If you think the whole book's about racism, you've missed the mark so completely that if you'd been aiming at an apple across the room, you'd score a bullseye on Great Cthulhu.

Sorry. I felt an urge to use an evil elder god in a random simile. It shouldn't happen again.

I never said anything about racism being the point of the book, I just said that it was very dissapointing on how much praise it got from other people as really putting in people's hearts the racism and alienation at the time down south.

    I CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Frown

I hung out and watched football and movies and played pool and now I go sleep.

We need one more person...hmmm...can I force Yalta into makin an account here Grin

Yalta has an account, but he's refusing to join only under the circumstances that he's becoming a mod on MTGNEWS, so he wants to have a GOOD REPUTATION.

Because salvation really amtters to news.

    I know, it's stupid.

There are news stations from everywhere all across the school today. I got 2 reporters to chase me only to find that I wouldn't say anything.

    Dominated.

Also, though (forgot to mention this) our teacher grades only on tests and quizzes and supposedly his tests and quizes are HARDER than the AP exam.

For calc, we're graded on three tests per quarter and one homework check; so that's a total of 400 points per quarter.

    So far, I'm 175/200.

AP Calc our school doesn't weight AP classes. However, our teacher does (75% is the bottom of the A's) so its all good.

WHAT?! In some of my classes, we're doing college work with a hardened grading scale (92-84-76-68), so that makes everyone's job harder.

This year, I have four AP courses, including:
    -AP Psychology
    -AP Calculus AB
    -AP US History
    -AP Language and Composition

THey're all pretty hard. I can only maintain B's in each class.

Cody: Hmm, yes, probably my fault. Hopefully we'll find something to talk about, or have a senseless group conversation. I remember we used to have some good SU and Friends chats, before I tried to organize them.

Let's organize one when everyone else is on. Whoever sees at least these four people online needs to create a Chat Room on AIM:

    -carpo
    -JT
    -Yaniv
    -me

If I do, I will create a chat room, also. But I don't have any buddy alerts on when people come online.

    Hello losers.

I see the other thread and my immature cynical comment got deleted, so I'm having to post it again. Frown

How is everyone? We should talk more (err, start talking) on AIM, JT and Cody. I also just made a sappy livejournal update. I'm still in a sappy mood. Can you tell?

Rob, are you JTI? Ha ha. It would make me laugh, you seem to have matured. Though I liked the cynicism better.

    carpo!

I've tried talking to you on AIM but many of the times it never gets past a "hi? what's up. nothing much, you?" before it dies; so maybe I assumed I was being annoying and overbearing - so I stopped. If you want more AIM talk, my AIM IS unsanitary999.

[[[whatever, i'm not going to argue your silly little warning. just realize that there's no way I think of him any better just because the League of Nations yelled at me]]]

I'm sorry, but I won't put up with this ****. Bel is a good friend and wonderful administrator, and if I have to hear one more derogatory comment about him, especially in this thread, I'm not going to hesitate warning anyone. I've tried being lenient because I understand that not all of you are going to like him - however that doesn't give anyone the right to call his mum a tart. Mad

I disagree. If I don't like someone, it shouldn't be bottled up.

He's a horrible administrator and an ignorant person.

It's my opinion. Whether you like it or not,

    is up to you,

but if you're going to be tyrannical,

then you're no better than that 'tard.

    NP: Interpol - PDA

I'm not asking you to respect him - that's your own agenda. However, flaming is against the rules, and attacks on his mother and calling him a "tard" falls under the category of flaming. BTW - does enforcing site policy really make one tyrannical? rollout

    Flame Warning.

And oh, so much drama. Glad to think about how i've put my days of getting wrapped up in stupid online drama behind me.

Seriously, though, it seems some of you guys are getting a bit worked up about things. Chill. Trust me, it's not worth it getting upset about this stuff.

    hehehehe

Only once in my entire times at news or salvation did I ever get upset - and that was right away when people at SU turned into SEALAB. I've always been trying to provoke people to get P.O'd, which works at making entertaining internet drama fights. Tis fun. Smile

Anyways, I'm glad you're making music - at least one hopefully good music fan here. Sum up a couple bands you like, Rob...? To compare and talk about it.

I'd make music, but me and the other people who make and play music with me can't find any kind of legitimate singer. If you were to make the closest comparison to what we'd sound like, it's Interpol. But that's still pretty vague. But we still don't have anyone who can sing.

    NP: Radiohead - paranoid android
