Quote from Caranthir »Quote from OrzhovPlaneswalker »Does anyone else think it strange how they switched Tajic and Razia’s sentiments towards the other guilds?
See both guildgates
Tajic is now anti cooperation where once he was willing to work with Teysa.
RaziaAurelia was usually the more combative figure as seen in her treatment of Feather.
Fix'd.
Anyway, here is a sneak peek at Azorius land. My money is on Hallowed Fountain (it is the same scene as on RtR art)
Notice anything interesting?
Quote from Kruphix7 »Could be me overreading imagery but the glowing orange symbol in the middle looks vaguely like Bolas horns. Could also potentially be the planar bridge. Weird to see those little flying cars as vehicles would be new to Ravnica. Of the two small figures on the ground in between the towers one seems to have a fur-lined cape and glowing purple eyes so could be Liliana.
They look very reminiscent of Kaladeshi thopters to me (implying Tezzeret, possibly EDIT: or, and I really hope not, Dovin Baan), beyond that the inverted triangle motif at the base of the towers is very evocative of Bolas's horns and the gem between them.

Well, they could have made her trans, bisexual, or wheelchair-bound. This is probably the least forced.

The modern mech visuals are also great.
Changing Kayla's skin tone feels quite forced and unnecessary. Inconsistent with the old comics, a little bit weird concerning Jodah is her great-grandson. I am curious about Harbin and Jarsyl, if they get cards.
And I am a little bit disappointed that they are going with the universal Urza Planeswalker look even for his pre-ascension depictions. The Urza's Saga is so much more accurate to the novel, with him as an old man.

Well, Jodah is her great-grandson. Looks like the comics version is more...well...accurate.
This was quite unnecessary, but I guess I can live with it.
Regarding the cards, this is both a flavor and gameplay win. Urza is immensely powerful, cannot be cheated so easily to play, and using MELD mechanic is an absolutely perfect and storywise accurate way.

Actually, not at all. It is in fact a VERY precise representation of the event.
You even see the 'pters bombing the said dragon engine in the art.

On the other hand, the last line scares me. There are so many people unfamiliar with Roman numerals? Or it is a joke along the lines "This creature cannot even"...?

The two arts for March of the Machines show:
Theros, Zendikar and Kamigawa behind Teferi.
Characters from: Kaladesh, Kamigawa, Arcavios, Ravnica and Kaldheim fighting together. The fighters accompanying Chandra are:
Esika, God of the Tree (in Esika's Chariot)
Kairi, the Swirling Sky.

Heh.
You are probably, right, those characters really look like Baral and Dina, upon closer inspection. Esika...well, too! As well as Kairi.
