The Chosen may hurt a little. I basically found myself dropping everything else to deal with them when they showed up and the game thankfully lets you get away with that by stopping the mission timers while they're around. You'll appreciate the Reaper as a class for Ironman - ridiculously good scouts and give you an almost excessive amount of information to plan.
Pay attention to how it treats other DLC when you start if you don't want the enemy monarchs - default is to include content without the intro missions. I will say the armor from the archon is one of my favorite pieces of equipment in that game. That combined with one of the new guns gives you an outright broken sniper (always have the high ground, death from above refunds a point when you kill an enemy, unique rifle only takes one action per shot). I could clear half the enemies in a mission in a turn with a single unit a few times.
I'm excited to try it out. I'm fine with broken snipers, I really miss the Archangel armor from the first game so that seems like the replacement but a rifle that takes one action per shot seems pretty busted.
I like a lot of the changes they made, particularly fatigue. A couple of the new things are borderline overpowered (like the katana that bypasses armor and has a 100% hit rate) but it overall feels like a deeper game. I'd definitely recommend it.

I will say I wasn't too thrilled with the expansion that had the super powerful enemies you can't turn off. You just have to skip the mission that spawns them. I'm typically doing Ironman and don't want to be randomly KO'd by an uber boss.

I can't decide if I want to swap out Tariel for Mathas in my cube. I already have Marchesa 2.0 as a political general in those colors, so maybe not? I am building a Mathas deck which I'll start playing next month, so I guess I'll see how that goes before I make any final decisions. The one game I've played so far with him heading the precon seemed interesting though.
I'm using Queen Marchesa, Kaalia and Alesha in mine. Never was too thrilled with Tariel.
How has Puca been treating you? Trades dried up for me.
Hit and miss and usually requires recips but trades have been steady for me. Picking up an OG foil Sensei's Top from the post office today and just got my last Blood Moon committed late last week. I checked out Cardsphere but seems like it has the same issue old Puca had where it was difficult to send out good trades to get points. I figured I would rather fight to get cards than send cards.
My online time has been getting spent hunting down cards mainly on Discord. Haven't built a new deck in a long time due to my playgroup mainly playing my commander cube. I am working on proxying it which will free up my collection for deck building so maybe get back into updating my decks and maybe building some more.
Considering adding Teferi's veil as additional wrath protection, seems like sweet tech. Anyone used it before? Also considering Notorious Throng, but not sure I'll have enough rogues... if only it triggered on spirits
I think that's a good call, lots of people had success with the card in Edric. Ghostway type cards is another option to consider.
Grand Abolisher, Dragonlord Dromoka, city of Solitude, Dosan, the Falling Leaf or if you must have them uncountable during opponents turn there's Teferi. Sure most don't stop Null Brooch and friends but that seems like it's splitting hairs.
Hard to say without playing the deck but I would be critical of 3 or more mana. Drawing 4+ cards a turn isn't as good when you can only cast 2 spells. Cards that I thought could go on first glance were Marang River Prowler, Aqueous Form and Spear of Heliod.
