I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Soltari Guerrillas yet. They seem to be pretty effective at sniping annoying utility creatures. Also, they can kill even bigger creatures if J.K. is on the battlefield with Metalcraft.
I really like your deck and I'm curious to see how well it plays. I think I might download it so I can try it out on MWS. Anyway, some suggestions:
Have you considered running Stranglehold, the new and improved version of Mindlock Orb?
Replacing Everflowing Chalice with Mana Vault sounds like a good idea too, although I've grown to appreciate Mana Crypt slightly more than the Vault. It does 3 damage to you every other turn or so but your deck should be able to handle that.
What other pyretic ritual/geosurge type ramp is there?
Also what are great red claws of the valakut/shivs embrace type auras?
I'm making an extremely budget Godo deck and I want to ramp him out fast, and use good equipment like stratascythe and auras like the two mentioned before.
Thanks!
Your best bet is probably to use lots of artifact mana cards. Check out this thread.
So, it turns out that she is a 4/4, which is about what I expected for a 5CC flying creature with another ability. I don't know how anyone would have thought she could be a 7/3 or something ridiculous like that. With that said, I think she would be a pretty nice general.
My first thought when I saw Jor Kadeen, The Prevailer spoiled was that he would make a pretty bad-ass general in EDH. I had been thinking about building a Boros deck-list for a while but all of the available generals (other than Brion Stoutarm) seemed kind of meh. Anyway, this list is partly inspired by the only other list that presently exists in the commander database. Of course, my version is obviously meant to be a 1 vs. 1 deck.
The goal of this deck should be pretty apparent. Ramp with artifact mana and get Jor Kadeen on the battlefield with metalcraft activated as quickly as possible. Over 1/3 of the deck is artifacts (34 total), so it's pretty easy to attain metalcraft by turn 3 or 4 at the latest. This deck can rack up a lot of damage very quickly but it definitely has some weaknesses (mainly artifact sweepers). I will probably add some more explanation to this post and edit the deck list sometime in the future. In the meantime, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm relatively new to this format, so please be gentle.
Oh, the classic "it dies to spot removal" argument. I guess all of the expensive, fat creatures that have an immediate impact on the board should be indestructible or have shroud.
Today I learned that females can make you paranoid by posting seemingly random colors as status updates on Facebook. Of course, a quick Google search turned up the reason for it.
Bra color. For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I guess.
I've actually discovered a lot of new board games this year. Some of my favorites are Agricola, Power Grid, and Puerto Rico. If you're looking for more board game discussion in general, you might want to check out Board Game Geek.
As an Eagles fan, I'm pretty happy to see that they signed Jeff Garcia again. It should be interesting to see how long they keep Kolb in the game if he actually starts next week. The pessimist in me thinks that Reid will allow the team to fall behind by 14 points or more before handing the game over to Garcia.
This thread caught my interest because I am in quite a unique situation myself. I recently started hanging out with a girl I've known through work for about 4 or 5 years now. She is bisexual and was with her last girlfriend for over 6 years. Although she's not actually "in a relationship" with her anymore, they still see each other every day because they work together at her other job. After we started spending time together outside of work, the intimacy between us escalated pretty quickly and we ended up having sex. I really like this girl and care a lot about her but she doesn't want the "rules" of a serious relationship to be in place, especially since she just started grad school (not to mention the ex-girlfriend still being in the picture). I would prefer a real relationship over casual sex, however I think I'm ok with the way things are for now. The funny thing is that the situation would bother me a hell of a lot more if the ex was a guy and not a chick (in case anyone couldn't figure it out, I'm a dude).
Pandora and last.fm are your friends. Just remember that.

I second this. Actually, I learned it the hard way when my HP Pavilion laptop died on me. Whatever you do, avoid HP at all costs. [/rant]
Ooooh, that's pretty darn nifty.
Awesome instrumental post-rock.
