Nov 30, 2017Ertai Planeswalker posted a message on If You Can't Take Criticism of Jeremy Hambly, You're Part of the ProblemI don't know what happened with the female gamer / cosplayer exactly, and it's probably not a coincidence this article comes up when the mothership just had a part about harassment as well. And even though I agree with the author's perspective about the uprise of "acceptable nazism" or however you want to call it, this site is not the right place for a piece such as this. If I want serious, soecietal critiscism, I'll visit a website that gives it to me or the political debate subforum. I come here for some relaxation and distance of all life's seriousness to enjoy Magic.Posted in: Articles
No matter how much I agree with the article, please don't post something like this on the site again. -

I agree with the (nameless one) that a strategy based on Prismatic Omen seems to have more merits. In addition, I would run 4 Crystal Quarry instead of a whole slew of non-basics so the mana base is more reliable and less slow. That would enable the deck to actually defend itself reliably in the first few turns so you can actually get it all online.
I can see this deck going green/white or green/blue at it's core, while building up to the fist with the omen or the quarry. From there, proceed with Eldrazi or other big spells for the win.
As for a design, here's my concept without an extra turn:
Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre 10
Legendary Creature - Eldrazi
When Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre comes into play, exile up to three target permanents other than Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre.
Annihilator 2
When Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre is put into a graveyard from anywhere, exile it.
At the end of any turn, if Ulamog, The Infinite Gyre is exiled, return it to play under it's owner's control.
10/10
That's quite Infinite right there. No matter what you do it will always come back.
Judging from the artwork, I can see the Emeria one having flying but other than that, there's no real reason to assume she has anything to do with angels or reanimation. Same goes for Ulamogg.
PS: I love the idea of a big creature with a timewalk stamped on. Especially since it's got annihilator.
The other card i was thinking about is Spreading Plague. Such a card would be a bomb for an all-colorless Eldrazi deck and even though flavorwise the plague was the Phyrexian plague, it could be bend to the Eldrazi plagueing the land or somesuch.
Barry's Land
Basic Land - Mountain Island Swamp Plains Forest Barry
Barry's Land cannot be tapped for colored mana.
would work just fine. It's worse than a basic because it only produces colorless mana, but it's advantage is the 6th type for decks that can use that.
Nevertheless, people said the same thing about Bolas, and yet he got a card. It's very much possible that an Urza card would depict him in the same time as the Mishra card did mishra; when they were still learning their trade.
Another old planeswalker gone for good...
One way or another, I am going to abuse Prismatic Omen with the whole cares about land type thing. It's probably nowehere near competitive, but if all the lands in the Valakut/Emeria cycle are that good, making a 5 color deck with prismatic omen and all these kick ass lands for a multiplayer deck seems to much fun to pass up.
If her second ablility is a personal wheel of fortune and her third an obliterate effect like people mentioned before, then she'd be quite a cool walker to build a deck around.
She'll obliterate everything, then provide you with the control and card drawing power to recover more quickly then your opponent.
Or a second ability -4: Ruination. That would give monored something against 5cc.
Tondor, Guardian of the Sanctuary 2WU
Planeswalker - Tondor
Tondor cannot be attacked except by creatures with flying or islandwalk.
[+0]: Gain 3 life
[+1]: Put a 1/1 white pegasus creature token with flying into play.
[-7]: Put X 1/1 white pegasus creature tokens with flying into play, where X is equal your life total.
Loyalty 3
Fugis The Ethereal 1BU
Planeswalker - Fugis
Prevent all damage that would be dealt to Fugis The Ethereal by creatures.
[+1]: Target creature is unblockable until end of turn.
[-1]: Unil the beginning of your next turn, creatures neither deal nor receive combat damage.
[-3]: All creatures you do not control phase out.
Loyalty 3
Aggren, warmonger. 2RR
Planeswalker - Aggren
[+1]: Put a 3/1 red barbarian creature token with haste into play.
[+1]: Target creature you control gains double strike until end of turn.
[-4]: Untap all creatures you control. They gain vigilance until end of turn. This turn, there are two additional combat phases followed by two additional main phases.
Loyalty 3
M10GWland:
Land
T: Add G or W to your mana pool. Unless you control a forest or plains, M10GWland does not untap during your next untap step.
Seems relatively simple and it only hurts you if you use it's mana on the first turn when this is the land you play.
True, and even if it isn't tier 1 competitive, it's fun for casual play.
