This may be from Firefly, a science fiction show, and it may be about Serenity, a space ship, but it is very true for real life and just about every Local Gaming Store:
BTW, Firefly is epic. Watch it, you will love it, or you have no soul.
So with cards like Vedalken Mastermind + Food Chain + Pentavus + Doubling Season + a way to generate mana like Phyrexian Altar to use pentavus' abilities (Food Chain applys to casting creatures only) you can really generate infinite creatures + infinite mana. Plus you can easily cast Emrakul or some other big ticket creature from your hand into the field.
I would seriously think about turning this into a food chain deck, for a number of reasons, 1 relyability. Food Chain Elves has won me more games than any other deck that I have, 2 mana: FCE can generate me as much mana as I can handle. 3: My food chain deck can also draw a ton of cards at once Regal Force so if I didn't find a card that I needed to ensure victory I might be able to draw it out:
Me and my friends bought 2 FTV Relics and 4 booster boxes of Zen. We didn't even get a penny off.
Me and my friends have spent well more than $2500 every year for about 4 years there and to not even get anything off that purchase was a little annoying.
Even when they didn't ahve enought people for a FNm (we don't play) I fronted the rest of the cash on multiple times so people could still have a draft. This is the one reason why I don't go there anymore.
This deck is really fast and not that expensive. If you can get gaea's herald (I had the one enchantment that can come into play when you start the game if it's in your hand, forgot the name) you are doing good.
The killer combo in this deck is getting Myojin of Night's Reach out. You remove the counter and all opponents discard their hands. once that's done you play your maga with as much mana as you want. When Maga comes out (XBBB) it comes iton play with X +1/+1 counters on it. When it comes into play, target player loses life equal to the number of +1/+1 counters on it.
With my current setup I have a 10-25% of a kill on turn 3, and a 60-80% chance of a turn 4 kill.
This is by far my most reliable deck that I have ever used!
True, but let's say I there are 2 GB in my graveyard (let's say I had one in my hand and I played it and 4 turn later one comes from the library and gets stifled) I can regroth one back into my hand and if i have the mana play it and put the other Gb back into my library.
Noxious Revival does look like a great card for what I need, plus I don't have to pay the mana either!
I don't understand the "had to" part. Regrowth is good at 1G, but not at 2GG. Is it essential to the deck?
Speaking of which... If you're interested in a combo version of this deck, check out ingenious deck known as The Four Horsemen.
Regrowth is a great card for returning that are in your Gy back into your hand. Let's say your Mesmeric Orb, or whatever. Or it's good for returning a Gaea's Blessing Back into your hand in case someone plays Stifle which I've run into a lot at my local area. You could have 4 Gaea's Blessing (I currently own 6) but any more than 2 is not only annoying to your opponent but also to yourself.
I'll have to look into the Four Horseman, thanks for the tip!
Frozen Aether
You're neither locking people down nor concerned about tempo or blockers, right? So what does this do for you that's worth spending a turn on?
Ancestral Memories
Spending an entire turn on some filtering and "hand size +1" seems like a good way to fall behind.
Paradox Haze
For double Honden action? Just run an extra Honden if they're that important.
I have 2 regroth somewhere but I can't find them right now so i had to use Elven Cache instead.
Frozen Aether is there until I get Orb of dreams, because if my opponent's permenants come into play tapped then that's an extra untap for mesmeric Orb. Paradox haze is there for the honden but since they are legendary you must either have mirror gallery and more hondens or just run paradox haze. Ancestral memories is a great card (I like Bamboozle more) because if Gaea's Blessing is in those cards you send her into the GY and it triggers. Sage Owl is there until I get Sensei's Diving Tops back, but even then i might want to keep 2 owls so I can see if in the top 4 cards a Gaea's Blessing so I can hopefully have it be milled.
Could you tell how you used to play it? looks like a control thing but im not sure..
It was a variation of the deck I have now. Basically I would stall and make their stuff come into tapped so when mesmeric orb is out they have to untap and mill. I also had 4 creatures (forgot the name right now) then when they go from Library to GY come into play.
This deck is my FAVORITE!!!! I don't remember what my old decklist was but i figured that if I post it here I might get some help with making it much better:
@Cr33p!nD347H - That would always happen to me on my Vista computer when I was in a Wolfenstein Enemy Territory Clan, it was really annoying when all of a sudden it wouldn't work for some strange reason. Then one day I maximized it (By mistake) instead of clicking on the x button (I was going to restart the program) All of a sudden they heard me talked, and after some experiments I figured out what the problem was!
The land choices are not that good, I understand the cycling part, but I think that this deck would run soo much better with blue in it for either a couple of counters, and or Paradox Haze
I use that card in my deck all the time, I also run 2 Coat of Arms
You have this deck listed under Casual Legacy, yet you have a Skullclamp in it! If you want to run legacy take it out since it's a banned card.
Let's say you sac a saproling for B which grave pact then triggers, making them sac a creature. Then you can use the B to sac another saproling and destroy target nonblack creature, then Grave Pact Triggers yet again.
Sac the Trator to Altar for B, grave pact does it's thing, sac a saproling token to Altar for yet another B, use one of your 2 B to bring Nether back into play, Genesis chamber triggers and oh look a nifty little combo where you can wipe their board clean.
^^
Might have to do that with my build, :P.
So those are just a few ideas, good luck!
Oh and just an FYI if you want to draw lots of cards and still take them out, try this combo:
Regal Force (Will only draw cards depending on how many GREEN creatures you control at the time of it entering the battlefield!)
watchwolf seems somewhat random. why not Qasali Pridemage instead?
Qasali Pridemage would be a much better card choice, I just added the watchwolfs because I had them and figured that they would be somewhat decent as a creature that (depending on my opening hand) I might be able to cast relatively early.
Rest for the weary is interesting, though I still think that life burst is stronger if you want that. Beyond the first, it most certainly is stronger.
I understand, however it I'm going against a deck that takes the GY out of the picture then life burst would be a worse choice, however I could have 2 of each, they are both incredibly great for this deck!
dream halls + conflux= good game (go get pact of negation, false cure, beacon of immortality, hide//seek, hide//seek) play lim-duls vault for a sure thing, also show and tell back up never hurts.
Those are really nice cards, but I'm gonna stick with my WBG version. Don't want to start adding other colors at this point in time.
Your quote is from the movie Serenity!
Hoodwink + Boomerang + Rescue
This card is probably the best bet! (I LOVE THIS SO MUCH WITH STASIS BUT YOU CAN USE IT WITH ANY PERMANENT!):
Vedalken Mastermind
And since he's using green he could add Food Chain + Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
So with cards like Vedalken Mastermind + Food Chain + Pentavus + Doubling Season + a way to generate mana like Phyrexian Altar to use pentavus' abilities (Food Chain applys to casting creatures only) you can really generate infinite creatures + infinite mana. It's worth a look, with your token combo in a Food Chain deck, your possibilities are endless!
Me and my friends bought 2 FTV Relics and 4 booster boxes of Zen. We didn't even get a penny off.

