So uh... I got on my computer this morning, and lo and behold, those damn images are gone again.
I deleted my cache, closed my browser, and BAM. They're not not there.

Sounds like the cache is still not deleting all the way.
You seem to be one of the few people here that acknowledge that, and you don't take a minute of hesitation before admitting your failures. That's not only a nice thing, but also must've been pretty difficult for you to make the transition. I wonder what made you see everything in a different light...

Is your key WEP or WPA?
You might, for the time being, try disabling your key altogether and just seeing if it's a WPA/WEP issue.
Make sure you make those other changes. Right now you have two entries to start up the eth1 interface.
Make this:

Then, save and close the file.
Now, run these:
With any luck, your wireless should work.
