On the old Mirrodin War site that has since been taken down, there were a lot of quotes and miscellaneous information that were lost with the website. For example, under Tezzeret's entry was a quote I remember going something like:
"I knew Tezzeret would be intrigued by what he found. So why did I send him there? Why indeed."
-Nicol Bolas
That is a stupid reason to not buy cards. I hope everyone in your playgroup pulls insane cards and destroys you with them. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you shouldn't get the best cards. Plus due to symmetry it was known from the start that there would be more Phyrexia regardless of the winner. I for one am looking forward to more Phyrexia because they've won my heart, I was totally for Mirrans at first but their cards are just... meh. IMO of course.
I agree VB it doesnt appear that similar to the shadow.
Well, I might buy one just to have all the symbols, but I neglected to say that to make a point. I don't have a playgroup, I just buy them for the novelty, and because the MBS and Conflux prereleases coincide with my birthday. Please don't call my reasoning stupid. I went Phyrexian at the release because I needed Glissa, because I've been reading Mirrodin novels since grade school, and it sickened me how grotesque the Phyrexians were. It seems that all the old Mirrodin characters (Glissa, Karn, Geth) have Phyrexian watermarks, despite being more Mirran at heart than any other Mirran cards.
Just as a final sentiment, I hope they resolve the Phyrexian (and possibly Eldrazi) conflicts with a victory for the heroes in a later block, and that hopefully one day there will be a Mirrodin Pure.
MAGIC The Gathering
Tales of strange and deadly creatures emerging from the Mephidross are spreading faster than its corroded borders. They are the harbringer of a great corruption--the reawakening of Phyrexia.
SCARS OF MIRRODIN
THE QUEST FOR KARN
ROBERT B. WINTERMUTE
Venser--former apprentice and friend of Karn, Mirrodin's creator--and his planeswalker allies Elspeth Tirel and the geomancer Koth know of the Phyrexian contagion and search for a way to contain it.
The potential savior and destroyer of the plane, Karn fights the corruption building inside him. As the new Father of Machines, what could stop Karn from spreading Phyrexia throughout the Multiverse? Even Tezzeret, armed with the secret of etherium, recognizes the consequences of such an outcome. If he can't master Phyrexia, he will look to those who can.

What makes me mad is that their is no plane for esper.
I agree 100%. No matter how difficult it may have been, they shouldn't have deprived the all-artifact plane from the all-artifact planechase deck. Even if the plane needed to be tweeked to have nothing to do with artifacts, they should have just let it in.
This is a very large comic image detailing Nicol Bolas. It may contain spoilers up to Conflux.
First thing: don't use so large image, or use spoiler tags in order not to stretch the page.
Second, while I appreciate your effort, it's barely readable, with typos, factual errors and half-baked jokes (some angry Japanese guy..., Rakdos).
Last but not least, this is primarily a subforum for discussion about storyline, NOT for posting fan creations. But I will leave this open so that others can comment.

One more thing, I still don't understand how my image isn't storyline discussion. If it needs to be moved because it's more of a fan creation, I don't know which subforum I need to post it in.
I found out that the WotC sample hand decks for the next arcana were the Alara Reborn theme decklists, and I got copies of the names of all the new cards:
"I knew Tezzeret would be intrigued by what he found. So why did I send him there? Why indeed."
-Nicol Bolas
Would anyone happen to have the exact quote?

This card seems to be a new card. Robot Chicken.
If it isn't, I don't know how to contact the database and correct this mistake. Can someone help

Okay, so the file was SO big, I needed to make it a jpg that's 7 times as less MB. And, looking at the comments above, I decided to make this file a link.
