Plus, the Photoshop skills by themselves are not enough. The flavor text is really bad.

Well....Selesnya is really European-sounding. Selesnya is VERY close to Czech word "železná", that means "iron", or more precisely "made from iron".

Sounds awesome. So now we have the Boros Legion with Radiance, The Golgari with Dredge, The Dimir (or Dimir ____?) with yet unnamed keyword, and both the WG guild name and keyword are still unknown... or not, R_E ? Grin

I personally like it much more than the old design. It seems clearer and pictures are at last well framed (I use Firefox).

Me too...I know that there were some strange overlays...bah, it is a matter of custom...after a month, it will be like it was ever like this.
And it is just me, or the new Arcana resembles the old one very much.

Yikes...it reminds me of the design before the last facelift...It was better, IMHO, if you were not lazy to search a bit.

I would definitely check the date on that arcana article.

    *points to date*

    April 1st...:teach:

I know...well, I am neither a naive child nor a naive man... but frankly, the reflection could be almost anything...why not Karn? The "Loot Niptil rule"applies to this case...I can neither prove it nor be disproved:teach:.

EDIT: @Erad : I forgot to mention that I was speaking about the Chrome Mox pic.

The reflection is NOT Karn. Way too dark and skinny.

Well, the reflection at Chrome Mox IS Karn, it was stated in Arcana. The reflection in Mirari is different, and probably not him.

Well, where exactly come the vedalken info from? I have seen it only in Number Crunching and I have a strong feeling that Hunter placed it there, basing only on the multiple races' info. I do not want to be a subject of further sermonizing (Mr.Anus knows), but I will be very surprised if I see any vedalken in Ravnica. But I like the Sigil-like planar hub theory.

EDIT: Ah, sorry. I have read the Rumor Mill threads thoroughly and I have seen the vedalken info. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Guys, I think that it is improbable to have a vedalken in Ravnica. I dimly recall some info about storyline of Mirrodin Block, and there was said something about the Vedalken evolving from Neurok humans at Mirrodin by the effects of prolonged serum consuming - so they were a Mirrodin-specific race (unlike the loxodons, who were grabbed my Memnarch's probes, but except the metallic body parts that were grown due to the effects of mycosynth, they remained rather unchanged.)

I would not mind at all re-reading your precious fiction, Zaz. I think that the one-chapter-a-week is a perfect timing.

RAVNICA means PLAINS ( very large valley ) in Croatian language. There is a large plains in Croatia and Hungary called Pannonia. Letter C in RAVNICA is like C in the word Centaur. ( RAV-NIT-SAA NOT RAV-NIT-SAH )

Geological information: There was a large sea in the Middle/East Europe called THETYS ( Pannonian Sea ).

As a fellow Slavonian (Czech) I can only agree. Take it this way: Recently, the Japanese were often shocked what WotC did to the names and words they knew. Now it is a kind of our turn to shaking head in disbelief how much they had messed the things that are familiar to us... ;-)

Amazing job, VestDan. I am bowing to you, and I am eagerly awaiting next part, though I know the story back and forth.
If you continue this way, the storyline section of our forums will flourish.

Considering the fact that the displays almost always feature a prominent card, it is possible that this girlie if the first legendary creature known of this block. Maybe an overlord of one of the guilds. I would put my money on the B/G variant.
And yes, I think that the pictures feature the same character.

Well, I am here with another interesting concept art. Last time it was Hazeltine's alternate Shuriken. This time I noticed something else. We all know Tooth and Nail, as well as the nice wurm-riding elf with the background of Tangle metallic jungle. But as you can see, the original pic was quite different:
