A New and Exciting Beginning

The End of an Era
  • published the article Well, it was about time...
... to post the first entry in my blog. Quite frankly, I am not much into blogs, but one should try everything, aye?

My current life is quite turbulent, plenty of tasks, PhD exams in one week and no time to study. That reminds me, if there are any fellow Ph.D. fellows here, do you know www.phdcomics.com?
A disturbing lot of similarities can be found between Jorge Cham's strips and our lives...

I was quite pleasantly suprised to find myself being nominated for the Storyline Poster of 2007. Why? I feel that I was more active in the previous years, for in the last I put a reasonable part of the storylinist's devotion into expanding the storyline section of MTGS Wiki. It is my third nomination in a row (though each time in different category - Most Helpful Member in 05 and Best RM Poster in 06), and for that I am deeply grateful. Thank you, guys, for the nomination and thanks for anyone who decided to vote for me.

Magic life? Well, I got pretty a doozy this Friday, when a friend of mine had a celebration of moving into his own new apartment. 2HG draft of Ice Age and 5-booster two-deck draft of Lorwyn are something that you do not play everyday. Winning through Whalebone Glider-ed Soul Kiss-ed Foul Familiar or wrecking people with a Brion-flinged Nova Chaser was indeed a Magic experience. I've never had such MTG fun (and I've never played MTG twelve hours through the night ;))

By the way, is there anyone who is familiar with Twilight Imperium boardgame? I saw it yesterday in an online shop, and concerning that I absolutely loved Master of Orion II, I am sorely tempted.

Okay, books call me again. Have fun and a good time!
