Utvara is my favorite dragon to come out in the last 4 years. I built a casual "Jund" deck for him using defender mana for ramp. Parallel Lives is an awesome addition for this type of deck. I highly recommend it.
They have a reason for their current Guild distribution.
In Ravnica: City of Guilds you only had one expansion for your guild. What I mean; You wouldn't find any support for Dimir in Guildpact or Dissension.
That makes sense but have they stated what size of a set Gatecrash is going to be? It'd be a shame to have half of the guilds crammed into a small set.
Still can't help but wonder what sort of twist they're going to work into the end of this block. Sort of seems to be the running theme for blocks anymore to go all weird at the end.
It's been feeling odd to me that they put five guilds in the first set this time around when the original Ravnica set started with only four. That allowed for an even distribution of the remaining six in the following two sets. Perhaps they are just re-calibrating the dispersion for the modified set sizes but I like to hope they are planning a neat surprise. Like: what if they finished the other five guilds in the second set and then did something highly anticipated and neat like make wedge guilds in the third set. Complete with a set of wedge lands. Just a random speculation but I think it could be neat. Any thoughts?
I can't help but wonder why wizards didn't take this opportunity to give an emblem with "no max hand size" to this sorcery spell, especially when it would be fitting both flavorfully and mechanically.
Theoretically I could tap anything my opponent controlled AND lock down additional "artifacts" with a single Rust Tick by untapping and re-using it with the Voltaic Key because of how Rust Tick is worded, right?
As long as Rust Tick is tapped during their untap step, nothing it tapped should untap. So combining that with Liquimetal Coating, I can lock down their lands and everything in theory.
I once bought 3 booster packs of Time Spiral and got 2 rares in each but no time-shifted cards. One of these odd packs had both a foil and a non-foil Thelon of Havenwood.
I agree weird mix-ups happen in packs but this one sounds pretty widespread.
With the leaking of Eye of Ugin (barring its proved correct upon official spoiling) I expect as I'm sure most everyone else does they'll be colorless *non*-artifact fatty creatures. This much seems obvious. They could quite easily still require colored mana. Ghostfire did. The precadent has already been set. It's much the same way Kobolds which cost zero mana could still be considered red.
Also their description really reminds me of the creatures from the fan-made purple set. So I wouldn't be surprised if their abilities involved usage of the exile zone. Should be something epic too considering they're supposed to be uber powerful critters. Here's an idea I had:
Yes, it's an mse mock-up, yes its using a futureshift frame (hint* i used it because it was a colorless frame) and I believe "Akoum" is a mountain range or something. Also I have no idea who the artist was for the pic so I just picked one. And I added a black frame even though it's no way related to black mana. Also the card number would be wrong. And it has a planeswalker symbol in the corner.
My guess is that this decklist was compiled simply to highlight an angel theme and not with any specific strategy.
I'd be thrilled simply with just wedge versions of the shards cycle.

I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks

Would this work?

Pity too. Best pirate planeswalker ever.
