I am so great at randomly forgetting I belong to a clan! w007!
Anyway, I am planning on taking a 'rogue' deck to some extended PTQs. It is a combination of two netdecks in an interesting fashion that I have not seen done before. My friend and I were brainstorming in a way to improve one deck, and almost as a joke a particular card in another deck was suggested, and I built the joke deck at like 11 at night, thinking it would suck.
I went to playtest the next day... 2-1 vs. tooth, 2-0 vs. storm, like 8-2 vs. aggro rock. I was like 'hmm, this merits more testing' So I am doing just that.
I went to a magic tournament yesterday, and drafted some time spiral.
I placed in the top four out of twenty people, which is alright, and the last 5 times Ive been to these tourneys, I have top foured. (In Legacy, Vintage, Extended and Draft).
Each time I pulled 1 dual from my prize packs :). Yesterday it was hallowed fountain.
I gtg now,
I will post more later, and try and keep up with this thread better.
As a student, I do not believe teachers should carry guns. Teachers are humans, and they are not perfect. I have seen my teachers get angry, and while I sincerely doubt that a teacher would kill somebody, it could happen. However, that is not a huge possiblity.
What I percive as a bigger threat is a student who is angry. I have known many many students to get angry beyond reason. Unless only large, physically fit individuals are allowed to carry weapons, what stops said enraged student from taking a gun? I have seen, had, and have small female teachers. Unless they draw their weapon at the smallest sign of anger, which creates another issue altogether, a larger student could easily overpower a teacher and take their weapon.
If a student is planning to kill people, but does not have access to a gun, then he can simply, calmly wait until a small teacher is distracted or isolated, and take their weapon.
If only large physically fit people are allowed to carry weapons, just get trained security, which I do believe schools could use. It would also make me more comfortable, because if they have less interaction with the students, they will be more likely to be able to incapacitate an armed student, as well as maintain control if they get angry.
Im debating if I should come with seriousness or with a jank ******** deck
This will be the 2nd once Ive missed... I plan on going actively again soon but recently I just havent felt like driving.
Maybe Im just bad at this, but I quite simply cannot find anything on a legacy tournament in berkeley.
Id like to go to that, so any direct help would be greatly appreciated.
I played ScepterChant in Legacy a little while back, I will see if I can get a list, but the core of it involved a lot of burn, and spot removal.
all worked pretty well, and helix on scepter is pretty good. The man lands hurt your mana base vs. Wasteland, I would probably cut them.
