why print counterspells when wizards just adds on cant be counter to every card printed in the freaking set? the 3 mana 4/4 is pretty sick, but post rotation 5 toughness and 3 toughness are going to become super key.
As him to please not riffle/brige shuffle. If he says no, bridge shuffle his deck as HARD as you possibly can. Play with all your cards facing him or sideways, and with guys in back. Ask him how many cards are in his library, and had, and graveyard constantly. It will get him to stop.
You must be very new or very stupid so I feel obligated to explain this.
First of all your completely wrong about the IL ptqs. There are two, one on 2/25 and the other on 3/31, both @ pastimes, according to the pastimes website. Pastimes is also the store running these events. Stores have no control over the ptq format, all ptq's for Barcelona will be Modern and all ptq formats are chosen by WOTC and change seasonally.
Another point, store owners work very hard and their main focus isn't always mtg so cut them some slack. This is also coming from someone who doesn't own a store.
Lastly the GP your thinking of is in Indy and on 3/10, which is legacy and only a 3 hour drive from Chicago. Though I'd recommend you don't go to any of these events because judging from your lack of knowledge your probably not anywhere close of a good enough player to do anything but 0-2 drop.
I spent 180 dollars getting in and with some good investments/speculatuions and a lot of daily 3-1s/4-0s over the summer I'll never have to spend another penny on mtgo
I have a monster binder, and for the first month it was awesome but about 2-3 months in my bagpack (with only a couple deckboxes) and its falling apart. Its cover and some pages are starting to tear and peel, so its not worth your money. I am just glad I only used store credit to buy it. Try the leather covered ultra pro. A couple of my buddies have it and like it much more then these dumb monster binders.
I went 3-0, more because of good pulls rather than skill though.
First pack had Blood Ogre, another bloodthirst creature, Goblin Tunneler Azure Mage, Llanowar Elves, and Frost Breath (won me all three games).
Second pack had Rootbound Crag, Gorehorn Minotaurs, Duskhunter Bat, Azure Mage, Chasm Drake, Aven Fleetwing, Dark Favor, Trollhide, Tectonic Rift, and Taste of Blood.
Third pack had Birds of paradise and Volcanic Dragon.
I got second (stupid tiebreakers) and won 11 packs. Pulled a Solemn, Chandra, Furyborn Hellkite, three M12 duals, and foil Timely Reinforcements.
Afterwards, we had a free standard tournament because the store still had some packs left. I got second and four packs, pulling a Primeval Titan.
Later, we played EDH from 10 until 2:30 in the morning.
I still haven't lost a game because I did not get a +1/+1 counter on a creature and/or lost 4 life bc of casting AoA.
I have lost games in both of the situations (needing the +1+1 or the life) and also won games because act was instant speed where mark is not. But either way it is definetly correct to run act.
Its ok guys, flood back with all your "creative decks" and be prepared by whichever new top deck there exists, be it twin, valakut or some iteration of U/X control. Next month this time players will whine about titan needing to get banned.
I couldn't have said it better myself. Have fun playing valakut mirrors all day guys!
Frankly, just play online. If you don't play Modo, play Magic Workstation, and record your screen. This will be much, much easier.
Definetly play mtgo and do this, and I wouldn't bother with the camera. It is so much work. Also if I was your opponent I wouldn't allow you to because it would take away so much time from the match unless you get the hj to assign you a seat where you can set up the camera for the whole night, similar to a feature match area.

Cool it. Flame infraction issued.

What store did you happen to go to?

They wana buy my 6 jace tms's or my 5 stoneforge? Good job wizards, tons of people who have jaces are now quitting...

then after you search the card hit print proxies, they will be the perfect size of an actually card.
into the roil is a lot better.
