Might Crop rotation be the card to solve your lodge-problem ? (With or without the cradle ?)

I would main the Zealot instead of the lyrist/scrapper.

Euh.

    I like magic-related names.

You can search names on this site:
    http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/index.jhtml

morphling.net and akroma.net are still available.

A lot of coms are already registered, but moggfanatic isn't.

Ja.

Here's some sliver jank i threw together when i got bored of winning on turn 3. Now i win on turn 4 -5, but i was jsut wondering what you may have to say about it...

    4x aether vial
    4x metallic sliver
    4x heart sliver
    4x hunter sliver
    3x blade sliver
    4x spined sliver
    4x muscle sliver
    2x brood sliver
    3x winged sliver
    3x shifting sliver
    3x shock

    4x wooded foothills
    9x mountain
    8x forest
    2x island
    1x tropical island
    [/deck]

Ok most of my slivers cost 2, so if i can't hardcast them i can usually vial them and get a decent sized army out pretty fast. I have some evasion from the blue splash, and i usually pull the tropical from my first foothills to ensure that i get it. Otherwise this deck has been doing me pretty well in early goldfishing, i was just wondering what you would do to it Smile

    Your deck looks solid.

    I'm not the expert in sliver decks, this is what I would do;

    - drop the overcosted slivers.
    - 3 shifting slivers
goldfishing or not, your slivers are the strongest things on the board. With four muscle slivers, four spined slivers and four hunting slivers, there won't be much blocking.
    - 4 metallic sliver
I don't like this guy. 1/1 for 1 is a poor deal. You can do better during your first turn.

The 2/2 tempest sliver for 2R can work.
    + 3 barbed sliver.
+ 4 incinerate. Blow the blockers away.

(Dropping blue is also an option. Maybe as a sideboard solution.
+ 4 hull breach >>> Your opponents lousy combos.)

    Hope this was helpfull,

Vreemd.

    Thanks,you were very helpful.

    20 Land
    20 Island

    20 Creatures
    4 floating-dream zubera
    3 waterfront bouncer
    3 rootwater thief
    4 spiketail hatchling
    3 cloud of fairies
    3 voidmage prodigy

    20 Other
    4 counterspell
    4 standstill
    4 echoing truth
    4 brainstorm
    4 aether vial

    PS:FC Antwerp

If you can, try to up your number of creatures (by getting four of each) and drop the brainstorms (because brainstorm doesn't do anything by itself).
If you cut the brainstorms, you'll need one or two extra lands. Manland work, but plain islands will also do.

If your metagame is creature-heavy, you can replace the echoing truths with aether bursts.

I assume you already know this, but it is good to repeat it:
using aether vial to block with a floating-dream zubera, or to counter with a spiketail hatchling, voidmage prodigy is good tech.

Wink

    22 Island

    21 Creatures
    4 floating-dream zubera
    3 waterfront bouncer
    3 rootwater thief
    4 spiketail hatchling
    4 cloud of fairies
    3 voidmage prodigy

    12 Other
    4 counterspell
    4 echoing truth
    4 serum visions
    4 aether vial

This deck works by putting creatures into play via aether vial.
The most common cc is 2,so when the vial has 2 counters,i can play most of my deck.
I still have 5 slots left, what do youi think could fit in here ?
    Preferably critters with cc 2.

    Your deck looks really good.

    - 4 Serum Visions
    + 4 brainstorm

Brainstorm is the better card. It also allows you to keep 2 mana untapped for countering/bounce.

    + 4 card drawers.
Standstill is the man here, but the card is not that easy to find any more. Good substitutes are curiosity (nice in a creature-low metagame) and accumulated knowledge (= good synergy with waterfront bouncer). But standstill rules. It is a supercombo with vial and the faeries.

Free counterspells are also an option. Misdirection is expensive, but foil and thwart are uncommons.

If you really want a creature in the 2cc slot, you should try cloudskate or lord of atlantis (Rather cheap rare). Adding extra rootwater thiefs or waterfront bouncers is also good.

    Hope this was helpfull,

    Quotes for Sigs

I AM NOT ASHAMED OF BEING QUOTED, IT IS JUST THAT I DO NOT LIKE YOU PEOPLE RAMBLING ON ABOUT WHAT I SAY. I SAY WHAT I SAY AND YOU PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO QUOTE ME!!!!!!!!!

This is a (humerous) quote thread. This has been done before, but the original "Quotes for Sigs" thread got deleted with the purging of the testing ground.

Some things to keep in mind,
    - Post only real quotes. This means no outside linking.

    - Don't post "LOL" or "check out the quote in my sig" posts. They are considered spam and can result in warnings.

    - Respect the forum guidelines and the humor forum guidelines. (This site is PG-13)

    - Some quotes are funny to read, but may be to inappropriate to put in your sig. Act carefully. Delete the quote if the quoted person ask you to do so. Not everybody likes to be quoted. Respect them. (I'm aware of the irony related to the opening-quote, but irony is humor, right?)

    Probably yes.

    If I'm seeing things clearly, a magic site needs a lot of components to work succesfully;

Good members (the mtgnews community) and content are two important factors. Dito with the management. (We've had that for about a year, and it sucked. )

I don't see how the community, the content or the management can get better. All I have is a 2000+ postcount and a "good reputation".

Eventually it will just depend on the quality of this site. (Good modding >>> a lot of things), and the members on each site. (My clan members, DBG members, regular posters).

    I feel exaclty the same.

It's good to have some place to post, since I don't have much hope for mtgnews any more.

But it's also quite sad, because I've been a member for almost four years.

    Welcome.
