Thanks, I might edit in some ideas before judging =P\
Edit: now let's hope im not the only person who enters something.
Edit 2: I just realized my last three entries, including the Un-card In your face.... have all revolved around Planeswalkers....XD
The Sanctum - These cards will be like Auras or Equipments, but exist as a new type of permanent that help buff up or alter the abilities of a planeswalker. While not a 100% new idea )we've heard of places like Serra's Sanctum) I kind of warp it into a completely new card type.
-Each Planeswalker will have their own sanctum, but some who share colors may be closely related due to the themes of their respective colors
-A Sanctum can be played at anytime during your turn, and if the related planeswalker isn't in play you *may* search your library to find it and put it in to play, via a kicker cost or something similar. When you bring a planeswalker into play via this search, it will come into play with 2 bonus loyalty counters on it. (I would do x2, but that would let some get their best abilities off as soon as they hit play.)
-Every single Sanctum has the same converted mana cost of 4CC, and this goes for the "kicker" cost as well, which will stand at 2C. To play the full ability of the card will then cost 6CCC
-Sanctum cards may be used as a Sacrifice to revive a Planeswalker that has fallen from taking damage from any source an opponent controls. (Like totem armor). They may NOT be used to revive a Planeswalker that was sent to the graveyard as a result of using up their Loyalty Counters on abilities. This ability is called ruin, to reflect that you have to destroy not a spell or creature, but a full, physical location. THe cost of using Ruin will be equal to the CMC of the Planeswalker it is saving, basically giving it a second chance.
-For fun/ To increase desire from collectors: Sanctum Cards may be handed out to the winners and top placers of DCI sanctioned events with full art/no text/ alt art, etc etc.
-Sanctum cards are standard in size, then when you decide to place one in your deck, you may only have ONE sanctum, period. No doubles of the same, no allowing two sanctums if your deck has two planeswalkers, etc. ONE ONLY. This *should* help prevent a major over powered-ness of any given planeswalker. You can still have different Sanctums in your sideboard to swap out when you need to, but that's it.
-Why would this be interesting? It gives a more detailed background to those players who don't read the novels, It can avoid things like Jace 2.0, and as of yet we don't have a any cards (off the top of my head) that directly affect planeswalkers.
Examples of Sanctum Cards (Working off of Lorwyn Planeswalkers only, to keep it limited and provide an example for each color)
Ajani Goldmane's Sanctum:
Village in Qasal Valley4WW
Sanctum {M}
-When ~ Enters play, if you do not control a Planeswalker named Ajani Goldmane, you may pay 2W. If you do, search your library for one and put it in to play with two additional loyalty counters on it.
-Ajani's first ability gives you 4 life instead of two
-Ajani's second ability also grants creatures first strike
-Ajani's ultimate ability costs 8 instead of 6, and brings two avatar tokens into play instead of one.
-Ruin: 2WW
This village is home, and while the people may not appreciate me, I do not require it in order to help them.
-Ajani Goldmane
Chandra Nalaar's Sanctum
Cave in Valakut4RR
Sanctum {M}
-When ~ Enters play, if you do not control a Planeswalker named Chandra Nalaar, you may pay 2R. If you do, search your library for one and put it in to play with 2 additional Loyalty Counters
-Chandra's first ability does 3 damage instead of 1.
-CHandra's Second ability may be divided among multiple creatures
-Chandra's Ultimate ability costs 10 to activate, and does 20 damage instead of 10.
-Ruin: 3RR The rage and fury of this mountain is nothing compared to that of my soul. - Chandra Nalaar
Garruk Wildspeaker's Sanctum:
The Forests of Krosa4GG
Sanctum {M}
-When ~ Enters play, if you do not control a planeswalker named Garruk Wildspeaker, you may pay 2G. If you do, search your library for one and put it in to play with two additional loyalty coutners on it.
