Het punt is dat we een paar proefdrafts moeten houden voor we FNM mogen doen. We zijn begonnen met een CHK draft, maar mensen begonnen te zeuren dat "Mirrodin zo veel sterker was als Kamigawa" en omdat er veel T1(.5)ers zitten die niets hebben aan flavourvolle maar -relatief- matige kaarten. Als ik zie waar Kamigawa heen gaat zal dat wel weer bijtrekken. Maar goed, we zwaaien De Holle, Metalen Planeet mooi even uit voordat Kamigawa echt op gang kan komen. Wel jammer dat PS-Games erg voorzichtig is met FNM net op het moment als Rancor langskomt. :/

Ehr... Niet veel denk ik, behalve dat je dan met wat Hazes-talige personen in een clan zit, en die makkelijk kan meeten tijdens een toernooi ofzo. En dat je info kunt uitwisselen als:

That's true, plus, Black's biggest strength in this block seems to be discard, so it makes sense. How could they make Toshi stand out, though?
How about an ability that says:
tap, 2:symb::symb: : Target opponent chooses a card and imprint it to Toshi.
tap, X:symb::symb:, put a card with CC X or less imprinted on Toshi in its owners graveyard: You may play this spell without paying for its manacost.
That would be very splashy, scary and standing out - plus playing out the 2 abilities discribed in the book) and at the same time to slow and expensive to be of any realistic use.
Doesn´t look like anything the supposed art would do anyhow...
Any thoughts on what his card might do? Discard? Creature kill?
Personally, I'd like to see him have an ability that reflects the Boon of Silence granted to him in the book by the Myojin of Night's Reach. I just don't know what that would be...
The Night´s Reach ability is discard. Nothing says "Shut The Phyrexian Up" like ripping the spells from their hand. Try to cast something now! (boefore you draw again)
He used his jitte more often for scratching Kanji into whatever he found
I dont think he will kill 5 meters tall kami with the jitte
Well, that is what he did, didn´t he? He just scribed the Kanji for Rend Spirit on something. It will only cost him 2B to bring down any Kami. He will be a 2/2 or so, a 5 meter tall Kami will be 3/3 at least. a katana won´t help him much.
The art on the second book IMO most likely belongs to Toshi... it is also shown on one of the promotional pictures (with the BoK booster Ninja / Hidetsugu / Green worm thing) With his name in todays "ask wizards" I'm quite sure he'll be in BoK.

But you are prolly right in thinking he will be a black card. But there is no proof of that to be found.
Ik ben Marius (Wat voor Anne Rice lezers mijn nick wat duidelijker maakt, welke er ook weer op slaat dat ik graag groen speel. soms.), 29 jaar, woonachtig in Zaanstad - alwaar ik met wat vrienden een clubje heb welke elke donderdagavond bijelkaar komt om te magiccen. En soms pakken we er andere spellen bij (Duelmasters is melig bijvoorbeeld, Neopets is ook grappig) Aangezien we regelmatig draften, (hence de site boosterdraft.nl) hopen/proberen we FNM van de grond te krijgen. Verder ben ik te vinden op pre-releases aangezien ik vooral casual speel (maar wel T2/Extended om één of andere reden)
Ik speel vanaf Stronghold, mijn eerste deck was Migraine, één van de precons van SH. Op dit moment heb ik het meeste lol met Samurai, een rood/zwart kami deck en een blauw/wit control deck.
Mijn YuGiOh-esque signature creature is Silvos, Rogue Elemental. Ik bedoel: Rogue, en schimmelig en rogue. En Trample. En regenerate - Ooooh... En Spiritmonger, want Apocalypse is mijn favo set, hoewel ik óók zeer (en mischien langzamerhand wel meer) te spreken ben over Kamigawa block.
Naast Magic ben ik een Grüfti; Een Darkwaver. In de praktijk komt daar weinig van terecht aangezien ik de hele dag Magic sites lee.... werk. En dan kom ik extreem vermoeid thuis enzo...
Not a very spectacular ability, but it being cheap and a legendary samurai helpes the samurai a lot. Konda has a lot of stuff (banner) and people (hatamoto) that gets better with the appropriate legends and this one fits nicely.
