One of my favourites is the Atogatog tribal (no changelings) that is based off the eggs deck, which I find fits the flavor well since atogs like to eat. It can either win by attacking with atogs or combo out like an eggs deck.
I think I would fall under the category of compulsive deck builder too. I have 73 fully built physical EDH decks and 7 work in progress. The list is below:
I have a Sea Monsters deck (Leviathan/Kraken/Serpent/Octopus) with Lorthos, the Tidemaker as my Commander. Some of the noteworthy cards that I use are:

I built it to test the concept, and as of now it is still doing well.
As for your deck, for the color combination, non-creature based kill would be milling or black-based damage like Pestilence. You can also do damage keeping all opponents' hand full and damage them with Wheel of Torture or make them discard and damage them with Megrim.

I am building a Wort, Raidmother deck that uses ramps to remove lands from the deck and Goblin Charbelcher + Goblin Recruiter combo. I am also trying to include the Food Chain combointo this deck.
I have a zero creature Melek, Izzet Paragon burn deck that uses the Pyromancer Ascension + Spellweaver Volute combo to ascend. It has an (almost) equal amount of instants and sorceries and wins by burning opponents to death.
My Nin, the Pain Artist deck is built off the Owling Mine deck concept, which is to say that I kill my opponents based on their hand size.
My commander, together with cards like Howling Mine, Forced Fruition, Well of Ideas will keep my opponent's hand well stocked and Anvil of Bogardan will allow them to have no maximum hand size.
Cards like Ebony Owl Netsuke, Iron Maiden, Misers' Cage, Viseling and Skullcage punish them for having a lot of cards in their hand.
Finally, Molten Psyche and Cerebral Vortex damages them for drawing cards, Sudden Impact, Gaze of Adamaro, Runeflare Trap and Vicious Shadows hits them based on the number of cards in their hand and Master the Way and Spiraling Embers hits them based on the number of cards in my hand.
I hope this helps!
I am trying to make a Muraganda Petroglyphs deck and I am looking for cards (preferably non-creatures) that will do the following:
Grant abilities without actually giving the ability to the creature:
Johan - My commander
Noble Purpose
Familiar Ground
Gruul War Chant
Predatory Focus
Stop shenanigans and/or neutralize creatures with abilities without making them lose their ability:
Grafdigger's Cage
Torpor Orb
Null Rod
Rest in Peace
Ground Seal
Suppression Field
Hand to Hand
Stranglehold
Leyline of Punishment
Any suggestions and ideas are appreciated.
Thanks!

Black
Chainer, Dementia Master for nightmare/horror

I enjoy building decks and see them work in actual play.
Good to see a fellow compulsive deck builder!
I have a Sea Monsters deck (Leviathan/Kraken/Serpent/Octopus) with Lorthos, the Tidemaker as my Commander. Some of the noteworthy cards that I use are:
Quest for Ula's Temple - Allows more sea monsters to be dropped onto the battlefield. I run what I call "chain tutors" to fetch it, such as Dizzy Spell, Merchant Scroll and Muddle the Mixture.
Whelming Wave - Clears all your opponents' creatures, leaving yours to beat them.
Torpor Orb - Stop the sea monsters' (Jokulmorder, Eater of Days, Sky Swallower, Denizen of the Deep) bad CIP effects, at the same time stopping your opponents' good ones.
Surestrike Trident - Allows the sea monsters to deal damage without attacking. (Thing from the Deep, Leviathan)
Spreading Seas - Cantrips and allows your sea monsters to attack. Best with Islandwalk.
I hope this helps! Good luck in making yours!
I have a Atogatog eggs deck that is tribal at the same time and it can function as both an aggro or a combo deck, depending on cards drawn.
The other combo deck that I have is a Hazezon Tamar Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle combo deck.
I hope these gives you some ideas!
