A few posts back you mentioned that you had cut Baru, Fist of Krosa from the deck for Mirage Mirror. however, if you take these two cards and add Paleoloth (Which I think you should run anyway as it's great value) you have a cool infinite combo for closing out otherwise uncloseable games:

1: Baru, Fist of Krosa, Mirage Mirror, Paleoloth and at least 5 lands in play
2: Mirage Mirror copies Baru, Fist of Krosa, sacrifice Baru, Fist of Krosa due to legend rule.
3: Play any creature with power 5 or more to get Paleoloth to trigger. Return Baru, Fist of Krosa back into your hand.
4: Discard Baru, Fist of Krosa to Mirage Mirror's grandeur ability to get a 5+/5+ Wurm token.
5: Paleoloth triggers on the Wurm token entering the battlefield, return Baru, Fist of Krosa from your graveyard to your hand.
6: Go back to step 4.

posted a message on Very close to the return to new phyrexia
Another option to tie the stories together is that Bolas needs something from Ravnica that will help him control the Phyrexian oil. This could give both team Karn and the Gatewatch a common goal in defeating Bolas, since it would end the Bolas threat AND initiate the first step in preventing the Phyrexians spreading. Remember, we don't know everything Jace read in Azor's mind. Perhaps when Karn tells Jace about the Phyrexians something clicks for Jace, and he realizes Bolas's plans are even more layered then he thought. That something could be something that somehow kickstarts the Phyrexians as an interplanar threat, which then falls in both team Karn's and the Gatewatch's segment.

Honestly though, I think it's more likely that after Bolas is defeated, the now free Tezzeret assumes the role of father of machines (he is already immunized to the oil). Given the planar bridge in his arm, he is the one that can make the Phyrexians interplanar. It would be a perfect fit too, as he has no qualms with "improving" himself mechanically. Could make for a nice hook to revisit Alara too, as the recipe for recreating etherium has been rediscovered now. Tezz could try to create his own army of super soldiers with etherium augmented phyrexians with built in planar bridges - or make that a return of the sleeper agents.

If you self admit you are Speculating on the story..well there is a thread for that.
As far as the Race thing goes...probably a lot of us here just arent Framing things in that context because we either dont care about things like that in trying to put identities on people and the assumptions therin, just dont care enough to notice, or dont see the "problem" as you do. I fear you are wittingly or possibly unwittingly baiting a topic that just might not be appropriate in the context of the MTG world which may have started out a little thin on diversity (though that could be argued) but recently seems to encompass a pretty wide variety of characters (even if some think it may be a little late you cant deny the effort. So I just dont get the complaint.

That's basically the problem with the whole race/gender issue these days: the legitimate battle for emancipation has already been fought and won (and rightfully so) but now it's the people of that race/gender trying to use it as an excuse for better treatment (aka "positive discrimination"). The irony of it is that this basically boils down to them wanting race/gender to matter if it benefits them, but not otherwise - which is exactly what they claim they oppose - and then act surprised and offended if the other group replies in kind. Either race/gender matters or it does not, period.

As for the topic at hand, Teferi is one of my favorite characters so seeing him take the oath makes me feel very happy as that implies he doesn't just return, but is here to stay.

    A few thoughts
    1. Dominus of Fealty, while tough to cast, really fits the deck.
    2. Chandra's Ignition (on a buffed Yasova) will often be a 1 sided boardwipe.
    3. Insurrection seems like a good, on theme finisher for this deck.
    4. Goblin Bombardment is another great sac outlet to run, better than Makeshift Munitions imo.
    5. All is dust, while powerfull, will also kill Yasova. Maybe there are enough other options?
    6. Hero's Blade seems like an auto-include. It buffs Yasova to 7, equips for free and plays nicely on curve. The card is not played as often as it should be in gernal, but this deck really wants it!

Also wondering: what are Shardless Agent and Bloodbraid Elf doing for you in this deck? And Taurean Mauler and Managorger Hydra? They are good cards, but I don't see their added value for this strategy in particular.

I feel exactly the same, and I have found Jumbo Commander to be exactly what I want. Became a patron recently too. He’s got a good tempo and gets enthousiastic enough to get you excited for cards or decks, but without the over the top “oh my god”s all the time and without every like third word like being like.

Also, symbolism is strong in Magic art. If you only look at the visual clues that were depicted on Ixalan cards about the whole Ugin/Azor involvement and how Jay13x pieced almost the whole story together based on a few art clues... details like this matter. There is no such thing as coincidence in magic art.

As far as late game gas goes, the new Arch of Orazca seems like a good include. I've also grown really fond of Conqueror's Galleon because it offers so much relevant abilities at so little opportunity cost for the late game.
