I guess but if the threads were already refreshed for me they would still be hilighted if any new posts were added. I will have to get used to it. I've started to use the bottom right to navigate but when I go into a new thread I still need to refresh even when the outside says its updated, that can be bothersome.

What browser do you use, because that seems a little more refresh-needy than it should be.

I'm trying to edit a post....

I just checked, and there isn't a time limit on editing.
The post must be atleast 1 character, and has a max of 20000 characters.
I just edit one of your posts to make sure there wasn't a glitch.

No one else has encountered this yet, so hopefully it was just a random glitch while we were updating something.

Make sure everything gets pasted in correctly, is in the limits, and try again.
If it still happens, let me know and I'll look into it asap.

If you don't mind me asking, how is the progress on the hacks such as dice rolling coming along? No pressure or anything, but I would like to start the dice rolling game.

You mean you actually WANT dice?
    oh alright..

    :p

    Dice Roll
Allows a user to "roll dice" with his post. Once the user has rolled, he can not reroll or edit his post to change that roll. Dice rolls appear unique so they cannot easily be faked.

    Notes
    • Only one roll per post.
    • You may post the dice tag again in your post, and it will repeat your roll.
    • 1 to 9 Dice rolled at once.
    • 2 to 999 faces on those dice.

    Syntax:
    [dice=NumberOfDice]SidesOfDice[/dice]

    Example Usage:
    [dice=4]10[/dice]

    Example Output:

    [dice]

NP. I'm not upset or anything, take your time if you have to. Just trying to find out about it, as the only way it was going to change was to let you know.

Plus that's not a bad responce time really. This is the first time I've bothered to check for one. :p

    Its done.
The limit is fairly high.. so dont abuse it.

If you have an obnoxiously large sig with a bunch of smilies.. dont be suprised if you get a pm from us
    Wink

But we trust you all know the right limits.
which is why we allowed them

    Why is this Confused

    now I'm at http://67.18.215.247/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=15

    very odd indeed.
did you get linked here? If so it may have been the link.

Otherwise it would appear to be a browser problem.

Is this an ongoing problem or just happened once?

    most odd.

Other people seem to be using an offsite avatar without problems, so I'm not sure whats up. We'll definantly look into it.

The best guess I have is that the image itself is corrupted in some way.

I couldn't tell from your post, did you try uploading to your avatar cp?

    [EDIT]

I went into your account options to see if something had been disabled. No luck. But while I was there, I tried uploading it - it worked.

We're still goina look into it, but atleast you won't have to wait until we find the bug for you to use that pimpin hippo

For future reference, you have a 5 minute window in which you can change the title of your thread. After that, it won't appear to change on the outside.

If you feel this isn't enough, leave a message and we'll discuss it.

BMPs are an allowed file type.

as of right now, our attachment limit for images is
    620 x 280

We'll discuss upping it, but I wont give you any promises.
At worst, we'll probably up the height.

To be honest.. I dont know why it was turned off again.

After I go through the list of Everyone who has access to turn it off, to make sure there wasn't a problem with it, I will update you as to why.

If there isn't a reason for it to be off, it will be back on.

    I like it too :p

    Edit:
    I haven't forgotten. :p
    There are some issues involved.
    Outcome is still pending.

Hey guys I don't know if this is site related or a problem with my computer but I find that I have to refresh all the time to see new posts/threads. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

If you're hitting the [Back] button to go back to the index, it will use the version that is cached in your system. If you dont like this, use the forum navigation links (like click The Coffee House link above in the thread's breadcrum trail).

Although a couple hate having to refresh or use the links, we haven't gone through and tried to make it automatically refresh because alot of people dont want this. Alot of people, especially those on slower connections, use the back button so they wont have to reload between every thread.

Sorry if it's an inconvienence though. Frown

I don't seem to be able to delete threads I've made. Does anyone know what is up with that?

I just rechecked - you have an infinite amount of time to edit (or delete) a thread or post, so you probably forgot to check the box.

If this isn't the case, repost and I'll delve deeper into it.

I assume you're just talking about the "who's online" ?

Since you're an admin, you can see people who have hid their online status. To show that this is the case, vB adds asterisks by their name.

Error - cannot find an image at the specified URL. Please make sure that you have entered a valid URL.

I'm sure you've already check the url, so check to make sure that you've kept the "http://" in the front to fit. I was getting this error until I realized I had cut that off.

If you know you're putting it in right, paste in here exactly what you put in the offsite link box, and I'll check into it.

Is the time on the forums wrong? My computer says it is currently 42 after. and it says 3 after on the forums.

    Fixed.
This is one of the reasons we had the small down time tonight.

However, the server was only off 20 1/2 minutes.
So if it still appears off for you, you might want to check your clock Smile

Are we going to ever be allowed to have more than 4 smilies in our sigs? With 4 or less it works fine, but when I try to add a 5th my sig dies. I can't even get the full mana color wheel.

sorry i haven't responded right away, we're still checking into this.

it seems to be more of a bug than a limit.

we'll get it upped as soon as we can.
