does volcanic fallout target a creature since it says each? if so, then does that mean that vines of vastwood would save a creature without paying the kicker?
I honestly don't think that child of the night is good enough for the vampire decks. Lifelink is good don't get me wrong here but I think it's just being run because of the VAMPIRE creature type to make noctournus a little better instead of running more solid cards.
As for the fetchlands it helps out the noctournus and in my list it gives me access to maelstrom pulse with a sided in forest. I honesly don't think that mono black has that solid of a sideboard to matter very much so the 5 slots dealing with planeswalkers, enchantments, tokens and black creatures is worth it.
if your plan after sideboard is to really on maelstrom pulse then your deck will be very inconsistent due to the fact that out of your 8 fetchlands only four can search for forest, meaning that out of the 23 lands only 5 will be able to add g... statistically speaking your maelstrom pulse's will be dead in your hand most of the time, terramorphic expanse might be a better idea than obsidian flats but the problem with this is that it will make your deck slower. I dunno what could be better than pulse for those slots but i would def look into running something else instead of them if i want consistent draws against bad matchups.

Suppose that I have a monoW soldier deck and I have 4 mana free. I play "elite vanguard", "honor of the pure" and "akrasan squire" in the same turn... Can I use "Mindbreak Trap" at 0 cost?
yes, it would cost 0 since 3 spells have been played but you will only be able to exile the last spell played since it would be the only one that remains on the stack, all the other ones have already been casted and are no longer spells.

so basically all mono red needs now is a good burn spell and its good to go...
it seems like red has 2 options, going mono red all in with a bunch of haste creatures or red splash green for goblins, what do u guys think?
