I don't know guys; there are two types of Ravager out there; vial and mox. This may very well tackle vial (after an aptly timed turn 3 WOFG, this on T5), but it won't hurt Mox that much. Mox is faster and meaner and more inconsistent, if it's winning, Wrathing will be too late, if it's losing, it's alreayd lost.
"anti-tooth" this, "anti-tooth" that... bah, humbug. On turn 6 you're probably already dead. If not; I suppose tooth will need to go back to G/U, in which case this thing's just going to be mana leaked; or worse still... condescended for 1.

Wow, attacking my credibility because I post cards I was given by others. And to think, I thought this WASN'T mtgnews.com.
All I can say is I hope these cards are real; they look like they could be and would mean Kamagawa's not the next Mercadian Masques block. But if the best thing to come out of BOK is frostling, then it is another MM.
Just for the record, these cards and the similar cards that appeared on 'News before them were never confirmed to be fake. They were just very highly doubted, and the doubt of the mods (especially r_e) were what made it seem as if they were actually confirmed to be fake.
Not that this makes these true, as there are still many problems with them, but I seemed to be the only one over at 'News that even believed these cards to possibly be real.
I think they're viable cards, and far too average and underpowered to be fakes.

Getting the artists and card numbers would definatly boost your credibility, you must be able to, considering all the other info you can get.
Like I said, I know a guy who saw the cards. He says he's pretty sure the name of the red one if the "Kami of Searing Grip", but who really knows. I know that, in the past, when I'm looking at new cards, I don't look at the card numbers or the artist first, if at all.
It's flavorful and useful. I mean, sure, it's no Regrowth, but it's very useful in the Soilshaper deck, as they tend to lose lands and like arcane spells... kind of wish it wasn't a common though. just another way to get back glacial rays...
I mean, Wizards would not name a spell "Hana Seed."
In a series with Boseqigu, who shelters all; you seriously doubt anything anymore? I'm halfway expecting "The thing from the briney deep" in the next block...
I want to say I know people, but I don't. I know people who know people.
And yes, I emailed my souce about Kami of Searing Grip. He says it's not another Brush-style cycle; he just mistyped it. He says the art on it shows a giant flaming hand-monster with a giant eye in it's palm.
The art on the other one features 3 red-looking samurai holding swords that are turning to dust in thier hands.

yes these are fake. They were from a poster who had a name similar to another poster who has posted fake-proven cards before. He posted 45 cards saying he opened 3 packs of Bok but there were numerous errors in his posting. For instance, he had two green cards, one starting with a W with card number 135, and one starting with an M with card number 150 (numbers and letters not exact, but it was this sort of situation.) Now, i believe that M does infact come before W in the alphabet. There were also several hundred flavor and templating errors, as well as an abundace of white cards with almost no blue. I can tell you from my experiance on MTG-News that these cards, along with the other 43 are fake.

My thoughts: Where as I highly doubt these simply because it's two packs from a small expansion with out duplicates; I'm reminded that Wizards increased the size of the small expansions to avoid just that problem (among other things).
* Having THREE "brush" kami cards between two packs seem odd, but if the pack orders are any judge, I wouldn't be surprised to see the two commons so close to each other; in draft you draft the 2/2 for 1, then hopefully the searcher will come back to you. Of course you draft the 3/2 for 3 uncommon first.
* So Kamagawa will have a ***. Boo.
* Pain Kami's got his blue counterpart, and I think he's limited gold and constructed crap.
* Shadow Cast is Pull Under done RIGHT. Finally I don't need to worry about that extra 1 toughness on the white myojin, AND it's a 5cc way of removing Darksteel Collosus. yeah!
*Shallow Understanding will be a sideboard card perhaps, but it's clear that this guy didn't "short blue" like Cheesepoptart says.
* Honored Wall will see a lot of limited play, it's idea for Dampenthought.dec, and a solid way of blocking WWs andearly creatures.
* Ancient Runes is an affinity backlash. It's an Imi Statue that actually DOES something in limited. Albeit's a bad shrine of infintie rage most of the time in limited, it will shake up Standard.
* Ancient Ritual ROCKS! Oh, wait, it's lightning bolting one of my creatures and one of theirs... maybe not. Though there are plenty of 4 toughness guys I'd run in R/G, so this is just another thing to splice glacial rays off of in Standard. Also, any removal is good removal, and it's instant speed, so you can trade one of your blockers for one of their creatures; yes?
* Ninja of the Deep Currents is a lock if you make it unblockable. yes...
* Mole Speaker may very well have a place in the Soilshaper deck!
* Kami of Betrayal seems like a solid black weenie, while Kami of decay seems like a great creature for black control! third turn: Him... 4th turn: Attack for 4! Rock! What are the chances you'll overturn another one of the four of him? Howabout if you have a Divining top? Oh, yeah, 2 card combo!
* Nurishing Kami: Look, it's Burr Grafter that sucks worse.
* Wall of the Shallow Mind- I love this in limited! Have 0 cards in hand, then draw a card whenever it blocks!
I think these were posted by someone on news that had already been proved to have posted fake cards. His story was that he had somehow opened two BoK boosters.
Of course, it is a little dificult now to check that now. :evil2:
I don't think so; there wasn't anybody over there who really had the authority to say "hey, I know this is fake"... R_E was gone and I'm sure it was the blind leading the blind.
I'm inclided to say that these are well designed fakes if they are fakes; the first guy may very well be a bomb in limited; he's recurrable shocks that can be killed by a Frostling. The second guy seems too good for his weight class, but if you will, he's No Aurok Steelshaper, yet he's incredibly good with the high equip costing equipment we've seen recently. If he was a legend, or this was the equipment block, he's be rare; but it's not, so he's not. Wizards has been trying to "make up" for the speed of Ravager and the splash damage to equipment, and this is one fine way of doing so. I hope it's true.

The first seems like a bad savana lions/shock to me. You play it first turn, and if your opponent lays a land, you've lost a card and they've lost two life. La di da. I coulda shocked them if I wanted to. He seems like a good way to land screw yourself; whenever you drop a land, he goes away, preventing you from drawing another land. Even if you needed a blocker, he's no good because your opponent can just play a land to remove him.
The second guy seems like he should be rare; but 4 of him goes in my SamuraiEquipment T2 weenie deck. Suddenyl the Kaldra Pieces are a lot more playable, no? T1: Forest, BOP. T2: Plains, him, equipment fetch white card for W. T3: Forest, Shield on him. Turn 4: Another piece on him, Turn 5: final piece of Kaldra on him.

As long as Prison of Eiganjo is tapped, spirits can't attack you unless their controller pays 1 for each spirit attacking you.

During your upkeep, put the top card of your library into your graveyard. If it was a creature card, each player sacrifices a creature.
