So it's Cancel, a weaker Irenicus's Vile Duplication, Catalog, or any combination of the three if you have big mana.

It's a much better Duplication, since TSA can also copy artifacts. Thumbs Up

I hope so, it just feels like it'll be low impact as a 3-mana 2/2. But maybe not. I'm hoping it plays well. It feels like it will be a scary 5-mana card in midrange ramp decks though, where the opponent has to fear an Ugin or Ulamog if they kill it, but can't afford to ignore it either. But it's not a great rate for aggro, and it's not s good card to cheat into play, so it feels like a midrange card, which is what I meant by midrange card.

This is a pretty scary fatty. 6 power, 3 life and card draw is good ...doubling it up when it dies is even better. Very good with Sneak/Flash, and it makes for a better fatty in Oath decks than Hornet does. I'll test this guy out in that slot and see how it does.

I like that you can dig for mana/threats, put them into play, and protect them all with one card. And putting big creatures directly into play at instant speed is very scary. I'll likely test this one out.

I'm not as high on this card as most folks are here, but I do think it's a solid midrange threat that's scary for the opponent to kill because of the sprouting treasures. I'll likely test it, but I'm unsure if it'll wind up sticking around.

Maybe, but it's so rare that I find myself in a situation where Skyfisher forces me into bad tempo. I'm in situations far more often where the upsides matter (wanting the 3rd toughness, playing it on a turn where I don't have a land drop, etc) than ones where I'm forced to bounce something I don't want to bounce. It's not uncommon at all to play it on a turn where you don't have a land drop. In fact, I encounter those situations more often than I do when I don't want to return something at all. I'd rather have the option of bouncing a land when I need to than being forced to play it as a Suntail Hawk when I don't have a permanent to bounce. I can see that happening a lot, actually. Basically, being able to pull lands is important, because there's a huge number of times where it's not a drawback, and it also ensures I can get a meaningful creature out of my card.

I like Skyfisher more. The 3rd toughness and the ability to pick up lands are both important. When you don't have a land drop to make for the turn, Skyfisher can pick one up and put it back down, allowing it to be a 2/3 flying for 1 net mana without having to bounce another permanent you control to your hand. Plus it can reset Gemstone Mine counters, get Land Tax going, or otherwise return lands for other value, like Omnath and friends. Most importantly is the ability to ensure you can get a 2-power flying creature even if you don't have another nonland permanent to bounce. Skyfisher can always do that, and this card can't.

I could see playing this in addition to Skyfisher if you want more of these kinds of effects though; the 1-mana is definitely nice for blink decks.

No, Woodfall is great. I think people are comparing this favorably to the other green 7-drops.

Plot works well when playing Izzet tempo decks too, since you can cast it and protect it on the following turn. This is far and away the best variant we've seen on Kiln Fiend, and I expect it to play really well.

I like this card more than Rabbit Battery for the reasons Spicay mentioned. It's a great Saga target, increases the density of cheap equipment, and provides more universal sources of haste. The Ward bonus is a nice addition in the earlier stages of the game too. It does a more efficient job of turning your Isamarus into impactful topdecks than other effects like this that we've seen before.

Man, I really like this card. It's super flexible, can be played effectively at multiple spots in the cube, and shoehorns in rare clone/artifact copying effects. It does a good impression of like 5 solid potentially cubeable cards all wrapped up into one card. Stoked for this one.

This card looks great, and will definitely be one of the top-tier recursive black aggro creatures.

    Triomes

    OR

    Canopy Lands

    Thanks!

I prefer canopy lands + mix of various other things over triomes unless you're going in on domain. I like the Horizon Canopy cycle of lands more than any other cycle besides actual fetch / dual / shock.

Also, I prefer Restless Anchorage over Celestial Colonnade in a cube that has a heavy presence of monarch / initiative.

I agree with all of this. Horizon lands > Triomes, and Anchorage > Colonnade.

If I were forced into a situation where I can only run 1 uniform land cycle outside of fetch / dual / shock, I would snap pick a completed Horizon Canopy cycle.

    Yuuuuuuup.

I like these lands in testing so far ...but not more than Triomes. Unless you're actively trying to prevent multicolor control decks from being too good, Triomes are pretty sick lands.

    Channeler > Tidebinder > Seedshark > Mage

You're getting very different results because the cards function very differently from one another. It depends entirely on what kinds of decks you're trying to support.
