(T): Add 1 Colorless mana to you mana pool
(T): Draw a card. Activate this ability only when you could cast a sorcery, only once each turn, and only if you have 0 cards in hand.
Anything along the lines of Library of Alexandria is sketchy card design territory, but the drawbacks, imho, are enough to make this land more realistic. Thoughts?
In general my question is there are some cards with triggers or abilities that select the targets on resolution, while there other spells or abilities that select the targets as your casting it. How do you know the difference
This deck I made has been doing great in testing the gauntlet. Its hard to ride the train to valuetown against these creatures and the PW/s are tough to kill save for O-Ring and Beast
I love this card. True it is an uber defensive card, but it is one of the only "outs" in standard when you need to dig for an immediate answer when the game is on the line. There has to be a way to break this card for Standard, and maybe at the end of this experiment this card will just be a FAIL!... But lets see what we can brew. There is one card that works perfectly with a U/x shell that benefits the Shrine:
Thanks for responses... I don't have a lot of paper magic cards except for edh decks, but I was wondering more about procedural things such as:

Deck Swaps? (How this works)
Lookin out for/Being a Rules Nazi (What rules to point out, missed triggers, etc...)
Amount of time to shuffle, sideboard, and slow playing
Saturday in Providence, RI, I'll be attending PTQ Honolulu. I've never been to a large Competitive REL tournament before and I was wondering what to bring, what to expect, and what to watch out for. Thanks!
I took Volley and ended up red burn with Past in Flames with blue draw and bounce. Riot Devils was the unsung hero of this deck, does exactly what you want and more in red!
Volley is safest overall bet, most splashable, weakest card on power level
Ranger has highest upside, not in strongest color
Fiend is in strong color, high impact and tempo swing, hardest on mana turn it CitP
Banshee is in strong color, mostly a 2for1, already have a 5 drop wincon though
Skabby is highest power level, most difficult to cast, worth the most
What's the pick?

When drafting the U/W Skies deck, what is the ideal flyer count of each good flyer? Do you overload on the 2/1 First striker, how many 2/3 guys make the cut, how many 3/2 beaters is too many?
Really? Cause I think I'd take the Sturmgeist and feel pretty good about it.
haha that would be the pick... just a roundabout way of saying Crows is better than slayer in a vaccuum.
What do people think of Splinterfright? I think it is difficult to judge the card's value P1P1 so I think I'd take some sweet removal over it, well there isn't that much sweet removal, but
Both costing 3 Hunter has more card advantage, but isn't easily splashable, while the Lhurgoyf dude can be splashed and pairs well with Blue and Black, both of which I think are better than White in this Limited environment
Murder of Crows over it every other time. Being an Uncommon Air Elemental/Merfolk Looter (sometimes) will win you games, whereas the Flametounge Kavu's little brother will pull you out of tough situations 70% of the time and be a 3/2 for 4 30% of the time.
What about this P1P1 with no other strong signals in the pack:
Red seems hit or miss. The haste/EoT return to hand guys can be insane or blanks, (Viashino Sandscout , Viashino Cutthroat)and there are few midrange beaters, but the pingers are very nice along with Ghitu Slinger. Red removal is fantastic too.
Fireball Mark XLVII is still quite good... Travel Preparations, Prey Upon, Avacynian Priest,Bonds of Faithalso in pack
P1P2: Brimstone Volley
Best Common and literally nothing in the pack save for Diregraf Ghoul and Stitched Drake
P1P3:
Since we're obviously taking a red card, what is the ranking of the red cards here?

The triggered ability on Grip of Chaos, as quoted in the Card Rulings:
" You determine the new target when this ability resolves"
Why does a player choose the target on resolution here and not before resolution?

4 Viridian Emissary
3 Thrun, the Last Troll
3 Solemn Simulacrum

2 Doom Blade
1 Go for the Throat

1 Day of Judgment
1 Black Sun's Zenith
3 Beast Within
2 Liliana of the Veil
1 Garruk Relentless
3 Gideon Jura
1 Elspeth Tirel
2 Garruk, Primal Hunter
Lands
8 Forest
4 Woodland Cemetery
4 Isolated Chapel
3 Swamp
4 Plains

Tezzeret's Gambit
From there where do we go?
5 mana (2B 2R + 1) or 2B 2R and Priest of Urabrask
Rune-Scarred Demon into Phyrexian Metamorph into Phyrexian Metamorph into Phyrexian Metamorph into Phyrexian Metamorph into Urabrask the Hidden swing for win.
Quite epic!

P1P1: Manor Gargoyle with a bunch of unplayables in pack
P1P2: Brimstone Volley vs Daybreak Ranger vs Fiend Hunter vs Morkrut Banshee vs Skaab Ruinator
One fantastic card of each color

Splinterfright vs Fiend Hunter seems close.

Tribute to Hunger vs Victim of Night
Good Black is the nuts (Pestilence)
Green stompy better than white/blue control?
Green's got some mean echo creatures and fatties. (Acridian , Weatherseed Treefolk)
White has creatures with nice/awesome abilities ( Sanctum Custodian , Angelic Page)
Red seems hit or miss. The haste/EoT return to hand guys can be insane or blanks, (Viashino Sandscout , Viashino Cutthroat)and there are few midrange beaters, but the pingers are very nice along with Ghitu Slinger. Red removal is fantastic too.

I say Mortarpod over Into the Core because it leaves options open.
