Is this what other people were getting? I've tried the code with all Caps on & all Caps off & same outcome.
There seems to be some confusion on if you can actually remove/swap cards when you unlock new ones, or just add them to the existing deck?
So far the extra cards are just added to your deck. The decks start with about 50 cards each. I've only played the green one so far & I've gotten 2 extra blanchwood armor, 2 Wurm's Tooth a Molimo & a Karplusian Strider so far. After beating Chandra you get the red deck. Round 2 is Elspith, after beating her you can play her deck. Round 3 is Garruck. Round 4 is Liliana but you don't get her deck after beating her. Round 5 is Jace. You get his deck after beating him. Round 6 is Nissa. You don't get her deck after beating her. Then Round 7 is fighting Chandra with her using a better version of her deck. Round 8 is a better Elspith. That's where I've stopped for the night. I'll continue tomorrow. It seems that you'll get Lilianas' deck when you beat her the second time.
However it does raise a good question. Maybe I missed it, but can you unlock PW cards in Duels?
Not so far but I don't believe that it'll be possible. The decks are geared more like the precons from 10th edition. Nissa has a good elf deck with Coat of Arms. It will be nice once I've unlocked her deck to be able to play it.
Nissa is the 6th deck you face. The order is Chandra, Elspith, Garruck, Lilliana, Jace, Nissa. And then it looks like you face them again with their better decks & proply a better AI.
Guys, under settings, you can set the AI's skill level (Mage, Archmage and Planeswalker).
Sorry I just dove right into playing the game. I've waited too long to bother with checking the settings. I won game 2 against Elspith. She starts off very fast. Got me to 6 and she was at 24. But once my spider hit the board it stopped her flyers. Ended up her at -14, me at 14 due to natural spring.
First game, beat Chandra. She was at -16, I was at 2. Seems like the AI isn't that smart. I had a butt load of creatures and the computer sent over it's flying goblin every turn. Hopefully the AI will get better as it goes along. And the game didn't stop when she was hit the first time to go to -7. She kept getting hit and going further & further into the negatives.
Since I have a 2 o'clock dentist appt, I'm hoping that it will be available at 3 so that the game will get my mind off of the pain. And at least this way, I didn't have to interrupt the game by having to leave. And yes it sux that all of us that have already bought the game but can't play it yet, still can't the code for the Garruck while we're waiting.
That does sound fun. Do you know of a place where it could be downloaded?
I don't know of the game being downloadable but there are several available on ebay for about $10. When I just looked, I saw that there's one called Wizards War Chest that has Etherlords 1 & 2 + another game called Evil Island for about the same $10. Have fun & enjoy.
Any Magic: the Gathering fan that picks up an Xbox 360 to play this may also want to check out a game called Culdcept Saga. It can most easily be described as Magic: the Gathering meets Monopoly. I know it sounds weird, but it's very addictive and fun and really appeals to CCG fans. It's an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Another great computer game that is like Magic, just a little different is Ether Lords 2. Ether Lords 1 is okay, but part 2 is SO much better. 3 different levels of difficulty. But it's only for PC.
It would be funny then if this turned out to be Ritual of the Machine.;) I don't think it is, but there have been control cards in black. It's just doesn't go along with what they would want to do with a Core set. But as others have said, because of the background it does look more like a Red card. I just think it will be Threaten.
I'd say it looks possible at least to me that the Sphinx could be a Serra Sphinx off shoot. I know that would put two serra's in the set but its always a possibility but until we get all the info on this one its all just a guessing game.
That's the best guess I've seen for the Sphinx.:p Both cards will probably end up being new, but until we know for sure, it's fun to guess.
My favorite MTG card would be Kaalia of the Vast. This is most likely my most expensive deck, since every card in it either has altered art or it's a judge foil or painted. The 4badlands in it all have altered art. The 3 plateau all have been painted. The Wheel of Fortune is Judge foil, as well as Karakas. One of the last cards to make the cut was an altered art of Master of Cruelties.

It's a real foil card. Can't play with the PWs in the game, just their decks.
