Wasn't this thread supposed to be renamed to Season 4 when the new forum was up and running?

    AFAIK:
I think GLJ said he wasn't going to do start another one. Several people mentioned it wasn't worth starting another one until the new forums started.

So I think it's probably open to whoever wants to do it. Though, personally, as long as GLJ is still keeping the MTGS player list updated, I see zero reason to start another thread just to increment the season number when nothing meaningful to the main post has really happened from Season 3 to Season 4.

I said rename, not make a new thread. I'm sure it would be quite simple to ask a moderator or a forum admin to just change the 3 to a 4 in the thread title. I'm sure that making a new thread would be pointless since this one has, what, over 7000 post. Why break something that's already working? Only thing needed is a small name edit and everything should be fine.

My bad, I had the wires crossed in my brain as someone had been asking for a new thread some many pages back. I would propose just eliminating the season number from the thread title altogether, else we'll just be in this situation again next year.

On an unrelated side note, Morello recently commented on Dominion. Ranked Dominion is not coming and will not happen. Kind of a bummer, but not surprised.

So i reported someone by accident. I meant to report someone else. What happens ? Also what's with the random frame rate drops as of the new patch ?

Same thing as all reports. Nothing. (Pessimism - I has it.)

Seriously though, you've gotta rack up a LOT of reports or have a history before anything even goes to Tribunal. Don't worry about it.

Anyway to tell if I'm playing with a premade during champ select ? I can't stand them. 90% of the ones I get on my team are awful. Why do I always get stuck with the bad premades and not the other team.....

    I use kassad.in.

Neat, this one had been on my radar for awhile earlier on, but somehow I had forgotten about it. Good to hear a positive review. Is there an ETA for the second half?

If your deck doesn't work anymore because of the banning of one single card then your deck wasn't any good to begin with. Rolleyes

Unless it's your Commander that gets banned Wink

Precursor Golem is definitely solid in EDH. Single target removal being copied comes up a lot less frequently than you would think. A lot of the popular single target removal in the format comes with a drawback in order to justify it's versatility. Things like Beast Within, Chaos Warp, and Path to Exile.

Yes Japan is crazy about mobile gaming right now. It's way more popular there then here.

Mobile gaming is still quite popular in the West, just the majority of it is done on phones and tablets.

In my eyes, that's why Nintendo has hit this recent hard patch. They made the decision to focus on the casual gamer, and that worked great during the Wii era. Nintendo made a killing on the emerging casual market. But casual gaming has radically changed since then. It has largely moved to mobile devices. And even then, why buy a separate piece of hardware to play games on the go when you can get them on your phone/tablet?

Try a 5-color land themed deck. It's my oldest surviving Commander deck and I don't think it'll ever head to the scrap-heap. Twelve card Scapeshift grabbing every ridiculous utility land is always fun!

Going with "you're a whiner". There are bad breaks in MtG. Opponents worth their salt will capitalize on those bad breaks.

When presented with this situation, whining gets you nowhere. You do not improve as a player. You do not improve as a deckbuilder. Instead, you should either write it off as tough luck and/or examine your plays/deck and see if there was anything you could have done to prevent this. Based off of the info in the OP, it sounds like your manabase might be getting too greedy for a 3-color deck.

Actually, it's best to wait till MTGS beta comes out. Then we can post a new thread about S4 Smile
On the topic of trolls/ragers. Why is it that the moment a mistake happens, it's "GG"? You can always try and come back from it.

I'd say the attitude is a trickle-down effect from high level play, where one or two mistakes usually do decide a game, or at least a lane, on Summoner's Rift. I want to jump in with you and call these people quitters, but it's hard to fault them. There just aren't very many comeback mechanics available in this game mode. And the better your competition, the less likely it is they'll let you get back in the game once you're down.

    My official-annual-start-of-the-season-Riot-sucks-complaint-post:
Another season starts, another season of no Dominion ranked. It's nearly 2.5 years since Riot posted "Ranked is done, we're just waiting to turn on the switch". Yup... Oh but wait, just received news that they might use the Crystal Scar for an upcoming featured game mode! /wrists

    Definitely agree.

The benefits far outweigh the 'gathers dust outside of spoiler season', which really isn't much of a downside anyways.

I was just getting started on brainstorming some ideas for a similar type of deck. Good timing, and this definitely looks like a good start.

I really like your addition of Stony Silence and Null Rod. Perfect answer to artifact ramp that would dodge your Geddons. It's a bit of a shame that Skullclamp would be great card draw in here. Equipment in general would be great to boost up your weenies.

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Glowrider are potentials, but probably need more creature-heavy builds. Thorn of Amethyst is one to consider as well.

Loxodon Gatekeeper functions as another Kismet. It's of course easier to destroy, but it triggers Karametra and can punch people too.

If you want to get more staxy, I think Smokestack could work. World Queller perhaps too. These two will shut down a game quick after an Armageddon effect. Tangle Wire is a bit of a reverse effect, but is one to consider.

Seedborn Muse is nice when combined with the Orbs & Wires. Nature's Will works along the same lines.

As to win-cons, Karametra herself might be able to get there. You'll likely be able to get enough devotion to turn her on. Sun Titan is great and can recur land. Despite the mana cost, I'd say he's a definite in. Crovax, on the other hand, nukes your mana elves. I'd say definite out. Angel of Jubilation might be one too look at if you really want an Anthem effect, though she doesn't play nice with a couple of your current cards.

Natural Balance and Restore Balance seem like cards I *wouldn't* want to run. At the rate you'll be blowing up everyone else's lands and ramping up your own, it seems like you would always be the guy coming out behind when these hit. Can you explain these?

YMMV, but I'm usually not a fan of Oblivion Ring in multiplayer EDH. Could maybe be swapped for Oblation or Unexpectedly Absent.

EDIT: Kor Skyfisher is another good creature for Karametra abuse.
