Last friday I played in a match where during the first game the time limit was called (55 minutes I believe; we were both playing selesnya control). The 5 turn rule was applied and my opponent won during those 5 turns, so the match record was 0-1. He was credited the same as a 2-0 or 2-1 win (it was entered on the computer at a 1-0 victory for him, but he got 3 points and i got 0). I always thought that if a complete match wasn't finished that it would be entered as a draw, whether it was 1-0, 1-1, or no games finished at all, but I can't find it in the comprehensive rules. Can someone clarify this for me, and perhaps point me to the exact ruling?
thanks!
so, official word is that both teams get 2 pre release packs of the guilds of their choice, each player makes a deck with their packs and play 2-headed giant. this is different then a regular 2 headed giant where each team would get 8 packs to share and make 2 decks from.
usually each team of 2 players gets 8 booster packs to make 2 decks.. any idea how this will work when the guild packs are sealed, 6 packs each? would each team get 1 of these plus 2 boosters? or does each player pick a guild, so 2 of the 6 packs each? (and perhaps not use all of them?) just speculation here, but does anyone know?
Here's a Tamiyo bust I made, she is about 6 inches tall -
My idea was to create busts of planeswalkers and use them as prize support for local tournaments (I help organize and run them at the LGS). We built a community cube by having players donate common/uncommons and cheap rare/mythics to build the cube and have it available during open shop hours to anyone interested in playing with it. We hold one tournament a month. The winner of the first tournament got to choose which planeswalker I sculpted/molded/casted, he picked Tamiyo.
These are a limited run of 100, and in a few months I'll allow a new winner to pick the next planeswalker for me to make.
when confidant was in standard during original ravnica, he was like $3. if he is reprinted in RtR, he'll start out high, like $30, then drop quickly to under $10, maybe as low as $5 if he doesn't see standard play.
a friend of mine who is obsessed with cubing (he'll spend all day simulating an 8 person draft by himself), swears by white sun's zenith over entreat and decree. it's because wsz is an instant and you can blow out your opponent by casting it at the end of their turn. it also shuffles back so you can do it again if your opponent survives the onslaught of kittens. entreat is best off miracle, which is too random to be reliable, and still gives your opponent a turn to answer before you swing.
i haven't read all of this thread, there is a lot! but i will share what i know with who are reading this.
hospitals don't "cure" disease, they treat the symptoms until the body heals itself. it is very cheap and easy to cure most diseases, so going the easy route won't make them any money.
about 4 years ago i went to a dr. b/c i had been feeling bloated and cramped for awhile (on and off for several years). he ran checks and said i was fine. not long after, i tried a product called MMS ([snip]). within 3 days, all the bloating was flushed out of my system and i have felt light and healthy since. i also would get stiffness/pain in my neck a couple times a year; this hasn't happened since taking the MMS. i still use MMS regularly, about once a month plus mixing a bit with toothpaste to brush my teeth 1-2 times a month. this is a very cheap product and the government wants to make it illegal b/c it works too well and threatens to put big pharma out of business.
so, yes, i do believe alternative medicines do work. not all of them, and a lot of scams give it a bad rap, but there are good products out there.

how long have you been dating? b/c you are only suppose to give her a gift for birthday and xmas the first year of dating, then nothing after that. seems horrible i know. just take her out to dinner and be a gentleman.
i don't have my cube list posted, but i have a 450 powered cube and my friend has a 720 powered cube that we play a lot. with mine it's mostly multi player and his is mostly single player. we both tried geist and he under performed. there were always enough defending creatures that he couldn't survive more then one attack. the problem is drawing him and being able to play him early enough and in the right circumstance; so he is no longer in either of our cubes. as for entreat the angels and bonfire, i have both in my cube, and in multi player they are very good; for the miracle cost or without. this makes sense b/c multi player games typically go to mid/late game and their effects hit harder. but this doesn't really apply for you.
you can often tell where the foils are, especially older ones, as they are thicker and foils in general are prone to bend. but they are all legal, so i guess being able to tell where cards are in your deck isn't a big deal to WotC
Great work man. Only thing I would say I don't like is her porcelain armor being so dirty and damaged, as one of the things I love about the white phyrexians is the very clean look they maintain.
thanks man, i did start by having a whiter coloring yet it looked cheesey and fake, so i went with a more worn, off-white look.
i highly suspect these aren't real volcanic island (or any of the other cards), because the entire card front is printed out and attached to another card. nobody has 200 volcanic islands (the # of his print run) to make these out of. that is the reason i would not allow these in a tournament.
thanks!
