I don't know if anyone has said this and I don't care reading 11 pages. but how bout dual lands that come into play untapped but can use only 1 color on a certain turn.

    Example
(Tap): Add W only if it is your turn
(Tap): Add U only if it your opponents turn

Honestly this could become a real deck. Just needs some fine tuning and more ways to get Sun Titan out.

Billy is a nice guy but he is very cocky which you get used to with him. But yeah he was pissing me off that night. And I think me and my friend talked about it and are going to add Blue for Treasure Mage and some Counters. and then we can basically play Bant Titans including Frost. I think it could become a good deck it was really week to regular wolf run.

I usually never do a tournament report and this will be my first one but I felt the need to explain this amazing deck that my friend and I brewed in five minutes and went 4-1 in swiss and won the semis against a player that placed 5th at Texas States.

If you don't understand the combo to keep the lock on it goes as follow. Mindslaver them. Get it back with Buried Ruin, Attack with a Sun Titan, Targeting Buried Ruin. Rinse and Repeat. We had no reason for it I just saw he had Mindslaver and thought it would be fun to make a Lock deck then we realized we needed Sun Titan for it. So we made it G/W.
    19 People showing up.

    Matches:
    Match 1
I totally forgot who or what I played but I beat them in a quick Two games.

Match 2: Justin. Wolf Run Ramp
Notes: Not a good matchup for me due to we played a lot of similar cards and he ramped faster than me usually
    Game 1:
He had his perfect Curve. Turn 1 Birds, Turn 2 Growth, Turn 4 Solemn, Turn 5 Titan. The most I had was Gideon Jura which destroyed his Titan but he stall had his lands out and I could not get my Ghost Quarters out in time.
    Game 2:
A slower drawn out game. I destroyed all his Wolf Runs and Inkmoth Nexus becuase I brought in Acidic Slimes. I eventually destroyed his Wurm too and did Garruk Primal's ultimate ability.
    Record 1-0
    Game 3:
He kept remarking the time even though I play pretty fast and he takes forever to take his turns. I snickered at him when he played Turn 4 Primeval, Turn 5 Wurmcoil, Turn 6 Wurmcoil, Turn 7 Wurmcoil.
    Record 1-2

Match 3: Justin 2. Wolf Run Green
    Game 1:
I take care of all his threats Ghost quartering his wolf runs. (He did not search after I destroyed them which I didn't understand why. He's too competent of a player to not search.) I also kept throwing chumpers for Dungrove. I eventually lock him out with Mindslaver.
    Game 2:
I sided in Mirran Crusader of course. I have him in my opening hand and enough mana to play him Turn 3. I also had Gavony township. I evently made him a 10/10 and with one swing won that match.
    Record 2-1

Match 4: Terry Pettit. Mono Black Infect.
    Game 1:
I basically ramped up until I could play a White Sun's Zenith for 11 Tokens and got game 1.
    Game 2:
He had Phyrexian Crusader with a Lashwrithe on him. Nuf Said.
    Game 3:
I lock him out while I sit with 9 infect. i made 1 mistake that almost killed me but Recovered. This game was insanely close due to Skitheryx with a Lashwrithe.
    Record 3-1

    Match 5: Fernando Garcia.
I got paired down due to multiple matches ending in ties so he was 2-2 and he is a good friend so let me get the match to make top.
    4-1.

I had work in the morning and wanted to split so I could go home and crash.
But my opponent looked at who he was playing before telling the owners he wanted to play. Everyone else finally gave into him so we played.

Semifinals: Billy Carrol. Mono Red (Top 8 at Texas States)
Game 1: I was pissed because he likes to mess with me because I am just now started to learn competitive Magic really well. I kind of gave him that game cuz I was acting immature. Lost
Game 2: I kept and a very dumb hand but my draws were simply legendary involving Garruk, Sun Titan, Mindslaver, Primeval Titan. But I simply bashed instead of actually doing the lock. Won
Game 3: Had to Mulligan down to 5 but the five cards were really well i think it was Birds, Growth, 2 Lands and Day. from there we were both in top deck mode. my top decks were better than his but he did play a Manabarbs and I was only at 16 so I happily payed 6 life to play a sun titan getting back O Ring placing it on Koth. I beats and put him to 5. He gets risky plays another Koth and passes. i played Tree and pass. he knew I would eventually win so he tries to think I still don't know how to play so does Koth's -2 and plays Hero of Oxid Ridge and passes. I draw crap for a lil bit and passes. he draws another hero kills koth with the -2 and plays it again. I draw Oblivion Ring put it on Hero and proceed to win game. Even after I beat him he was still saying he should not have lost to me. I just brushed it off.

Overall I liked the deck but it needs more ramp spells and more sun titans. Great Night. so went 5-1 with a backpack mindslaver deck. Awesome Grin

I have tested the matchup of Birthing Pod and Caw Blade. Birthing Pod wins 60 percent of the time pre board and post board i'ts more like 65 percent going towards Birthing Pods. But I still like UB. The only thing it really loses to is Tempered Steel.

Well I wasn't mad about tainted strike yes it killed me but I am still trying to understand why he swung at me at all. A mono U player with Vendillion Clique as a general. You go after him. It's an edh league. You take out the biggest threat which is usually the freaking Mono U player.

What happened last night to me. I play a mediocre U/W deck with just bombs but nothing really game ending. I had Sphinx Ambassador on the field, the guy that just attacked me had a 9/5 flier (Idr the exacted card). I don't understand why he swung at me when there was a mono blue player that had combos in deck that we all know about. He should have swung at him with an empty board an no mana open. So i take the hit thinking i can take mine. and the Fourth player who has the best board puts tainted strike on the creature just so i die instantly. I wasn't really the threat and I wasn't going to swing at him at all. I think he should have swung at the mono blue player. And the other guy did not need to put tainted strike on the creature just to kill me. Oh that pissed me off. I call that a misread of the threat.

It's good for old standard. But Extended right now is way to fast for the deck. Fae doesn't need to worry about your early threats because it will overrun you before you can overrun it. And any type of Valakut deck doesn't really care either. I like the deck though but I honestly don't see it winning a lot at PTQ's. Oh and btw a great card to go with Djinn of Wishes is Lilliana Vess.

What you're missing is that Green is actually not great at putting artifacts in the graveyard,

I disagree sir, Creeping Corrosion destroys all artifacts on the field. So say for instance there was 4 artifacts and you dropped that after you played Fangren then you gain 20 life. Also another great Green artifact killer is Viridian Emissary. If i got 2 Fangren's in todays prerelease I am definatly going to build my deck around him. So yes I do think Fangren Maurader should be an uncommon. He's too good not to be.

I think one of the main problems with Phyrexian was that everyone figured they have to force infect.

I played Phyrexian and won my games with non-infect creatures. I had about 5 infect creatures in there more for utility cards like Virdian Corrupter and Rot Wolf. I plan on going to the release and doing the exact same thing.

Since they randomly distribute the Mythics in booster boxes before the boxes being sealed its up to you. I prefer with my friends putting them in a bag and let people pick out their packs one at a time.
