I oughta get my three favorite EDH decks up on here sometime, I've been lurking for about a month but never got around to it;
Karador Spirit Tribal: Bought it off TCGPlayer when I decided I wanted to get back into playing EDH, was an immediate hit with everyone. It's fun, it's fair, and it can very easily drop every creature in it's deck into play in one fell swoop.
Progenitus Charms: A deck focusing on multicolor Charm cards (i.e. Jund Charm, Golgari Charm, etc), Cascade, and a variety of ways to make use of the spells such as Galvanoth, Guttersnipe... and Cloven Casting, which is awesome.
Norin: A coin flip and chaos deck, it either gets a ton of love or a ton of hate, either/or. He absolutely tore apart the Sharuum combo deck I mentioned via Confusion In The Ranks, the guy forfeiited a few turns after.
I have all the non-promo planechase cards, I believe, and I'm asked every Wednesday night when we go for EDH to pull them out. Planechase can be a lot of fun for casual metas! Of course, the two people you can always count on to be dicks playing extremely expensive decks (Sharuum and Teferi are their mains) hate the format because it might make them lose.
It really adds a nice element of randomness though!
Wow, I wish tourney boxes were still around, so I could get these lands in bulk. There are very few of those I don't like...and I'm seeing my favorite island sitting snugly in there.
This is absolutely ridiculous. The rest of the rule changes are fine (though Battlefield and Exile are just silly), but the combat? What the hell, they just tore a bloody, gaping hole through MTG's strategy! And the strategy is the reason it has players!
Face it, Wizards, you're not getting new players, especially by making the rules HARDER to understand, alienating the old ones, and making obvious marketing ploys every pack.
I doubt that anything will be done about this, 'cause spoon forbid Wizards be wrong about something, but...yeah. I can't say that I would quit the game, or stop playing at tournaments (they're the only thing I can play at atm), but I definately wouldn't want to much at all.
'cause strategy makes MTG what it is...was...not the monstrosity that is Yugioh.
I'm going to run a singleton in my Ramp deck and see how it works out. I might add a second depending on how well it works. But with 3x Blightning, 3x Birds, 4x Rampant, and 4x Fertile, you have plenty of low-cc stuff to hit, and it certainly helps to power out your threats (which are easier to find with more non-threats out of the deck).
Also, does anyone have any good suggestions against the red rush decks? Sligh, Blightning, RDW, whatever you want to call them? I have finks in my sideboard, but I'm not sure what all I can do against them.
EDIT: Also, Bloodbraid and Bituminous are awesome.
Not a ridiculously powerful one, but a solid deck that played well. Cascade Sphinx- I mean, Enigma Sphinx- was a fun card, but I didn't get anything great from it. Once I cascaded into a Punish Ignorance... >_>
The 3/4 artifact guy who gets stronger when you play artifacts was probably my MVP, as well as a pair of Sighted-Caste Sorcerors. Esper served me pretty well, I must say...I landed a nice 4-2 record today.
I watched a guy play double broodmother dragon, behemoth sledge, and a quietus spike...lucky him, eh? I also heard someone cracked four mythics in his pool, but didn't hear what. All I got was Death Baron, Sages of the Anima, Cradle of Vitality, Cascade Sphinx, Punish Ignorance and Spellbreaker Behemoth. Lova da sphinx, did I mention that?

I'm all about the gathering of resources, and then overwhelming the opponent with threats until their puny defenses crumble.
