Cards you already own
Fair amount of Shards of Alara things (was my primary set), some original Ravinica things.
Colors you like to play
Historically, I ran a RG splash Black token-eater deck as my primary deck, centered around Predator Dragon. I'm open to anything, though.
Style you like to play (control, combo, aggro, midrange, tempo, ramp, rogue)
Aggro/midrange has been my typical, although I did enjoy my Blue mill back in the day. I enjoy graveyard shenanigans (Literally splashed black in my previous deck just for Necrogenesis).
Budget you have
Very low
Level you want to play at, or aim to build up to (causal, fmn, ptq)
Fairly casual (would like to spend no more than $40 on extra cards). Maybe some games at my friendly local game store.

Thats what im saying, its good, for casual decks, but once you match it against the current Standart meta... mill doesnt work that well. For mill to work it needs to remove a massive amount of cards... not just a few, or a random quantity (wich... most of the time, doesnt even surpases 5-6 cards milled)
You haven't seen what happens on a run of my old T2 mono-blue mill. Yes, run Sanity Grinding without Twincast, but with fat creatures that I don't want to see the light of combat, I've milled people for a good 31 cards before. Plus, there's the annoyance of Memory Erosion. It didn't win me anything, but it was darn fun to play.
I'm more a casual player, although I have participated in some tournaments.
Saying this, I hate that my Mogg Fanatic got nerfed in my mono-red burn. I'll be immediately replacing Mogg Fanatic with Lightning Bolt if the reprint happens (like I'm pretty sure will happen). I don't like that cards got nerfed from combat damage not using the stack.
I honestly have been looking for Red to get some major boosting (since Alara block only put out a few really good cards for Red compared to the good cards for each of the other sets and put out a lot of cards that hosed Red). I run Mono-Red Burn in Extended, so I'm really excited about the Ball Lightnings and the Lightning Bolts.
I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong here, that the artists are given the card names to design cards of before they start making up the art, because the artists are commissioned to do certain cards.
Also, sad that Spark Elemental will probably be going away in Standard, but Lightning Bolts make a really nice replacement. Perhaps the core set will drag us a little farther away from combat and closer to actual direct casting?

I have a suggestion for next time, as well. Dragons, specifically of the Alara-onward variety. Leave out mythic rares. Have fun!
