I'm going to be honest; I'm kind of disappointed so many badasses aren't entering the competition. I know it took my chance of winning from 0% to .01%, but I would really like to have seen you guys flex your brains, because I've been impressed thus far.

Edit: As for the layers; Timestamping was somewhat what they did in the past. I'm 100% sure that the layers will be tackled once again or tweaked or what not within the next 5 or 6 years. Everyone agrees that they are slightly unintuitive; no one agrees how to fix it.

Edit2: and with that I retire for a few days so that I don't see any Multiple Choice answers. Take care!

Don't worry, I'm still doing the competition..

On a serious note, I'm looking forward to the MC test in 10 min. I won't have the time to do it tonight but I'm gonna check it out at least so I can think while going to bed. Good luck to everyone, most of us will not make it through.

Have you tried copy and pasting your current resume onto a new document? I'm not aware of any default settings that do this.

(But, then again, I'm not aware of any MS Word 2007 default settings. It'd be nice if the program could remember your font and font size for once. -.-)

EDIT: If this is on a new document, what are the first buttons you click when you open the file? Do you select any of "styles"?
EDIT 2: I've tried to reproduce your effect and this occurs when the user highlights both lines (UPenn & Bachelor...) and press "tab". If this is what you're doing, only highlight the line you wished to be formatted.

No, I just highlight the bottom line. And both move still.

I'm curious about the number of people who have submitted and will be moving onto round 2. I know everyone who submitted and followed the rules will get a chance to do the multiple choice portion, but I feel like the essay portion was a decent work requirement and may have turned a lot of people off.

Has MaRo given any numbers yet?

So I'm trying to make my resume in MS Word 2007, but the formatting is absolutely frustrating me. Basically, text constantly moves together with text around it. If I have this written:

    University of Pennsylvania
Bachelor of Science in Economics Candidate

and then I try to tab the second line so it looks like this:

    University of Pennsylvania
............Bachelor of Science in Economics Candidate

    it just looks like this:

    ............University of Pennsylvania
............Bachelor of Science in Economics Candidate

The lines move together. Likewise, if I highlight a line and try to bullet it it will bullet all the text around it, or if I try to right-align text it also messes everything up. If I have

    University of Pennsylvania May 2012

and then I highlight "May 2012" and do right align, "University of Pennsylvania" also right aligns with it. If I have

    University of Pennsylvania
    May 2012

and do the same thing of highlight just "May 2012" and clicking the right-align button, "University of Pennsylvania" also moves. I can't format my resume with all of this nonsense. Is there a way to stop this?

Just submitted my answers. What a relief (I had to do them early b/c I'm leaving early tomorrow for the weekend). I feel good about some of my answers, great about 1 or 2, and badly for only 1 or 2. Overally, I'd say my responses are above-average in the level of detail and thought.

Well, I'm done the essay portion. I might visit it again tomorrow to change my answer to number 5, I don't like my answer too much. Unfortunately I'm leaving friday early so I can't spend more time on developing my answers, but I didn't want to use that as an excuse. I spent hours today on them.

    Please youtube 'Clownstep'.

    /thread.

It is the most horrifying thing I've ever heard, and I love electronic music.

This movie was extremely good. Only behind Inception and maybe Toy Story 3 for best film this year so far.

It was funny, intense, and at the end it left me both jealous and inspired. I could do something like that too. I just need to put in a ton of work. A ton. It gave me newfound respect for entrepreneurs for the work they have to put in to be successful, and it also reminded me of the cutthroat idea-stealing world of tech. See Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

Does giving a creature protection from a color remove auras of that color that were already enchanted on the creature?

When I try to load my deck, I get "Cards not found in base". But in MWS, when I'm creating the deck, they are all there. Usually when this has happened to me before, MWS told me which cards were not found in base during deck-edit mode, but this is no longer happening.

    Are some cards just glitchy?

EDIT: Apparently people above me are having the same problem. I searched the thread which returned nothing, hence my post.

I have the bare concepts of what my world will be, and I think it's both unique and cool. However, my mechanics are fine, but not eye-popping or amazingly cool or anything. If anyone would loves coming up with cool mechanics, and wants to help me either refine mine or suggest better ones, please PM me and I'll tell you a bit about my world.

My problem is I have my world concept, but I want to finalize my mechanics before I start delving deeper into the flavor and specifics of my world (locations, entities, etc.)

I think I'm going to compete in this, but I don't know if I'm going to post on the wiki. I hope it isn't considered favorable to post. If I can, I'd like to create most of the set ideas on my own, and maybe eventually consult players for individual card designs.

I'm doing this first so my idea is unique and not subtly influenced by others' work, but also so I can prove to myself I'm good enough for the job. If I can't do the bulk of it myself, why would they be willing to pay me?

    Hey all,

I'm doing an email survey of Catholic Priests for a project. I am interviewing some with the same questions, but I want to run a statistical analysis on their responses and would like as many responses as possible.

Anyone have a suggestion of where I can find a listserv or a large grouping of church/priest email addresses? Instead of googling individual websites and compiling a bunch?

I thought there were some Big Red deck ideas floating around here using Koth, obviously. He's one of the coolest planeswalkers, no doubt. Hopefully he doesn't fit in a tier 1 or 2 deck so I can actually get some for EDH.

In legacy there is a three card combo with Dross Scorpion and March of the Machines. A one-sided instant continuous Armageddon.

    How does that work?