-Garruk's First ability may untap up to 4 lands instead
-Garruks Second ability puts a 4/4 Beast into play instead
-Garruk's Ultimate ability costs 6, and grants creatures +5/+5 instead
-Ruin: 2GG Do the true challenges of nature that I have searched for reside here? - Garruk Wildspeaker
Jace Beleren's Sanctum:
Jace's Library4UU
Sanctum {M}
-When ~ Enters play, if you do not control a planeswalker named Jace Beleren, you may pay 2U. If you do, search your library for one and put it in to play with two additional loyalty counters on it.
-Jace's first ability, players may draw two cards instead of one.
-Jace's second ability: If chosen player is the owner of Jace, they may draw three cards instead of one, if not, player still draws one card
-Jace's ultimate abilty costs 12 instead of 10, and target player puts the top 30 cards into their grave yard instead of 20.
-Ruin: 1UU Be careful, I keep more than just books here. Remember, memories can be more powerful than anything written upon a scroll. - Jace Beleren
Liliana Vess' Sanctum:
Tomb of the Veil4BB
Sanctum {M}
-When ~ enters play, if you do not control a planeswalker named Liliana Vess, you may pay 2B. If you do, search for one and put it in to play with 2 additional loyalty counters on it.
-Liliana's first ability can make a player lose a life if they have no cards in their hand
-Liliana's second ability places the card into your hand
-Liliana's third ability costs 10, and grants creatures returned to play deathtouch.
-Ruin: 3BB This...this I must use to break free. -Liliana Vess
Edits:
1.Took off Enchantment as that removed it from being a new card type. Potentially more broken? yes, but they could make cards to combat Sanctums.
2.Increased the mana cost to 4CC, now costs 9 total mana to play the card to its fullest, thats a LOT of mana
3. Added the keyword Ruin to all sanctums, explanation above.
4. Removed the idea that Sanctums be printed as oversized cards.
If you post too many ideas we wont have any of our own to use, just stick with the battlefield example (Even though it feels really close to a planechase card, just expanded upon). Also,
The card types are magic dogma and should not be messed with, least ways that's how I see it.
We did just see two new card types emerge within a year no? Planechase and Schemes.... And Planeswalkers... well Lorwyn isn't even 5 years old yet is it? And look how much we've come to love our overpriced and sexy planeswalkers?
Anyways, I shall return when I have an idea.
Edit: My idea is Sanctum Cards, something for Planeswalkers, you'll see. Just claiming it now.
In Your face, Jace2R
Enchantment [R]
If you control planeswalker named Chandra and your opponent controls one named Jace, you may counter the first blue spell opponent casts each turn.
I never though I'd see the day when Chandra Nalaar chose mind over heart.
- Jace Beleren
Pashupatastra, Might of Shiva3WWW
Enchantment - Aura {M}
~is indestructible
~May only be played on white legendary creatures.
Enchanted creature becomes a planeswalker with 6 loyalty counters on it, and has the following abilities:
+2: Destroy Target Planeswalker or legendary creature
-X: Redeem a creature from any graveyard with converted mana cost of X
(When a creature is redeemed, return it to play under your control. If it is not a white creature, it becomes white, ignoring its previous colors.)
-10: Destroy all lands and creatures in play
I must strive to uphold the dharma, and cast out all those who might try to defer me from the path
" The Pashupatastra is the irresistible and most destructive personal weapon of Shiva discharged by the mind, the eyes, words, or a bow. Never to be used against lesser enemies or by lesser warriors, the Pashupata is capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings"
"it can be used only to uphold Dharma"
Dharma: "In the context of Hinduism, it means one's righteous duty, and a Hindus's dharma is affected by the person's age, class, occupation, and gender. In modern Indian Languages it can be equivalent simply to religion, depending on context. The word dharma translates as that which upholds or supports, and is generally translated into English as law."
Explanation of Mana cost and other game related ideas:
- Can only be cast on White creatures in favor of the law/justice aspect
- Can only be cast on Legendary creatures as it cannot be "Used by lesser
warriors.
- Higher mana cost to kind of counter the fact that it has so many loyalty counters.
-It is an aura instead of an artifact as it can be cast through a number of different mediums (Mind/eyes/words/bow)
-It is white as that is the color that strives for morality/justice/all that good stuff.
Explaining the Planeswalker abilities/amount of counters:
-Why 6 counters? It's abilities cant be used much, so this kind of speeds it up to get to 10 just that much faster.
