Teferi may not have actually lost his spark when he sealed the Zhivian rift. It'd be kinda a callback that he was rendered a NeoWalker and just didn't know for years, like what happened when he sparked the first time.

Also, concerning the date between Vraska and Jace... when you are a powerful, hardened, veteran killer fighting regularly in medieval worlds, you can't understand or be appealed by the concept of dating, that's just silly.
Call it a rendez-vous, a meeting, a briefing, an attack plan or whatever but not a date, that's ridiculous Laughing

None of those are appropriate terms for a casual night on the town.

English is not my native language but "meeting" seems good enough.
The point wasn't to find an appropriate term anyways, just to not call this a date.

Considering "date" is in her vocabulary, why wouldn't she use it? Also we're talking about the same woman who reads history books and memoirs, and goes to different worlds to collect decorations for her flat, in her spare time. Vraska isn't a simple character. For all we know (as I don't remember if this is canon or not), she might have entertained the notion before, but thought it'd never work because of who she is and what she does.
Vraska did mention she hadn't been on a date in a while in one of the stories, The Race, part 1 I think.

Vraska reading a memoir, Jace's favorite genre.

Even without the memory of him, Vraska somehow compensated. I love tiny details like that.
I hope when/if she meets Tezzeret she feels the need to petrify him, without knowing why.

I wonder if we'll get a dual storyline, like how they dealt with the Jace/Vraska plot line running along side with Huatli/Angrath/Planar Natives. We'll get Lilliana and Gideon taking on the demon while Karn, Jhoria and Teferi do something else(Geting the skyship up and running, fighting the Cabal, ect) with the two running into eachother before the end.

I don't possess the art book, but reading this forum makes me wonder.... Why they write this artbooks with the glaring differences from the story then presented through the articles?! I mean, I can understand (however I don't) when all those inconsistancies between cards, precedent canon and the set novels happened, (like in Scourge) because the cards were created by the people at Wizards and the novels were written by some external authors... but if now the artbooks, the cards and the story all are created in house by Wizards, why there are all these discrepancies? It looks like if the different teams working on a set never communicate one another... are things changed just at the last minute, when the artbook is already in print? They change them a bit too avoid too many spoilers? Who knows...
I really wish these things get ironed out. I can handle some things not getting mentoned in the story, like how High and Dry came into being, but when we have two or more very different story path, it sends the message that Wizards doesn't seem to care about the story

They really do need to streamline creative. I think the best way to go abiut things would be to write the story, or at least a somewhat detailed outline, then go into doing the art and flavor text.

You know, I really hope that after the mindwipe, Vraska just feels compleate and utter hatred for Tezzeret she can't explain.

Can we please actually have Jace and Vraska be a thing (enough with the mind wipe retardation. Seriously read his Wiki Jace's mind is just a whiteboard as many times as its been erased).

I 100% agree with this. I in general find amnesia to be a rather lazy plot device.
And of all the ladies Jace has had tease with, I would be ok with having Vraska be the one who actually gets with him in the end... Because she displayed genuine chemistry with him (as opposed to, say, Liliana just up and deciding she was into him at one point) if nothing else.

I'm rooting for Jace/Vraska but I actually like the idea of Jace wiping Vraska memory, since it opens up some interesting story paths. Assuming that Jace either uploaded Vraska's memory into himself, or buried it deep emough for Bolas not to see it/bother looking for it, Jace has an ace in the hole for the final confrontation, just restore Vraska's memory and boom, one stone dragon.

I so hope Jodah is going to be prominate/get a card in Dominaria. The Gathering Dark and Eternal Ice were my first foray into Magic's story.

Really? Really? Jace gets his memory back when he hits his head on a rock? That is literally the most cliché method they could have used. And the worst part is that it shouldn't have even worked. His mind was erased by Nicol Bolas. I don't think a concussion is going to fix that.

Besides that bit of stupidity, the story was fine.
I don't think Bolas wiped Jace's mind, only locked away his personal memories, and even then not entirely, as Jace kept whipping up illusions of people. Maybe it's less the head injury and more being close to a massive source of magic that is bring back his memories.

Also, all hands on deck, rocks and rough waters ahead.

Angrath probably isn't an old walker simply due to the fact he hasn't aged to death. I don't think Minotaur get long lives like elves and dwarves.

    Ohh ooh Wild Guess time.

Angrath is a completely civilized normal guy who would like normally sit around drinking tea and reading Charles Dickens..except he went stir crazy cause he can't leave.

Age to death? It's only been 60 years or so since the mending happened. Granted he doesn't seem like he's particularly old, but you don't need to have any special longevity to have survived since the Mending provided you weren't too old when it happened.

And Yet Lili who presumably always kept herself in the 20s or 30s was gonna die of old age soon, and I can't find a consistent source of Minotaur aging in any setting much less MTG, the numbers go from anywhere from 80ish to 200+ years.
Lilliana spent decades trying to regain the power she lost in the Mending, so 40 or 50 years before she went to Bolas, and I doubt necromancy is kind to the body. Anagrath most likey is just someone who took a wrong turn at Shandalar

Rereading Hour of Devastation and at the part where Jace tries to get into Bolas' mind and losses his focus when a memory of something akin to Bolas' mental defences flashes to the front of his mind. I know people think it was a memory of Ugin's mind, but since Jace remembered Alhammarret here, I think that memory was Alhammarret's mind and his own mind pushed it down.
People think its Ugin due to the similarity in words used to describe them.
The walls around the dragon's mind were smooth and featureless, like dark obsidian. There seemed to be no entry, nothing to even latch onto. Jace had never encountered a mind so impenetrable, except for . . . the merest moment of a memory surfaced of a mind as smooth and dazzling as a wall of crystal. But even as the thought entered his mind, it erased itself, and he could not remember where he had seen such a thing—or even what kind of thing it was.
Jace tried to read the great being's mind, to verify his story, but found it as smooth and dazzling as a wall of crystal.

    Jace never describes Alhammarret.
True, but did Ugin do any mind magic to make Jace not remember trying to read his mind. I wouldn't put it past the creative team to make any mind mage have a similar mental defence

I think it's worth mentioning, from those that bring up the Meditation Realm as the blip in Project Lightning Bug, that we only know about anything the project reads because of Ral, who we now know is an Agent of Bolas. The Meditation Realm doesn't have to be hidden, Ral just has to not mention it.

Also, I don't know if Bolas does know about Jace being there.

Edit: My phone's autocorrect is super bizarre.

I think Bolas made Jace 'Walk to Ixalan. He left an imprint of the Meditaation Plane for Vraska so she could pay him a visit. Plus it seems the compass pointed Vraska to Jace and the cards show Jace figures out how to use it.
