I think people will be surprised how many mtg players have a bit of a collector gene. I mean this entire thought process that every collector just loves to stare at his cards and doesn't give a crap about playing is a joke. These days everyone I know plays the game or at least used to play the game a lot, they all still have nice collections and in some cases don't sell everything when they quit.
Pure collectors are out there, for sure but they seem to be a dying breed. I haven't traded with someone that looks like he will take those cards home and put them in a binder forever. My point is buying a card and then seeing your card go down 300% or more in price overnight can be quite a bit of a feel bad for a player. Even if you don't give a crap about collecting magic it sucks to have something drop in value.
CFB is almost certainly like SCG where their event prices match their web ones. Always keep that in mind when looking at their prices for cards, Standard ones especially.
Somewhat off topic, but would that be why Avacyn, Angel of Hope is $24.99 on SCG right now?
Chandra doubled today. She went from 20 to 40, same with her regular foils. Seems like people expect the SDCC should double as well. That's my guess.
MtG prices are stupid. It seems like any moderately good card is $20-25 or higher anymore. Don't even get me started on things on the SDCC promos. What caused her to double? Good showing in a recent tournament?
Meh, nothing amazing. 3/3 for 2G is on curve, and that's pretty much all there is to say about it. Overall, this set so far isn't impressing me. The art and flavor is nice, but mechanically the set doesn't appeal to me.
Uh huh. Whatever you think you believe, you are not debating in good faith. If you're getting tired of defending the scry lands from people who are not impressed by them, just step away from the topic and don't post in it again.
As for my thoughts: The lands are functional. I'm not too thrilled about their rarity, but what's done is done. I don't buy sealed product nor really play anyway (I just occasionally collect singles that interest me) so WotC and its supporters don't care about what I think.
The flavor and design of the cerberus and Rescue from the Underworld are pretty good. Elspeth....eh. The abilities aren't bad, per se, but I feel she is overcosted by 1. 6 mana walkers need to be very strong to be worth the mana cost, and in a vacuum she doesn't seem to fulfill the criteria imo. Obviously this may change with testing. In any event, say hello to the next overhyped planeswalker that will be on preorder for $30+.
Yeah, we're so entitled.
So entitled waiting for the /chance/ to get one while everyone else who talks about throwing around money already have some and tell everyone to go on ebay to buy them when that's the exact same they can do, and yet they are also waiting.
It's classic FYGM. Those who already have some that are waiting for a hasbrotoystore sale are likely going to resell them*, which is disgusting imo.
Do you know what an LLC is? What do those letters stand for?
LLC stands for Limited Liability Corporation, and is a type of business incorporation that protects the owners' (whether singular or plural) private assets should the business fail or enter financial/legal issues. That's a very general/basic overview of course.
It's me, I am the bolded.

Likely, just EBay. You can pretty much forget about ever getting a set for "cheap". I certainly have.
****! It had to go up while I was working, didn't it?

So, I was incorrect. Oh well. The gameshow sound effects are unnecessary and rather juvenile, however.
Oh, by the way, was my brief description worthy of a ding or buzz sound effect?

*NOTE: consider on a case by case basis
Edit:
Ha. In a month $400 won't even be close to buying one on EBay.
