How exactly did you get this result? I've tried some various things online and can't recreate what you've discovered so far.

I've got some decryption software for basic ciphers. There are transcription errors in each of the codes people have written down, but they're only a few letters, and the card name is short a few letters. The last polishing was good ol' forum-trained 'there are typos in this, but I can still read it.'

Cleaned up, and [don't know what the text after the P/T is] Never mind, it says 'Conspiracy'. The logistics of this are crazy.

    Cogwork Librarian (4)
    Artifact Creature - Construct
Draft Cogwork Librarian face up. As you draft a card you may draft an additional card from that booster pack. If you do, put Cogwork Librarian into that booster pack.
    3/3

Okay, ran the center section from Bugsy through some cipher software:

artifact creature cqnstruct draft cogwork librarian face up as you draft a card you may draft an additional card from that booster pack if you do put cogwork librarian into to at booster pack

Hmm... This looks like a Magic card!

Public Execution and Veilborn Ghoul are listed in Liliana's decklist in today's Zac Hill article. No numbers, but both have to be black.

Hey everyone! Thanks for providing all of these boxes. Smile

Tremulant: The way it used to work [Back before New Phyrexia] after 20-30 boxes, we could cobble together a full map for a large set, with a few small errors. It took more like 60-70 boxes for MBS. However, Wizards has changed the collation process, and it's more difficult now.

I've been very busy with real life stuff and other Magic business for the last few releases, but someone will be working on the data provided. The more boxes we get [with the region information] the faster and more accurate any eventual map will be. So please keep posting boxes.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the boxes. Smile I won't be able to contribute much time to the project in the near future, but the more data [Especially helpful is print location/language] the better! The DFC map will probably be the easiest to work out, but if the rare sheet is anything like MBS, we're looking at two 121-card sheets.

Fiend Hunter only takes out creatures. Oblivion ring takes out non-land permanents. Huge difference there. I could see having both available, but that might leave White a bit removal-heavy in Limited.

Overall, a lot of good thoughts on the hypothetical core set. Great read.

Looks like about 27 cards per color. And I concur with Magical Samurai, Nearheath Stalker looks more like 100.

I don't, but do remember to take into account MTGO redemptions. Those do add a notable number of rares to the tournament scene, and provide a small trickle of supply after the set is out of print.

Bitterblossom was #1 G11. It does indeed appear to be Goblin Welder.

69DCI appears to be Full Art Priest of Urabrask, and 70DCi appears to be Full Art Myr Superion.

2 uncommons in the same pack sounds like a manufacturing error. They do happen sometimes.

When a pack has been resealed, it's usually VERY easy to tell. It opens differently, it looks different, etc. I doubt anyone tries to do this anymore.

In terms of box mapping, MBS was the last set where there is any public information on mapping it. That is, it's doable. Unless one of your phyrexian crusaders was foil, that box was most likely tampered with. Did you receive that box sealed, or already opened?

Stardust: your math is misleading. The chance of pulling a specific rare should be separate from a Mythic, as it's always twice as likely to pull said rare than said mythic. [With rounding error] Also, DFCs account for the difference in numbers in Innistrad, and you lump them in with the normal cards. In fact, a specific rare in Innistrad is 1/60.5 boosters, and a specific mythic is 1/121 boosters, same as any large set.

Magic has had steady price raises regularly throughout its history, but it's a bit early for another one now and they've never been greater than $0.50 in the past; a whole seventy cents would be pretty huge. I find that particular level of hike, so soon after the last one, very implausible.

Also, given Valarin's particular posting history on this forum I'm definitely loathe to trust him as the source on this one.

This is the exact reaction I had by the end of Page 1. I'm not going to be bringing this rumor up at my LGS.

Ahaha, oh man. Valarin's sideshow here is one of the more entertaining things I've read this week.

On topic: More anecdotal evidence, but my two favoured LGSes had their strongest pre-release weekend yet, and have had a fair number of players pick up boxes when they usually abstain from any sort of singles or product purchase from a new set. Various non-tournament casual groups around my city have been snapping up product like crazy, and love the DFCs. Several 'pro-level' players I know hate the set and its limited environment, but they are far outweighed by the many new and returning players who love it.

I'd say this set turned out to be a great success in my area.

Sorry for the lack of responses, everyone. Between prerelease and release things got very busy for me, and then had some urgent issues to deal with. Sometime over the next day I'll start trying to compile things into a spreadsheet [Thanks WeQu for starting that Smile ] I have two boxes of my own to toss up as well.

Thanks to everyone for their box contributions! Please keep them coming, as the more data we get, the more precise a map can be made [if possible].

    Notes:
    - I have solid evidence that a double non-foil Garruk box was opened. That means that the DFC may have two 121 card tracks. This will make it tricky to map, but should still be possible.
