Don't net deck, it's bad for your soul. Come up with a lit you like that fits your playstyle and is competitive.

The part of the game he probably enjoys is winning and gameplay. Not everyone is into the construction part of the game.

More specifically the link I was talking about is this:

Go to "SCG" (not sure if you can put links for other sites) .com where they have a huge database of current decks. One of the options you can do is click and get the statistically average version of the deck you are looking for. That would be your best bet for a "best" version. Other than hat, do some minor tweaks for the meta.

Mulch is dead if it gets milled, Dream Twist is not. Mulch is only better than Dream Twist in your opening hand or if you are mana screwed. In all other situations I'd rather have Twist

I've fluctuated back and forth between the two, and it really depends on your deck choices. Tracker's is an automatic 4-of

Mulch also gives you lands so you can keep playing spells whereas dream twist can leave you stuck on 2. Food for thought.

You cant be serious. You want to jump through hoops proving that you know how the stack works just to exile one guy.

Sure, the card I suggested isnt great, but its a better option than this interaction.

The whole purpose of the card and interaction are to be flexible. With feind hunter you exile something, with blade splicer you make a 3/3, solemn gets you a land, etc.etc.etc. The point is flexibility. If there ends up being a soft spot for these EOTB triggers then this card might be worth playing. Momentary blink was definitely a card (though this is leagues from that).

Instead of pleading for credit over and over again lets get some discussion started. I can see the sword of war and peace if Rdw and WW are everywhere in your meta and for some reason causing you a head ache, but running 1 of it is pointless. This deck isn't perfect and has room to change, should we add more burn? Should we add more creatures? what changes should we make to make this an even tougher deck to beat?

The burn wasn't particularly great in the list. I was using Incinerates to stop things from wearing swords but those decks haven't been a huge issue.

As for using swords, the best they have ever performed was alright. Typically if you are looking to power up your guys, wolf run does the job nicely.

If you want to make the deck more resiliant, work in a Batterskull or two. If you are disliking UB Control then focus more on thrun/dungroves.

I am Brian Sondag's teammate, Chris Thomson. I'm the one who he and Chapin gave a shoutout to. This deck wouldn't exist in it's current form without me starting the whole process almost immediately after wolf run was spoiled :P. I played a game against the user Cornedbeef on here and she applied wolf run to primeval in a deck. I saw the synergy (herp derp, Ptitan plus lands), designed and made a prototype for the deck. Sondag liked it, started polishing and making changes, then won the event. I wrote an article on it if you would like to see.

Of course Brian gets the big spotlight and well the cheque but I'm proud to have designed the prototype he used Smile

You include a history but don't include the influence. This hurts my feelings Frown

The best thing you can be doing is Spellskite to completely counter the land. After that you still need to deal with the waves and waves of ramp stuff.

I am happy the list I designed is tearing stuff up. For all the brewers here on MTGS, don't ever stop because your lists could end up at the top of a format.

Batterskull as a 1 of in main somewhere and maybe a 1 of in the sideboard is what I was trying to incorperate before Brian went off and won the tournament ;). If you guys are trying to evolve the archetype, I'd be looking in that direction.

And for reference, I am the Chris he was referencing in his article :D.

    Quote from Hydrium
Spreading Seas isn't played because it can disrupt your opponent.

It's played because it can disrupt your opponent and cycles.

If spreading seas lacked the cantrip it would be sitting next to contaminated ground and evil presence in the nickle box.

Nickles would be a great price to move evil presence's at. The main point of the story is that none of the similar effects even hold close to spreading seas because of the cantrip. If you are looking for out of colour effects then go for tectonic edge or red for goblin ruinblaster.

I would probably cut 2 spellskite from the sideboard to make your deck legal in future world.

Twin, UB, and Valakut will be at the top. Boros will do well and so will vamps/mono red.

If anyone was around before jace tms, they will remember control still existed. Little jace will still give card advantage, just nowhere near the power level of tms.

    Tumble Magnet

now. alot of peopl have started running this, including me. its a staple in just about every one of my decks.

but how good IS this card?

the fact that its an artifact, and therefore colorless is very appealing. it adds control to every color...

but, with so many removal cards, such as journey to nowhere, go for the throat, condemn, and many more...

Are these options better than tumble magnet if youre not using proliferate?

or does [[tumble magnet]] work better, or almost as good in alot of situations?

The reason people run it is because it stops swords, not any creature in particular. Your opponent has 2 hawks, you kill one, he equips the other and hits you. With no instant speed equipment being played atm it is one of the safer ways to deal with being hit by swords. The big counter to it right now however is spellskite, which is likely why it is starting to see less play.

Mindslaver is pretty funny against Spellskite as well.

Take your turn, redirect random ability a billion times, you die? gg.

You can put them to 1 or 0, just hope they have an even life total.
