This deck is really solid against aggro now. What a difference gnaw to the bone makes. I've been having trouble against the BGr midrange deck though. Has anyone found the same thing?
What problem are you having against Jund? I would think that matchup would be fairly easy to handle.
if you really want to get rid of them il take them off your hands mtgo name is fredrickelrik.
just got a pod deck and some random stuff on there atm would be great to have some more stuff to mess around with.
The cards he's talking about are untradable.
@DrWorm - Make the lands you don't want tradeable, and track down a bot that buys bulk cards, I believe the SharpBuyBots are good about this. They'll take your unwanted lands off your hands, maybe. Just do some searching in the classifieds and you'll find something, even if you have to give them away.
This deck disgusts me with how good it's turning out to be. Gnaw to the Bone is the only card I can ever remember making me rage at my monitor. Having your opponent go OOPS I GAIN 30 LIFE! OOPS FLASHBACK! Is just too much, and if I counter that they drop an army of spiders... then a 15/15 trampler >.<
My RUG control deck now has a full set of Dream Twists in the board JUST for this matchup.
Hopefully DKA will have some legitimate graveyard hate, because what we have now doesn't come close to cutting it.
Is there a reason to run Burning Vengeance maindeck anymore??
I usually board it out against aggro and right now I'm only playing against aggro, either RW Humans or GW Humans. I'm seriusly considering moving the vengeance to the board, and play some garruk and some other threat maindeck.
If that's how you feel then you're better off playing the 4 Color Snapcaster Control deck that's also listed here. It's functionally UR Control that splashed green for Garruk and Naturalize and white for Geist of Saint Traft in the board. It's "probably" the best control deck in the format right now... "probably"
Looks like you were right Goliat, gratz on 7th. That said I think I'm going to have to abandon BUG in favor of 4cc. Having easy access to MB Dissipate is just too good right now I think.
I'm leaving the office in just a couple minutes so I'm gonna just rapid fire my thoughts:
-I never considered Snapcaster Mage since I don't run MD Dissipates and every other relevant spell has Flashback anyway
-It's very likely I'll increase Bloodgift Demon to 4. Garruk already is at 4.
-I don't run 4x Dead Weight because I'm just not that afraid of aggro decks game one, and that may have to do with my Silent Departures, which are very real cards.
-I can't agree with Stensia Bloodhall on any level.
-UG Dredge isn't a deck
-I like having 4 Curses in the board, as it's never dead against the decks you bring them in for. I've also cut Tree down to 2 and replaced a tree and the 2 Bloodline Keepers with 3 Dissipates. I'd much rather be bringing those in against UR than extra creatures...
-I ran Night Terrors in BR and they were fantastic (and easier to cast than Dissipate). I'm strongly considering them in that slot. Better to be proactive in this deck I think.
-IMHO, Memory's Journey isn't relevant enough, even though it has some application against UR.
-Tribute is good when you want it, so I can't quite cut all my copies. I may get there though.
-Drownyard wins against UR. I love it.
-As much as I hate Shimmering Grotto... I don't hate Shimmering Grotto.
-Traveler's Amulet is a bit awkward I think... I don't like it.
-I may just switch my Garruk and Liliana counts around, and put a 4th Liliana in the board.
1) You're thinking Tickets. You buy 1 ticket for $1. There are ways to circumvent the currency system though, like buying singles from MTGO card shops like MTGOTraders.com with PayPal.
2) It is for me, since I don't like buying cards twice. If you have the money go for both. Neros' sig puts it best: "MTGO is great for playing Magic, paper is great for socializing."
3) You just put $10 down and pay for cards, packs and tournaments.
Actually RDW has been putting up 4-0 and 3-1 results left and right. I'm not going to do the research for you, but check out the DE results on the official site and this deck can be moved into competitive I'm sure.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this deck. It's like under optimal situations it has an answer for EVERYTHING, but I'm find when it flops, it flops hard. This deck (Snapcaster Control maybe?) is starting to pop up everywhere, but I still feel like BUG is more, refined I guess?
This deck can support MD Dissipates which is huge, BUG can't "really" do that, but then Liliana is just so good. Is there room for two control decks in the format?
I always called the deck RUGw since the white's only there for Geist... but that's obviously not important
The deck went 3-1 in a DE before that, and 4-0 in a DE before that, so it's putting up consistent results. I like it, it's clearly got game against everything, and I was playing around with it last night to some decent success.
Maybe I'll just add a couple Isolated Chapels to my BUG deck and roll Geist in the board against UR
Out of curiosity, what does blue add? Are the Think Twices and Silent Departures really that powerful to justify weakening the manabase that much?
The Forbidden Alchemy sure as hell is... The mana base really isn't that weak, and up until BUG I was playing BG and the Blue has made it nothing if not more consistent.
Regarding splash mana, what I'm starting to see online is people running a set of Ghost Quarters and a single basic. That may be the solution if people are really concerned with blowing up Burning Vengeance.
The Crossway Vampire is nice in mirror, where we want always hit to the opponent. But really vs the rest of decks, i have found it regular or directly bad. At the end, i have put 2 Bloodline Keepers in main, and they are awesome, cause allows not overextend your table.
My problem now is with Burning Vengeance. The Orb isnt enough, cause everybody is playing Ancient Grude in side. Any thoughts?
P.D. Olivia is incredible. 4 copies in main. And yeah, its legendary.
I suppose you could replace 4 Swamps and 4 Mountains with 4 Isolated Chapels and 4 Clifftop Retreats and play a set of Urgent Exorcisms in the board for the BV match up?

4) http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=320358. Also, you can download and install it (Takes about an hour on my 10MB downstream cable) and play the free trial all you want without registering.
5) Why the **** didn't you sign up for the WoW Annual Pass to get Diablo 3 for free? 4.3 and Mists of Pandaria are going to be great, come on man