+2, Its only a two and not one because as it can only target 2 very limited things, it won't be using the ability a lot.
-X, Admittedly, more of a filler ability. But can help finish the game if used after the final ability.
-10, This will be a very late game ability, and once used *should* completely decimate the playing field. It costs so much as it is basically taking *** and Armageddon and making one ability. the two cards have a CMC of 9, upped it by one as they are coming together.
In the end, defending against any potential arguments that it is undercosted, when I look at this card, I think it has a very niche appeal, and would probably only see good play in an EDH format
Why Indian Mythology? Because over 50% of the entrances are going to be "White/Caucasian" mythology, figured I'd spice it up a little bit. Get it? Spice? and it's Indian? haha.... oh me....
My inspiration was basically taking Loam Lion (white with benefits from green) and making him... cooler, the Green is where you get the helping beasts aspect.
Plagued LionB(W/G)

Beasts you control have deathtouch.
Whenever a beast is put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may put a +1/+1 counter on ~

If you played a creature spell this turn, take control of X target creatures your opponents control that share a creature type with it. You lose one life for each creature taken this way. All creatures taken this way gain +X/+X, where X is the total amount of life lost.
Kicker - 2B
If you paid the kicker cost, creatures taken this way gain deathtouch and lifelink
Enter the Junkyard X2
Artifact - Rare or Mythic
-When ~ enters play, put X charge counters on it. All players exile their hands and libraries from the game and skip their draw steps
-For the next X turns, players may play cards from their graveyards.
-Players remove non permanent cards played this way from the game after they resolve.
-Remove 1 charge counter from ~ at the end of your turn. When ~ has no counters on it remove it from the game, all players return their hands and libraries from exile
Making the useless useful again, if only for a little while.
-Art: Show something from Mirrodin sifting through a massive junkyard (since we are going back to Mirrodin anyway)
Curses for missing Deus' post. oh well.
(I like this as an artifact because I can keep it going with Energy Chamber XD)
Hopefully this doesnt too closely mimic anything posted before, sorry if it does
Edit: If I may put in more input "Sword of the Pacifist" could make it sound better. and have it be a very ornate looking sword covered in jewels, more ceremonial than war like.
This deck originally was a ramp beat down that was out of standard but over time I'm trying to turn it into a token deck that is standard eligible. The transition while I have acquired cards I need has gone smoothly, and even in this intermediary phase I think it still does well casually. I know somethings I'd like to take out, but for what... I don't know. So here's the deck as it is currently:
This will be my first official standard deck, most others have at least 1 or 2 cards that take them out of standard. At the moment the deck is Eldrazi with pure green support, however I wish to add some blue as well, I just don't know what to get rid of. The deck is purely hypothetical and I miss many of the cards I'll need to construct it. Thanks for any help/criticism ahead of time.
As it is now, this should seem like a beatdown/overrun deck. Here's what I want to add in with Blue, as well as a couple other greens i couldnt find room for.
more Green Bear Umbra, Obvious, get lands out, cast big creature, attack with enchanted... blah blah Broodwarden, help buff up spawn while I wait.] Bramblesnap. leery on this one, it could help while I wait if I have amassed enough tokens to make this work, but not enough to sac for a big eldrazi Growth Spasm, has potential but seems like it costs too much.
*Replace Llanowar Elves with either birds of paradise or lotus cobra if I add blue(probably birds as they're cheaper)
I also thought about including a Spellbook, as it seems I would just be drawing tons of cards.
Anyways... should it stay green? would adding blue ruin the focus of the deck? Like I said thanks for any and all input.
Edit: now let's hope im not the only person who enters something.

Lighthouse Chronologist, to give myself the extra turn to help get stuff out faster (Despite its slow lvl up)

Treasure Hunt
more Green
Bear Umbra, Obvious, get lands out, cast big creature, attack with enchanted... blah blah
Broodwarden, help buff up spawn while I wait.]
Bramblesnap. leery on this one, it could help while I wait if I have amassed enough tokens to make this work, but not enough to sac for a big eldrazi
