It's sexism basically. Both among people choosing the music and the ones listening to it. Most mainstream rock music listeners want to hear crappy Kings of Leon style vocals, and male vocals are comfortable for them to listen to since it's always been that way. Women are basically expected to make vapid pop or country songs these days, not any kind of rock statement.
Pretty disappointed by the album. It feels like a retread rather than something that's looking forward, and 8 tracks is pretty lame unless they're planning a double album (which has been rumored).
Cold weather play is a vital part of football's history. Constantly ignoring it in the biggest game of the year is lame imo. The best teams should be able to win in all conditions. Not to mention that the perceived advantages/disadvantages of playing in certain weather are generally overstated I would guess.
Husker Du and The Replacements are both essential early alternative rock bands, as well as Pixies. Those three are probably the most "important" along with REM.
The ArchAndroid is still my favorite album this year... and I'm more of an indie rock guy than the hip hop/pop thing. Her constant experimentation and dabbling in tons of styles reminds me a bit of Bjork's awesome mid-90s output, plus she has a great voice obv.
I highly doubt it. Given that you have a 40-point lead over me with 4 playuers to play, the only question is do you win by 25 or 40? The only possible way I can come close is if the packers' defense scores 20-some points AND the jets get completely shut down.
What am I doing wrong?
Yeah, my team actually played today. My investment in the Panthers backs looks awful though and my QBs are obviously loltacular.
No TV show can match its literary qualities, characters, acting, etc.
Massive Attack
Portishead
Bjork
Broadcast
The Knife
Are all pretty good.

No kidding. Honestly think it's pretty lame and tasteless on their part, since this card is always going to be associated with.... that.... now.