I went digging through a box of MTG cards in storage and I found some new cards:
4 Plains
5 Island
5 Forrest
4 Tropical Island
1 Seaside Citadel

4 Wrath of God
2 Island Sanctuary

4 Ponder
4 Counterspell

2 Dreamborn Muse
Green:
2 Gaea's Blessing
1 Azusa, Lost but Seeking

YAY For the 4 Force of Wills and the 3 more Tropical Islands!

2 Gaea's Herald
4 Food Chain
4 Fierce Empath
4 Sylvan messenger
4 Deranged Hermit
4 Regal Force
1 Myojin of Night's Reach
2 maga, Traitor to Mortals
16 Forest
The killer combo in this deck is getting Myojin of Night's Reach out. You remove the counter and all opponents discard their hands. once that's done you play your maga with as much mana as you want. This is by far my most reliable deck that I have ever used!
Even if you don't want to copy my deck fully, you should use the Deranged Hermit + Regal Force + Myojin of Night's Reach + Maga, Traitor to Mortals
here is also the primer that I made a hile back, please check it out:

Question though Would paradox Haze be a good addition just for the purpose of Dreamborn Muse?
I have 2 regroth somewhere but I can't find them right now so i had to use Elven Cache instead.

Oh BTW I just built this today!
Lands:
4 Mishra's Factory
4 Plains
5 Island
5 Forrest
1 Seaside Citadel
1 Tropical Island

You'll get more help there, especially since there's many types of Pox like Crucible and Contamination.
4 Thallid
4 Utopia mycon
4 sporesower thallid
3 deathspore thallid
3 sporoloth ancient
2 Psychotrope Thallid
3 Thelon of havenwood
1 Vhati il-Dal
2 vitaspore thallid
2 cover of darkness
2 Krosan Grip
1 Skullclamp
3 Dash hopes
Land 22
1 Barren moor
2 Tranquil Thicket
1 Golgari Rot Farm
10 Forest
9 swamp
2 steely resolve
3 maelstrom pulse
4 savage thallid
2 Psychotrope Thallid
4 Contagion clasp
Paradox Haze
I use that card in my deck all the time, I also run 2 Coat of Arms
You have this deck listed under Casual Legacy, yet you have a Skullclamp in it! If you want to run legacy take it out since it's a banned card.
You should also get in your deck 1-2 Doubling Season
I would take out the Grave Pacts, the Krosan Grip, and Dash Hopes, and replace them for Counterspell/Mana Leak/Cancel
And naturalize
I would rather save the extra mana and not have split second
Now, if you want to keep the Grave pact, then consider these cards:
Attrition
Phyrexian Altar
Both of these cards are great!
Let's say you sac a saproling for B which grave pact then triggers, making them sac a creature. Then you can use the B to sac another saproling and destroy target nonblack creature, then Grave Pact Triggers yet again.
The more I think about it, I like that coupled with Nether Traitor and Genesis Chamber
Maga, Traitor to Mortals
and if you left yourself with some extra U around you can use a counterspell or 2 if your need to when the card comes out.
Qasali Pridemage would be a much better card choice, I just added the watchwolfs because I had them and figured that they would be somewhat decent as a creature that (depending on my opening hand) I might be able to cast relatively early.

I agree with these following choices:
I agree that I should put 2 in here as a stalling helper.
Yes but it's soo funny!!!!!
Those are really nice cards, but I'm gonna stick with my WBG version. Don't want to start adding other colors at this point in time.
