Anyone else start painting Commander 2013 cards and find that they are covered in oil and don't take the paint at all?
Yeah, at first I thought something was wrong with my materials but then other cards I painted in the same session were fine. I found that I had to sort of double prime the cards. Maybe I was just washing off the layer of gloss?
I have a question. Buying alter arted cards such as Gaea's Cradle...
How would you recognise it's a WCD card under the paint?
Aside from scratching paint off the card, you can't really tell unless you see the back of the card. Sometimes the gold stamped player's signature comes over the text box, so if it is a borderless alter you can still tell that way.
These three seem like the best bets; there are definitely some interesting options though, as you outlined. Is there some sort of resource where there is a Type 4 set overview for each set? Seems like it would be a good reference for updating/changing the nature of a stack.
Seems like it is a combo piece that can be crazy good or just a variant of Pandemonium. I'm testing it out in my 500-card cube next time I can get a draft going.
Crazy cool colors as expected. I just have to ask, was keeping the outline of the boxes something that was requested, or was it your call? I've had people request that look. On simple extensions, it looks better on some cards than others. It seems easier to pull off on custom art.
If they reprint the Dual Lands, which they almost certainly will have to, they might have to do them at uncommon, like they were back in Unlimited.
Weren't they always printed at rare? I thought it was just the early expansions that had different rarities of uncommons (U1, etc.), but ABUR dual lands were always in rare slots.
I have Grave Betrayal in my stack. It has resolved a couple of times when another player was the "clear threat" at the table. The player who resolved Grave Betrayal then became "threat B," as "threat A" would get dealt with only to have "threat B" take over. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, it has been a good card. Sometimes it is easy to think that a card needs to affect the board when you play it, but cards like this are nice because they are both powerful and can fly under the radar at times.
It's enormous. It's basically a binder filled with every card that's ever been acquired for, tested in or cut from my cube. I don't have the motivation to list it in the OP, to be totally honest with you.
Gotcha; I understand. I guess the change log would probably serve the same purpose anyway.
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't been able to find it in searching your thread: Have you ever considered listing your on-deck binder in your OP? Would be interesting to see what is on the verge of inclusion, kinda like the "Also Receiving Votes" section of college sports ranking polls.
Those are a couple of very reasonable letters. I like the specific request for some sort of action/response; they can't just continue to ignore people. As others have said, please keep us posted on any responses you guys get.
This inspired me to do a Sonic alter too:

Yet another format for which I want an Unexpectedly Absent!
