Thanks for all the response guyS. So I've been goldfishing for some time and found it to be quite resilient and a little bit difficult to beat once you get solid plays from T1-T3.

One obligatory question, to what deck does the Boss Sligh fold to? Whip decks I suppose?

    Hi everyone,

Can anyone enlighten me against what matchups/when are we supposed to use the ff. usual sideboard cards?

I've been seeing these in lists recently and I need to make sure if I am justifying using them the right way. Thanks!

I might be wrong on this, but I'd want to use both Mogis's Warhound and Prophetic Flamespeaker against decks with lower creature count, that are slower.
So maybe against control decks, various Jeskai decks, and maybe against the more removal heavy Mardu decks.

I personally would want Searing Blood against other aggressive decks, and against midrange decks with creatures small enough to "combat trick" some kills with it. Most likely Temur or Green Devotion( where one could kill the mana dorks and still damage the opponent without risk of a chump block).

Thanks for this! This is actually quite helpful. One question though, were there any instances you bestowed the Warhound?

Anyone think that Hall of Triumph can be useful? Running it alongside the Shorestalker can be good.

I actually us situated just right in the meta right now. Not too hot, not too cold. The thing with Zoo is they rely so much in their greedy manabase, this is a weakness we can heavily use against them via Spreading Seas though I believe, will still be marginal, but it's a good start.

Faeries will be rising probably at first as Tier 1.5, then will reach Tier1 in a few months, this will be good since it will pushing out some decks out there, I'm still not quite sure which decks, but I'm guessing it will be enough to warrant a strong position in the meta for us (They have Islands lol).

The key for us right now in this new meta is to stay consistent and be adaptable to change, just enough to cope up especially with the decks that will make a resurgence. But overall, it's business as usual for us my fishy friends. Smile

Wizards seriously needs to stop swinging that banhammer like an Eye Gouged Cyclops.

Anyone knows at exactly what time will the announcement be made?

Have you considered putting a Madcap Skills or 2, or even 3 in the SB? I brewed a similar list to you before and dropped it since I focused more on Modern. But in my testing Madcap can just straighout steal games. and Exava works wonders as well for this deck.

In your testing Rogue, how can you say the deck fair against decks you have played against? I'm thinking that outside Jund, Twin and Tron, the deck could be really powerful against the rest of the field due to the amount of harassment you can dish out with the enchantments.

Then again, since it's basically a devotion deck, in your testing, is it mull to Nykthos? I'm seeing that unless you open up with an effective hand which can stall out until you find your Nykthos, the deck itself won't be that consistent because I think before anything else this is the issue that we need to address. Sure, Mesa Enchantress is there to give CA but then again I personally feel unsafe dropping her on turn 3 and having Bolted without me getting any chance of me protecting/profiting from her.

Have a good night's rest prior the day itself. Don't stay up until 3am playtesting and tweaking your deck all night long. You will regret what follows the morning after.

Never, EVER forget triggers, whether your's or your opponent's. If an opponent missed a trigger and you're not sure what to do, call a judge.

I would suggest not to bring your tradeables as if it's a big enough event, chances are you would have your attention divided between protecting your deck and protecting your tradeables.

    Amulet of Vigor

I've been playing with a friend of mine and I have two Amulets in play. I played a Golgari Rot Farm and told him that due to the 2 amulets triggering, I can tap it two times so I could produce 4 mana from it. He doesn't believe how I have phrased the ruling, I tried everything and he can't seem to understand it. can someone tell to me how should I properly explain to him how the triggers go into the stack? Like how should the layering of the triggers would be so I could have him easily understand how it works?

It's not a matter of language barrier, we both speak the same language, it's just that I am having problems telling him how the abilities accurately goes into the stack. Thanks.

Two words: Golgari Charm. It's in a lot of sideboards right now, and even Illness in the Ranks (which completely hoses Twin in every form) makes it a 4-mana 2/1 with pro-red. I don't see the point in raising our curve for one creature that CAN be good IF your opponent isn't ready for it and isn't playing one of the many, many decks that can get rid of it before you untap.

To paraphrase Ree, Charm would only matter if it caught on. Same for ranks. Plus, in game 1, no Jund player would be wasting their slot playing at least 2 Charms or 1-of of a Charm and Ranks in their main, that's a pretty bad Jund list, unless of course his meta is 60% fish. The point of MoW against Jund is the fact that you have, at the very least something that they cannot virtually find answer for pre-sideboard since you need to steal the game from them once you're staring at a board with 2 goyfs and you only have an Adept and a lord.

Restricting him to :symr::symr: would be good since if he will have exactly Chandra's 0. Cause if he would cost 1:symr: Jund would gain so much advantage running Bob and the "Red Bob".

I'm pushing that this will complete the 2cmc cycle for red since as is, I don't see any direct implications to standard that will make him break the format in half. In modern, he's fine as is though I still think that his P/T should remain at 2/1 since making him a Red-Bob-Bear would be too imba IMO.

Just a side note, since he will be having Chandra's ability, maybe we can 'him' into a 'she' and name her as Chandra's Seer or Probably even here follower and she'll look something like this:

    :symr::symr:
    Chandra's Seer
    Creature - Human Wizard

At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top card of your library, you may play that card this turn.

    2/1
