would do over rhox war monk)
Any know anything in Minnesota?
Around Hutchinson would be the best, but if there is anything near eden prairie or st. cloud, I'd take it. (I don't want to go too far into the cities)
this is fantastic!
I don't mind the echo at all. rapping bird is alright too...
I'm excited to see the rest (I'll give you more feedback after I show my 5 year old nephew)

also, have you had to play much rdw with your new build yet? How did those go?
I don't think they changed it in a bad way though.
Tomorrow I think I'm doing a daily unless I decide to stay in and do it tonight.

I didn't notice that at first... then I went back and looked again and now I feel like I'm falling to my right.
Now, I have 2 decks that I keep in my car. They are only there in case I happen to run into people playing mtg at lans or such.
