Since vintage is essentially non-sanctioned, what if Wizards changed Legacy too MM forward, then turned Vintage into what Legacy currently is?
Why not just leave everything the same and start a new format independent of the 2. Though Vintage is mostly unsanctioned, it still is an amazing format that deserves to exist.
Why are people complaining how much "worse" this is than Extended? Very few people play Extended anyways and Dark Depths would be a top deck for years otherwise.
Depths still will retain a little value because of Legacy.
Ravinca Duals will drop a good amount, but not completely because of the rumored "super-extended."
Goyf will drop somewhat, but many people who play extended with them will probably start Legacy.
Just think o it as a massive rotation change of Standard price-wise.
I'll probably be playing R/G aggro (maybe with a splash) until Time Spiral rotates out. Ram-Gang, Bloodbraid, and Goyf all at the same time. Sign me up!
Titan can get Journey of Nowhere/Oblivion Ring and fetchlands back, so I like it already. Obviously worth the mana as much as good Cascade cards are. (Possible more because a 6/6 with Vigilance that gets more things back is good on its own.)
Dude Recall is probably best in a "Defender Control" deck. You can probably have a decent amount of creatures at once in that. Also can work with Thopter Foundry in Extended.
The part is when Mark outlines what each letter means in MTG card design. What "E" is may seem relevant here:
2) Used to represent a mechanic in Mirrodin that got cut during design. R&D likes it and we plan to find a home for it someday. (In fact, it's shown up in at least one other design.)
It is clear that the Leveler ability itself uses a letter code. So, the unknown mechanic in Mirrodin that uses "E" is likely Leveler.
My guess is that it can only attack when a (untapped?) creature is on the opponent's battlefield and must be blocked. Or it is a defender that makes a creature lose flying and attack.
The CMC probably relate to the comma part. The comma should go after word 4 in the sentence after. So i guess the CMC is 4.
I think it would be better if you add green and drop the excessive burn for BBE, Sprouting Thrinax, RBG dragons, and ramp. I know it seems like it would just be Jund, but done correctly it would be faster and more consistent.
Something like:
More changes would obviously be necessary. Maelstrom Pulse is another good removal option with the addition of Green. I don't like Fleshbag because Jund can sac a Thrinax, and control decks don't have much worth killing.
1. Your opponent feels that it would be best to let it live so he/she doesn't die, giving it pseudo-indestructibility. It then will quickly control the board until you kill it and (hopefully) win.
2. Your opponent realizes that you have many ways to kill it when it's drawback would be an issue, and decides that killing it soon would be the best way to play. In this situation, the drawback makes no difference.
3. Your opponent plays a Wall of Denial or Baneslayer Angel you cannot deal with making your Persecutor useless.
With those situations in mind, I have come to a simple conclusion. Abyssal Persecutor is good in any deck that has a lot of removal and is based around aggression with big creatures. Those decks can just side it out against UW control for Malakir Bloodwitch.
Someone went to 2 prereleases at the the same store I was at. In total he played in both sealed events and a draft pod. Just from the packs he got there, he got a playset of Jace.

I think it would be too inconsistent in any aggressive deck. Jund has too much removal.

Something like:
- 11 early game creatures
- 3 Earthquake
- 2 SGC
+ 2 lands
+ 4 Thrinax
+ 4 BBE
+ 3 2-Mana Ramp Cards
+ 2 Broodmate
+ 1 Karthus/Broodmate

No. Not every deck will be WW.
