Let's say you do swerve a counterspell onto itself - what happens when it resolves? Do you counter the spell, or is the countering effect countered, and then what?
you can't even swerve a counterspell onto itself, because of this rule exist
I'd suggest Trapmaster's Snare which will help you get out Archive Trap or help you find your U/W removal traps. There's another thread that discusses the benefits of adding Black for Haunting Echoes so this is something to consider as well.
yeah i've been thinking to insert Haunting Echoes to this deck, but i still don't have the card and i'm not sure about it lol.. Trapmaster's Snare's always good in decks with a lot of traps right?
I would recommend cutting Hedron Crab -and- Nemesis of reason for one reason:
They are your only creatures, and your opponent will no doubt have removal that would otherwise have been languishing as dead cards in hand that he will gladly use to take out your 4-8 creatures when you play them. Replace those slots with creature removal, fog effects, counterspells or other control measures that will help keep you alive long enough to realize your mill plan.
i don't have the budget to buy playset of Day of Judgement, and even Path to Exile, not yet.. i'm waiting for my payday lol
UW build seems interesting, but i'm kinda bored of UW control, because i play UW all the time lol... so i'm trying to play UB this time, or even esper color, perhaps? but thanks for the suggestion, i'll try to playtest it later
I would love to see Momentary Blink (or a similar old variant) though - of course, flashback is the problem there, but they could put expert mechanics in the new year sets.
yeah, blink effects are great...
i just love em
i'm hoping to see cryptic command reprinted in M10... is it possible? lol..
That would be a new variation of hybrid & a way of having 1 drops for each color. They could even have multiples of this with different names & different abilities for the color used in casting.
hmm.. let's see..
CARDNAME's color is the color/colors of mana you spent to play it.

ok maybe i'll try playtesting some games with it

thinking that blue counterspells getting weaker and weaker, don't you think that wizards hate BLUE?
Filigree Angel..??
Just great man...
love it
thanks a lot..:)
I have a attacking Rhox War Monk, and my opponent blocked it with a Nacatl Outlander...
The damage is prevented right? but do i gain life??
i don't think they'll make hybrid cards again for a while... maybe next year?
how about something that Wild Nacatl-ish?
As long as you control a green permanent, CARDNAME is green in additional to its colors.
or something like that...
can't wait till next month ;p
yeah, blink effects are great...
